Restaurant ambience was very good. The waiter is doing some sort of marketing techniques to sell their foods. In my point of view really it is not worth for the money pls dont waste your money by spending here. Quantity was very small compared to other brands and the taste was really very average and even the road side biriyani taste has very good. I was really disappointed after eating here. I had spended ₹300 on mutton biriyani and its not enough for me. Pls ignore the rate I know that it was cosy and I went there it was my fault. The only good thing here was they are serving their food in banana leaf, I liked it. And I cant able to compromise in there taste it was really not worth for money.

They dont even give appalam and rasam for veg meals. Worst customer service.

Awesome place. Everything we ordered was quite delicious and authentic south Indian food. One must visit this place to experience true South Indian Ambience. Special Royal Meal (even if it is just a little expensive) is a must try dish. This place is located in the heart of the city which makes this place accessible easily.

One of the best place in T.nagar, food tastes great and the price was according to it. Price may look high but for the taste of the food its worth it. Staff were friendly and there is no long waiting, after order within minutes you will receive the food.I visited on Sunday evening for dinner and was shocked to see the place not crowded 😅. Everything was good but we had a slight disappointment, the quantity of the food for the price given the could have provided some more.... Other than that everything is good must visit this place.

Basic non vegetarian foods. Nothing extraordinary. Biriyani taste was as usual. Mutton chukka was good. Naatu kozhi (country chicken) bit bland. Elaneer paasam was good. Overall good place to satisfy your hunger.

Visiting this place for the second time. For non vegetarians it is a good place but for vegetarians it is not so. The location is excellent as it is located on pondy bazaar where you can do the shopping before or after your meal.

Loved the menu and food service however I see that they are not focusing on other aspects of customer service, such as they have poorly maintained wash taps, wash basins things like that, when it comes to overall experience all this things matters, not just food.

Visited during a very busy lunch time. Waiters werent very polite. Had to wait for sometime to get a table. Food was above average. Ambiance was good, but the time that we visited, the place was fully packed and noisy.

We went here around 7pm and the restaurant was empty. We first thought it was closed but after we stepped in they switched on the lights. Our cravings to have non vegetarian food was broken. Nothing was available from the menu they offered. Not sure why they even handed their menu to us. Then they told us only two or three items were available. We ordered a hot and sour chicken soup and to our disappointment, the chicken used in it was old and it stinked. Also the soup wasnt consumable. We couldnt have it. Then we ordered only tiffen available that night which was kal dosai and that was decent.

Cleanliness is maintained. Good food and friendly service.

One of the oldest restaurants in Chennai but I feel now the quality of food is missing when compared to last 10 years. We can enjoy authentic chettinad food and some dishes at least retain the same old flavor where I used to enjoy for almost a decade. Place is bit congested with no room for expansion. On holidays its crowded with more wait time. Happy Dining.

Good place for Chettinad cuisines & Briyani. The service is good but the fleet of stairs is quite steep to climb & senior citizens will find it very difficult to climb. Food tastes quite authentic & well air conditioned. Parking on the Pondy bazaar is always a big challenge.

One of the worst place for non veg items. We ordered a naatu kozhi briyani, taste wise it is zero. It was like tomato biriyani, and the chicken pieces were broiler chicken. And the egg which was provided along with briyani was purely a spoiled egg and very bad smell was coming from egg. We told the supplier to take off the egg they didnt do that.Finally we complained to manager, he just apologised but we paid the bill amount for that spoiled dish since we dont want to argue to the people.Just because they have a brand name we checked in. Very worst hotel. Washroom were not clean. I recommend people never to check in these kind of hotels who give lame reasons for their planned spoiled food for earning money.

Worst service even at the non peak hours.they will charge you for the bag with their branding in it.. which is not at all acceptable.i had to wait for more than 15mints for takeaway, which didnt turn up.when I questioned them, they took my customer copy bill and went inside..no message conveyed to me.. again I had ask them about my bill and the food.they asked me to wait for another 5 minutes. Poor service for the amount you spent.. anjappar lost its name longtime back. Still I wanted to try after a long gap..its getting worst day by day!!

Big No to this restaurant. I ordered Natu Kodi Biryani and they gave me spoiled biryani. Also they didnt give Natikodi they served boiler chicken instead. When I questioned they counter argued it was natukodi only. After few days i feel sick and suffered with viral fever. They are cheating their customers. Be ready to fall sick for going to this restaurant. Big NO NO NO NO. Cheaters.

They have employed two Durbans at the entrance, who will salute you 5 times so that you give them a tip. I find this very very disgusting.Went back to the hotel, yesterday, glad to observe that the durbans were missing.Food & service were good. Now rating improved to 4 *
