As soon as you park your car, you can hear the gentle rumble of the sea, despite being unable to see it. When you walk into the woods towards that sound and people of the camp greet you with their simple gesture, at that moment you know in your heart that you have arrived at the right place. Camp Bichi is one of the best places to experience nature and simplicity.It is peaceful, clean, and surrounded by Casuarina trees and sea shells. One can hear the sound of sea, birds chirping and music of leaves so clearly. Oh! The sunrises and sunsets are sights to behold, sky full of colours. I havent seen this beautiful sky anywhere else in Odisha. Either you sit on the shore and see small small crabs running around; you can play, dance or swing on a hammock gazing at the stars. Nobody is there to interfere with you except when it is meal time or when you want to hear their stories! Everybody is well trained, they know the art of appearing and disappearing.Hospitable staff, authentic delicious Odia food and trained dogs which follow guests to ensure their security.Visit once and youll be in love with this place and camp people forever.

Couldnt have chosen a better destination for camping being a first timer at affordable prices. The serene atmosphere, the morning view, the hospitality... Everything just fits right in. If you are a lover of nature and wants to get a step closer, then this is it.

This being my first beach camping experience, I was excited and nervous at the same time. The camp is bang on the beach with no outsiders except few care takers and 2 dogs (pets). It is secluded, clean & serene. The team Gilehrio were always on their toes for any help. Thumbs up!!Will definitely recommend to others.

Gilehrio offers you an authentic camping experience, as close to nature as it can get. Everything is simple about the place and gives you ample scope to chill. Extra points for the food. Have a feast with the local fishes and traditionally cooked vegetables and non-vegetarian meals. A must visit during winters.

I recently went to this place with some friends. Amazing place , home cooked food , bang on the beach and an excellent crew. The best thing is the concept of keeping it community led .Also got to meet Bichi bhai who is best known for his conservation initiatives for the turtles. Looking forward to go there again.👍

Camping experience was so nice. You get to eat the local cuisine made by the locals. If you are someone who love nature and hate crowded areas, then this place is for you. Good thing about them is they make sure they dont affect the ecosystem (which is very rare nowadays)Thumbs up for the Experience. Will recommend all to visit once atleast.

A complete experience. We had complete privacy to the beach, with a feeling of safety and constant assistance from the staff. They have a neat enough toilet for a camping site. This being said, the ambience of the place late at night is unmatched.

I was swinging in heaven when here,The place is ultimately serene and blissful. Do reach before sunset and wake up early for sunrise.If you are a non odia, you are gonna savoury the best food ever!

Definitely one of lifes best experiences. Their beach camping is the much-needed detox from urban life. Sleeping to the sound of sea waves, walking through the casuarina forest, clean and good tents with all essentials, authentic coastal food, bonfire, and the sweetest hosts! Camp Bichi Gundalba is a must visit. ❤️

Today we had the honour to visit Bibhu Maharana sirs house, it was such a privilege watch him paint and teach us the intricacies, techniques and authentic colour creations of Pattachitra. He fed us lunch and told us many stories.When I asked him, when people copy his work, does he feel bad? He smiled and said my work is to create, I dont think beyond that. I dont think if I will earn money, I dont think if my work is better or worse than others, I definitely dont think what if someone copies my work. I create, thats how God made us, to create. Not to compete or compare.This workshop was organised by Gilherio, Bhubaneswar. I will request all Odisha based artists, and beyond to take this workshop once. Not to learn art, but to learn the humility and knowledge a person requires to be an artist. ❤️

*A Soulful night...*It ws really a lovely experience at the camp with amazing ambience & really awesome host who made the camping experience easy, smooth & entertaining.And I must say the bonfire with music was just perfect along with the waves, still mesmerized with the feeling...For me being there with life made it more special and unforgettable.A must visit I would say.At the end this is what I have to say for Camp Bichi Gundalba......ab to jaate hain but-kade se mir phir milenge agar ḳhuda laaya......Now leaving the enchanting beauty. Will meet again if brings my destiny...
