Been in the bookmarks for a very long time so decided to cross it off the list. Boy, what a pleasant surprise it was. True to its reputation, the food was soooo tastyyyy... We were literally drooling over some of the dishes. To start off, we had the karuvari meen fry which was their take on the traditional vanjaram fry which had a unique flavour and was crispy and hot.. so good.. then we had the amritsari chicken tikka which was my fav dish of the day.. the chicken was so juicy and tender and the spices were just the right amount.. their kozhi rasam had the perfect spice levels and was a bit on the hot side, but thats what u would ideally look for in a South Indian style soup.. the nethili fry was again soooo goood, although the quantity was quite less.. prawn tawa fry, achari paneer tikka and the cauliflower starter were all top notch and we loved everything.. their meat was the highlight and all the varieties were completely different from each other which was like a party of flavours in your mouth.. the fish in the platter was delicious and the chicken wings were outstanding too.. we tried both chicken and mutton biryani for mains along with some mushroom masala and rotis, again so so sooo good... Id give a 20/10 for the taste.. the only problem was the lack of dessert options, but when the food is this good and the price is reasonable, no way Im giving it anything less than 5 stars

Food:Fish/Chicken/Lamb meal – Fish/Chicken/lamb curry served with veggies, poriyal, lentils and payasam.- The fish meal easily emerged out as the winner since it had no frills; completely unique gravy, mild-spiced with a slightly sweet kick- The chicken was too good and with the rice, the gravy was definitely tummy-filling- Not the best lamb yet it was good (low-spice) while the Rasam and curd were the fillers for the mealThe thick and sweet Mung bean pudding too deserves an applauseBeef Bone Marrow Salli – Minced beef sautéed and served with straw potatoes, masala egg and Rotis; it was sweet, thick (little oily) and never had the foul smell. The presentation was done right with the texture of the meat being spot-onBhoot Jolokia Murgh – Chicken in spicy pepper soaked in an Assamese gravy; while this might be spicy for a few, this was just mild for people like us. The gravy was thick and different with great spices, sourness to it; chillies just elevated it to the next levelLamb Biryani – Sweet tender meat in mildly dry rice; the flavours were rich, but something was lacking on the whole as a BiryaniRoti/Kalakki/Podimas – Typical roti with different gravies to go with; the Kalakki was wobbling around with good kick while the podimas was just alrightAmbience/Price:The ambience and service are those factors which makes a place stand-out from other restaurants. Over here, the service was courteous and almost all the dishes were served quick. I felt the staff were always on their toes to serve us; the unique décor and simple lighting were also quirky eventually creating a good vibe. Valet parking available with good seating space too.Also, this place falls in between the 2 extremes of price; neither here nor there, yea, OKAY.

It is located in a prime location. Nungambakkam and Thousand Lights area, opposite to Apollo Childrens Hospital and below the restaurant Zaitoon.I went there with much hope about the taste of food but disappointed. It was a late afternoon for lunch, almost free of people. We ordered 1. Chicken Biryani, which was very much average taste. Quantity was enough for two.2. Mutton chukka in tacos. Truly that was Mini uttapam and mutton curry. Thats all. You cant name a South Indian food (uttapam) as Taco 😂Paid my bill through Zomato pro and got few discount as well. I personally didnt got that vibes from this place to visit again. Though they have good pictures and review from a bunch of bloggers.Not visiting again.

Went to the KNK project for the first time and the food was really good. The tandoori starter was spicy and had a charred taste. The paneer makhani was authentic where the base was not a general onion-tomato paste but has a refined taste to it. Beware, the naan portion is huge. About 6 pieces per plate.Overall nice vibe, good parking, good food. Will visit again.

My visit to this restaurant was unplanned, my friend wanted to eat dinner at some place with calm environment, so I ended up bringing him here. I ordered Paneer Tikka Hare Plaza and Roti, my friend ordered Naan and Chicken Tikka. Roti was cooked well, Paneer gravy was well seasoned. My friend said chicken tikka was delicious. The restaurant was well lit and detailed. Ambience was good. Water was served in tumblers placed on a small model vendor cart. Staff were courteous and polite. They have earmarked parking space for vehicles, so vehicle parking isnt a problem. Few items were priced aptly, other items were priced a bit on the higher side. They accept payment by cash, card, UPI and Zomato pro. All in all a good restaurant and my friend told that we must visit this restaurant again.

