Have been regularly visiting Woodlands for more than 20 years now. I always loved this place, the ambience and the food. I definitely expect the same standards everytime I walk in. The team has a huge responsibility in keeping up with the same levels of service and the experience you have been providing your clients. Visited them on a Friday morning for breakfast and the place was reasonably crowded. But the service levels were far below than what you could normally expect from Woodlands.

1. I planned to go to Chennai from Mumbai for treatment of my mom in shankar netralaya. We were me adult, my mom 65 years, my daughter 14years.2. I booked stndard ac room through go ibibo from 31 aug 21 tue to 2 sep 21 thu of with Rs 350 off using icici offer.3. I checked in at 5pm. There were 5 to 6 blocks in hotel, few restaurants, banquet hall, swimming pools were there but due to corona swim pool was closed. The hotel has lots of open space and felt luxurious.4. Room had balcony but lil small, services was good, two single beds were adjoined but not close enough, sunlight was hard to come in 1st floor. Food, laundry was on the costlier side.5. After sometime at 7pm light cut and they tried a lot but our blocks electricity doesnt get restored. After many calls they arranged a executive room at 9pm in main building which has 2 rooms and spacious, but it also didnt had good sunlight coming. But they compensated my precious 2hr of evening time by giving executive room without any extra charges but tv didnt work for my entire stay.6. Check out time was 2pm and i requested for extra 2hr but they granted me 1 more hr, Next time ill not go in that hotel. Its safe, but nothing much for timepass in hotel premises

Its a ritual to make my first stop at New Woodlands hotel every time I come to Chennai. Their Mysore dosa is to die for and sometimes the thought of tasting it again is all that keeps me sane while being away from home (Chennai). The spicy chutney smeared on the inside of the dosa will leave any spice lover wanting for more. Go try it and you wont be disappointed. Heaven for vegetarians and vegans.

Went to vrindavan restaurant. Very highly rated place. It has the 90s decor that restaurants had with boxed out seating tables against the walls and posters decorated on the wall.but didnt deliver on the food. Had idli sambar & must say that it was really disappointing by the usually very high chennai standards.Paper dosa however was crunchy, but the masala and chutney definitely need to be bettered.Thumbs down.

I intend to write something irrelevant here but will receive support from majority. From my college days, Woodlands Drive-in Restaurant near Gemini flyover was my favourite and was very heavenly. After the land was taken back by Tamilnadu Govt, this paradise was shut. I wonder why the same Govt spares rich christian schools, colleges and clubs that have taken on lease similarly even after expiry of lease. My suggestion to Woodlands Hotel Owners is to open a replica of the Drive-in Hotel in the outskirt. Now that most of the people own cars or atleast two wheelers, without any doubt it will do roaring business and bring back the glorious past memory too. It would be better to own a land for this purpose so that the business can run unhindered
