Was not expecting much from a veg only restaurant, with a not so great decor and seemingly less interested staffs. May be that was all a setup to take us by surprise with some really taste bud tingling food. Borderline awesome but not really a wallet dissolver. Can pick it for a peaceful lunch with a friend or two
Good food.Moderate Rates.Tasty food.North Indian food available.Side Dishes are in more Qty.Fill for 4 numbers.
I have been going to this particular restaurant for years and the taste hasnt changed at all. I love eating here and eat here blindlly. Excellent taste and lovely food. Fun for family and friends as well.
Kind of ok ok experience.. quality is good.. but most of the items we ordered were having less spices and salt too was less.. felt like a bland taste..
-Less staffAvg service+Decent priceGood to go for once
It was a perfect weekend dinner for us.. its my second visit I think, the ambience was good and they diveleverd the food with love. The taste was very good.
Good food & friendly staff
Awesome place. Have been going here since 20 years. Just love the food and warmth of the owners.
Eden after AgesWent for dinner. Order in photographs.Food was very good but am rating 4/5 because of poor service. With three kids in our midst and the smallest one demanding water multiple times the waiter who came to take our order showed his face, when I first demanded that he serve us water.Being in Chennai the first thing you expect is water to be served - here it was not, even after multiple requests.Food was served quite quickly and all items tasted very good. Food presentation was equally impressive.
Have been having lunches and dinners in eden since inception. A wonderful place to have good quality vegetarian food. The owners are one passionate bunch
Visiting this place was a sudden plan. While looking for a pure veg restaurant with multiple varities found this place...The options was many. Had Italian and Indian cuisine. Starters were good and tasty. Worth the price. Main course tried Naan and gravy. Felt both gravy were almost same but taste was good. Also had veg Biryani which was tasty and full of masala. Lastly had desert which was way tooo big and can be shared by 3 people for a single serving which was chocolate cake with cream. Had too much expectations on it but wasnt that great as chocolate cake and the liquid sause was hot but the cream was suttle and tasteless. Overall a good experience. You also have tiffin items there in Indian cuisine. Rates are reasonable and staff were super sweet and served super quick. A place worth trying.
Went here for dinner with my girlfriend. The ambience is pretty cozy.Ordered a cottage cheese steak and lasagna for main course and a soup 1/2.The soup was hot and tasty with ample quantity for both of us, the main course was very delicious and they actually have a lot of veggies in their dishes and the quantity is very good as well, loved it.Slightly on the expensive side but totally justified by the quantity and quality.Service is nifty and good.OVERALL RATING : 4/5
Eden is my most favourite place in Besant Nagar to stop by for some delicious vegetarian food. Located on the first floor, it isnt very spacious, but has a lovely ambience and decor. They serve really good North Indian food. The must tries are the continental starter. The quantity is really good for the prices, and is a great place for a happy, satisfied meal with your family.
Well known vegetarian restaurant serving both Indian & Continental cuisine , has been my favouriteDine out for over two decades, 5 stars keep it up
Menu was very good to read in the card...but food was prepared by using cheap quality ingredients...food was tasteless...service was quick but everytime we had to call for plate and cutlery...the waiter refused to give fingerbowl to us stating that he is busy...only thing good abt the place is...it looked clean and neat... nothing else....
Amazing vegetarian dishes! 100% recommend.I had the lasagna which was just blissful to eat.My friend had the spaghetti Supreme which was average. The deserts were filling too!
They should serve a good quantity for the price they charge
It is so funny that I always eat 6 or 7 items last 25 years out of several hundred best and tasty menu they have. I love their Tomato soup, Paneer Tikka, Garlic toast with Cheese, Fried Masala Papa, Chilli cheese toast, Cutlets, Biriyani and ofcourse the best Grape Juice. One of the best place to eat - vouched by my family members and friends. 😀
Taste like home food !! Especially during the pandemic...my goto safe place !!
They have given a new definition to vegetarian food in terms of taste and presentation. Its an amazing place to enjoy delicious light food. If u want to eat light, dont forget to have cream of vegetable soup and mushroom on toast. Its yumm!!. And finish ur food with a pan which u get downstair shop. Happy eating!.
#veg#casualdining#continentalThe place is a bit cramped. It does not have a great ambience for the price they charge. This is the first time I tried veg continental dishes. It was not that great may be for a pure non vegetarian like me.Fried Babycorn, I loved those. It was french fries equivalent.Hara bhara starter, masala pappad was okayish. We ordered spinach pancake which looked like lasagne and also tasted like lasagne with spinach inside. Few ordered roti with tender coconut curry and capsicum curry.Tender coconut curry was watery and more keralesque while capsicum curry everyone liked.Spicy bowl rice was standard taste of spicy rice with gravy.Overall experience was decent. If you want to try vegetarian only restaurants with continental dishes, try Eden. But come with no expectations.
This is a great place for continental dishes served with Indianised twist. Be it a lasagna or mango cheesecake or corn starter, you are very likely to love them. Service and ambience are good and have remained the same over years. Bit pricey though. My visit in Aug 17 costed 1k for 2 people with basic starter, main course and dessert order for 2.
Always love Eden food. Comfortable place for dinner.
Eden is a great little restaurant in Besant Nagar .No fuss, clean and neat. Very popular. I was there for lunch and the place was packed. We ordered Indian and Continental from the menu and werent disappointed.Great mocktails. Big plus according to me - they use paper straws. Nice to know they care for the environment.I ordered a lasagne, other dishes ordered were the Madras risotto, piri Channa and rahi vada. Everything was tasty and the portions are generous. For dessert we ordered a slice of the Bannofee pie and Tiramisu. Both were excellent.Quiet efficient service. Casual place which attracts people of all age groups.
