It used to be very nice before the pandemic. I did not find the food as good as it used to be.

Excellent place for chat ,tasty north Indian food. Quality of food is excellent and the quantity is also pretty decent. The only drawback is they have a temporary not so hygienic hand washing facility rt in the open in a corner of the dining hall. It would be great if they work on the same.

Taste wise its super. Authentic north indian taste. Ive rated 2 only because of the quantity they serve for such a higher priced food. The restaurant should definitely increase the quantity or else they might lose more customers who might prefer any nearby Veg restaurants. I could also see many people have complained about the same issue in reviews.

I feel for those who cant make it to kakada ramprasad or find an ajnabee, Shree Gupta bhawan is an affordable and authentic north indian restaurant. Top picks have to be their chaat and sweets. Their meal options are also really good.

Had hair and insect in the food. When we reported this the manager, he, in cool, said insect is due to door opened. I would not suggest to go this place

We had our dinner at GSB Velacherry on 10th August 2021, We ordered Chinese combo and Garki Thali, There was hair in the food, we reported to the Captain, and dint touch the food post that, and flies flying here and there in food.. Though I have been here several times this is such a awful experience, no difference in having food in street to here. And they asked us to pay the bill for Chinese combo as well. We paid but never we will visit this place again.

Went before breakfast. Had a cup of tea which is better than what I had in years.

Quality is good, but the quantity is very less and attitude of the staff is very bad.When we speak in English or Tamil they dont understand and they reply in Hindi only with a attitude, not sure how they expect all people who comes to the shop to speak in Hindi.

The price is exorbitant and the quantity is far less. Items are availability is also very limited. Food served is not hot and already prepared food is being served..We ordered for roti and jeera rice.. Both were served cold. Never step into it even if it is for free.

Great tasty food. Service is very quick. Decent parking available. Its right on the junction so be careful while taking car out of parking.

Special Rakshabandhan ghevar are available here through out the month of August. Well the reason I mention this is because this sweet is rarely sold in southern Indian as it is a very seasonal and region specific sweet. Very North Indian taste to most of the food prepared and I think they do not use any onion and garlic. Jain/pure vegetarians (but not limited to) could try this place out. Place is clean and food is good. I was very impressed by the papadi they gave in the chat. It does not get soggy and yet is soft and crunchy when you bite it. Overall if you are looking for a place to have North Indian food with authentic taste, go for it.

Servers are slow but the food is good.

Taste was good, view in the 1st floor was nice, service was decent. But the price was bit high for the chat items & the quantity was very low for that price. Avoid parcel (the packaging was good) but it wont taste good after 1 or 2 hrs ,its better to avoid takeaway, Dining was a best choice.

Best place for chat, especially samosas and kachoris. Always fresh stocks are available. Sweets are amazing my favourite sweets (should try) kaju katli, kaala jamun, rasagulla, rasamalai.Badam milk is outstanding but quantity is reduced now compared to last year

Nice place have good service and the meals are also delicious.. Is a pure vegetarian restraunt. The view is quite good from the 1st floor of the restraunt and have a fast food restraunt on the ground floor. It is neither expensive nor cheap its a value for money kindoff place.

Good food. I believe they are clean.Sweets are full of ghee.Savories are nice.Restaurant food is ok. Taste can be improved.But you get only North Indian. None of the South Indian dishes.So plan accordingly. No dosas also.

Very tasty and delicious vegetarian north Indian food at affordable prices. I find that its an appropriate place for typical vegetarian families who want to go out once in a while along with all the family members. The filter coffee served here has got that aroma which is addictive. The restaurant is on the second floor, and the first floor had got chat items and sweets. The dessert such as Gulab jamun and Rasamalai served here are very delicious.

Last time when I visited, the signature dish panneer butter masala was not tasty. I have given the feedback in written in suggestion paper. Hope next time I would like to taste the earlier sumptuous panner butter masala. Awaiting.

Chola Patura was so delicious. Gopi manchurian dry is our favourite starter at SGB.For a visit with family, SGB is a wonderful restaurant.Polite and respectful service is a main attraction along with mouth watering North Indian dishes and chats.Decent vegetarian restaurant to enjoy with friends and family. 🌹👍🤝

Tasty and hygienic sweet, savoury and snacks chain outlet in Velachery.

The bhel boori was fantastic and spicy, a little on the dry side but perfect in every way. The pani poori was even better and is a must have experience in chat food. The pav bhaji was the best though. The pav was so soft but for those people who can not have butter, you should probably avoid it. The potato mash for the pani poori fillings was wayyyy to little and if you ask for more they dont serve it freely. The masala poori was way too drowned. The desert was super ; Presentation-check, Taste-check, brains in the cook-still deciding whether to check or not. They didnt provide a knife to cut the pineapple. How am I supposed to cut the pineapple? With a spoon?

Delicious food but too costly. For these two items i paid 175 rupees.

Typical North Indian restaurant but roti was fluffy and not that good. Soup and gravies are fine. Taste of batura in Chole Batura was not good. Overall ok kind of restaurant.

Clean and nice ambiance. Good food I liked Fried Dhokla, Chenna Samosa and specially the two panis you get with pani poori.

Seriously the service was bad, after ordering Ginger tea & a glass of warm water, it took more than 15 mins for them to serve.I wish they learn to serve water first.

Sweets are awesome here. Pure ghee sweets. They are a little costly. Rs. 520 per kg for milk sweets.

Best sweets we can get

Went to the hotel on September 6 .The waiter was not able to understand tamil, english and hes asking me to talk in Hindi. The hotel is in Tamil Nadu how they wish us to talk in Hindi. This shows the respect they give to our language and state. This hotel is purely for North Indians. If you guys dont believe me try talking in Tamil to the waiter there.
