Nice place to hang out with your friends , family or couples. Its calm and quiet and peaceful. If you love nature then this is the place for you. I wish it I could stay there forever😉.This is the place I dream of having in my life. Greenery every where. Different species of plants & flowers & all. I love it ❤️. You can visit this place again and again and again but the best part is that you never get tired of this place.Entry is chargeable but worth it. Its open 6 days a week.Monday is closed.

The State Botanical Garden spreads over an area of 75 ha. It is situated in the sylvan settings of the moist deciduous forest of the sprawling green Nandankanan sanctuary hemmed between two wetlands. The Botanical Garden was established in the year 1963 and was under the management of Horticulture Department. The management of the State Botanical Garden was transferred to Nandankanan on 1st August 2006. One would be definitely impressed by the nature’s symphony and the exquisite touch of the wilderness here. This is one of the pioneering plant conservation and nature education centre of the State. The State Botanical Garden is sure to provide memorable experience to the green enthusiasts. The State Botanical Garden is situated inside Nandankanan wildlife sanctuary. Kiakani Lake with an area about 25 ha. is located inside the State Botanical Garden.

Another botanical garden near the Kanjia lake. In addition to the terrestrial plants, some aquatic plants are also there being grown in the lake. Both flowering & non-flowering plants can be seen. The garden along with the lake creates a sensational landscape.

A beautiful, well maintained and enjoyable place just on the banks of Nandankanan lake. Artistically constructed roads, summer huts, variety of flowers and greenery all around makes the place a perfect destination for travellers. Street food vendors scatter outside the main entrance of this place make your time great. Inside the garden you can find different types of medicinal plants along with flower beds.Twittering of different species of birds is pure music for your ears. A fantastic place for the children to move around and enjoy the cool breeze blowing accross especially in the summer days.

The authorities do nothing about the single used plastics around the lake. People do not care much about the lake too. I found bottles and lays packet in every corner of the lake. Vendors near the zoo sells everything in plastics, no regulation by the forest authorities. There is also no dustbin and signboards near the lake.

It is more or less the same type of park people visit .It has different varieties of flowers and different types of garden like Mughal garden and Japanese garden .Its good place for photography as you will get good shots as well as for couples as the park has many romantic spots the entry fee is about 20 rupees.you will see a lake nearby were you can do boating.The park is adjacent to Nandan Kanan zoo so you can visit that also . Great place to go during picnik and New years.

A Must Visit Place near Bhubaneswar - Cuttack. Very Quite place with lots of informative plants, flowers . You can see the way they were grown inside of the shed as well as open sky.You have to spend at least 4 to 6 hours. I recommend to have a note book ready to note down many things , that will guide you to build your own rooftop garden. A smartphone will work also but i like the calm and quite place to scratch my pen on Paper.