Wanted to try this place for a long time. Finally went there on a Saturday with my friends.The food tasted so good and surprisingly was priced well.The people were courteous and it was a well presented meal for us.We had Zomato gold and it further put a smile while paying the bill.

Excellent Ambience. Mouth-savouring food. Warm and welcoming staff. Wallet-friendly prices. This has been one of my most memorable experiences at a restaurant.Went there during their Bengali Food festival between 6-15 March 2020. The dishes were authentic and made me feel like I was having them on the streets of Calcutta. I tried their Kolkata Biryani while my friend tried the Non-Veg thali.

KNK road is witnessing a rapid growth of new restaurants and the latest one to join this list is The KNK Project. Serving a mix of North and South Indian dishes, the restaurant is designed as a local kitchen Restaurant with interiors reflecting the same.Serving small plate combo meals, all items are Adequate for one person and ideal for a 3-4 course meal.Being a vegetarian, though served with limited options, I tried out Paneer, Malai and Brocolli Platter starter, Allepey Veg curry and Kerala brown rice with Roti served with fresh Sugarcane juice. The fill menu is available in Zomato. Incidentally they also have a Thali lunch for 225+.

The good at this place is absolutely delicious. A very different but nice ambience. Its really surprising how spot on some of the Rajasthani food was (having eaten a fair bit in Rajasthan). The Mangalorean food was really good too.

I had a very different expectation about the place and turned out to be a completely different one.I was thinking about a more fusion place, but it turned out to be a proper south Tamil Nadu affair with a twist.The charcoal chicken and the beef bone marrow were simply amazing.

We ordered roti,chappathi and butter naan.out of these breads one was given as a compliment for the paneer gravy.For starters we ordered kinda paniyaram where egg was over it.for desserts we chose orange and lemon sodas.Starter was different and it tasted good.It is the different dish which I havent tasted anywhere else.Hospitality was good.Food delivery took time.

The KNK project is the best restaurant for fusion food of north and south idea. The menu is so impressive and tempting. They served great food, service is really quick and ambience gave cozy and homely vibes. I have visited this restaurant more than 4 times and have never been disappointed in either food or service. And also, everyone should definitely try the chukka tacos. It’s something new.

Good place to grab lunch with friends.Their kebabs are their speciality.

The food here was great. We were craving some North Indian food and this is hands down the best place. The staff was courteous and the food came in no time. The veg and non-veg food was delicious. The food gave us a homely vibe. The ambiance was rusty and antique which was a unique feature. Really enjoyed and recommend everyone to visit.

A very clean and tidy place to have a quick bite. They have a good, decent sitting arrangement. The have a variety of dishes, and juices, the sugar cane juice was fresh enough. The chicken dish was delicious, the breast piece was properly marinated it was totally worth the price. Services were good but can be improved!!

The place had a slight antique decor which felt like the warmth from ancestors. It had a well placed mocktail counter with an elegant area for dining. Celebrated my parents’ anniversary here, I’m so glad I chose this place. They enjoyed the place, the ambience was so good. The staff was welcoming and friendly. They told us to try the non vegetarian thali, trust me, it was worth it. The price is a bit high, it’s worth the penny.

Im a huge fan of fish fry. So I had to try the masala fish fry, it was lip smacking and so crispy. We enjoyed every bite and we also tried the fish plate. The quantity was perfect and the price was average. It was totally worth it.

I and my friends were at your restaurant today for lunch for the first time. At first, I thought of it as any other restaurant but after we tasted the food, we realised what we guys were missing all this time when we expected GOOD food whenever we went out. Visited this place few days back. All the dishes we tried were lip smacking. Enjoyed every bit of it. Loved the ambience and service.

This place is so good, that Ive been there three times in under a month.  Each time we go, we always order the different something.  Each dish is seasoned with its own spices and herbs which come out smelling savory and appetizing, unlike other places that use the same seasoning for all dishes.

I tried chilly chicken and madraas chicken curry, they are lip smacking, loved the service and the ambience was beautiful!! The best part is the price of the dishes are pretty reasonable! Loved the Chicken meal the most.😋

Great food, at first I thought it’s only famous for non vegetarians but they have great dishes for vegetarians as well. All the dishes were mouth watering. People have issues with the pricing but honestly, I don’t mind spending money for his kinds food.