Excellent. Tasty & quality. All the best. They are maintining the same quality. I knew this place for the past 25 years. Same quality & tasty food. Superb Ambiance.👌👌👌
The worst restaurant, had to climb 2 stairs , service was pathetic, hardly two people actually working, shut the hotel earlier than the given time,in conclusion not worth the time, money and distance.
Wow they serve this amazing carrot alwa with spiced cream so yummy and delicious. Superb hospitality greeted me with smile and came to me immediately whenever I wanted to order a new dish. So quick serving and constantly take away the plates to have a neat lunch. Highly recommended to all age people. Keep up the good work especially the staffs are amazing.
The place is not like before.. Standards have fallen.. Cheese based items are too bad.. Lasanga was pathetic
Only cheese. Other than that no taste in it.
Decent food. Nice vegetarian options. Not much crowd on a weeknight.
Very good Italian Food .. please visit unless you dont opt for Coffee or tea😉
Taste not upto the mark
Delicious food, gentle ambience and a gentle buzzing of conversation. A very homely restaurant that attracts families and friends across various age groups. The food has stayed with the same recipe for over a decade showing just how good it really is. My personal favourite is the spaghetti supreme. A stable choice that you can always rely on in a city that has its restaurants constantly replaced by competition. Eden has stood the test of time which is a testament to its quality.
Nice food, good service and reasonable price. Tried a cream of mixed vegetables and a quesadilla, both were perfect, hot , creamy, crunchy as needed. This restaurant is in first floor. Plenty of paid parking spaces available around this place.
My all-time favourite!!
Been there for dinner on a Saturday but they do not take reservations and fortunately we got a table after waiting for 10 mins.Loved the dishes and our personal favourite was kurmi naan and the mushroom saute herbed rice.We usually dine in at Harrisons eden but as its closed we tried out this place and the food is pretty good except for the ambience and too cramped for our liking.
Love Eden. Their food, polite service, the ambiance, feel very relaxed dining there. My favorite restaurant in Chennai !
As good as it was, most trusted food joint
For all those who love vegetarian food, this a right place. They serve a variety of dishes both Indian and continental. Corn on toast, lasagne are their signature dish’s. Do try them.
Good place to dine. Channa was awesome! Bit pricey though. Lasagne was not great - too much of pepper. Cheese uthappam was not great either
Nice quality food but need to be patient as very slow service
This is a very good veg restaurant.
The Aubergine Parmigiana under Chefs Specials was just wow! Everyone in my family just loved it. And the Lasagna with its multiple layer was yummy! ❤️
Usually our most fav ,homely atmosphere joint and will never miss. After a year of lockdown and staying at home, called to check how crowded they are these days. A rude reply said,at 6pm, how can we assure . We 4 reach at 7pm and see center occupied by more than 30 people, adults kids,no mask and total noisy. Avoidable for covid reasons.
Good food.. naan was bit hard, but starters and sides were excellent..
Generally good.. would not recommend North indian... continental dishes were however very good
Very cramped restaurant. Taste good but service below average. Ambience very normal.
One of the best places to have pure vegetarian continental food with some amazing deserts too
Lovely restaurant. Excellent food. Nice experience.
Service is very slow during peak hours. I was a regular once..but of late find that the food taste has gone down considerably. Tomato soup was plain bad, Lasagne not baked well. Hope they improve the quality.
Food gud order will be deleted
Full marks for food. The panneer especially was fresh, the hallmark of a kitchen that uses fresh food. But the wash and restroom are abysmal. Abysmal. Abysmal. Abysmal.
Really good food at affordable prices. Very well sanitized as well. I liked their sphegatti and their desserts.
Good food , Value for money.
People who save are very polite,it is clean, food served is freshly made tasty.
The food is always custom made, and fresh ! They have not lost the quality and taste eversince they opened !
Its OK. I guess, during such pandemic times, food may not be as great as before. Compared to what we expected, the food did not appear or taste as much. We had to ask for extra salt & pepper. The spices were also misplaced.
Enjoy the quiet ambiance and the place for vegetarians continental and Indian cuisine
Food was not good at all...
Nice...... Dropped in based on my previous experience years back....
Must try the apple pie. Great service.
The quantity was super but my favorite is Nutella rocher
Great food, neat place.
Rate, taste, variety perfect balance. Try it with ur family! And friends!
Excellent quality, sufficient quantity, courteous service, top class time management
Food, ambience , service everything was good...staff had their masks on whole time...
Delicious fresh food!
Not an usual retreat. This time at eden was a very pathetic experience. The place used to be good for well prepared dishes especially nachos and lasagne, but it aint now.
Excellent food 😋
Awesome food if you want to diff veggie food. Small place with about 15 tables. May have to wait in weekends. Weekdays are good to get quick tables. I personally live the veg augruntin. Parking is by yourself on the main road, no worries both sides can be parked.
This is very famous vegetarian hotel in Besant Nagar. Vegetarian dishes are decent and vegans might like the food a lot. Id visited this place about 16 years back and went there today. I could see one thing has not changed in this place. Customers are made to wait for long time. Might be because there are few who wait the tables. If that is changed, experience would be very different. Hope, they correct it soon
Good place, taste could have been more spicy
Best to explore for veg ppl. Good varities of menu.
Best spagetti I had in chennai.
Great food.
Osm food jus loved it
