Too much bureaucracy....... Less public service
Bought a HIG flat at Dumuduma from OSHB. It was supposed to be delivered by Dec 2019, but handover not in sight yet. Each time they give a new deadline and never meet. Meanwhile, we pay interest to bank, pay rent for rented accommodation and cannot claim tax exemption on interest. Only way to get any update from them is by visiting their office at Bhubaneswar, no support at all over email/phone/website. Absolute headache - avoid at all costs if you still have a chance.
My son booked an apartment, allotted through lottery in June 2011. The brochure promised completion of project Kharavel Enclave within 36 months. Had a dream of staying there after superannuation. When I came back to Bhubaneswar in 2016 even the foundation was not complete. Had to stay in rented apartment for a year and a half before moving into another apartment bought from a private builder at a hefty cost. Was charged 40% cost hike in in Kharavel Enclave with project completion in 2019 June. No commitment for handover after occupancy certificate, even specific flat is yet to be allotted through lottery, whose promised date is being postponed frequently. Being a RERA registered project, has lot of irregularity and deviations for which cases are going on. Very poor overall experience.
A stage agency with unacceptable incompetency. I had applied for a flat (Kharavela Enclave) from OSHB in 2011. Paid every penny as per the provisional cost. I am made a fool of it with OSHB dragging this project and increasing the cost. As per the requirements I cant even apply for another and dont have a compensated exit clause (SIC). I dont know why Naveen babu is not taking action against such incompetent bunch of jokers at OSHB.
An agency of Govt of Odisha to provide housing to the masses. Until recently only going for projects on PPP mode. People are not getting the property in less prices.
Well got a property from OSHB..
The State owned Housing facilitating organization since decades.Parking available outside the campus.When land mafias and unethical land brokers on the rise, thi Housing Board was/ has been a trust worthy seller of Houses and also lands.Being controlled by Govt, it enjoyed enormous flexibility, but yes, high level of time taking documentation processes.

Too late to handover house building to allottees. Demanding out of expection final cost after prolonged period delay of project. Not taking into confidence to allottees to inform them proble delay period & also some devition from initial estimate made without informing the allottees of self financial project.
Like all governmental organisations , Odisha State Housing Board has a big building in the main centre of Bhubaneswar city that is Unit-3 area as its Headquarters, only 1km from State Secretariat. But unlike other states, this organisation is in a deep state of slumber. They dont have the vision of a 21st century to dream of providing housing to the burgeoning population. Redtappism & corruption is synonymous with their name.
