A really calm and peaceful place. Almost going to touch a hundred years. Only flip side is that entry is restricted only to the parsee community.

The Fire temple is strictly only for Parsis. Entry for Non-parsees is strictly prohibited. Zoroastrianism is the only religion in the world which does allow people from outside which means that you cannot convert to this religion unlike other religions of the world. Its a close knit community of about 40K people spread all over the world, mostly wealthy people. I am writing this for the information of readers from what i know.

The Parsees /Parsis ( zoroastrians in India)are a group of peace loving & God fearing people who worship fire. Their temple is called Agiary (Fire Temple). The Parsi Fire Temple in Bangalore is located in Queens road. In the Sanctum Sanctorum of the fire temple there is an eternal fire burning all the time. They use only sandalwood for this fire. Only the priest of the parsi community is allowed to enter the Sanctum Sanctorum. The Holy book of the zorastrians is Kordeh Avesta with the Vendidad which lists the prayers & tenets to be followed by zoroastrians. Now, there is about 300 parsi families in Bangalore. Majority of the parsees are non-vegetarians & the authentic parsi dishes are very rich in calorie. As they are strong in religious beliefs, Inter religious weddings are not permitted in parsi community.
