Amazing huge banquet hall. Lovely ambiance and heard good reviews about the food. I havent tasted as I dont eat where non-veg is also served. Its a personal choice.However amazing place and good hospitality.

Just today we checked out from this hotel. We stayed 2nights here. The rooms are really good. The maintenance is up to mark. Toilets are very good. The location is just awesome. Church Street is just 1min walk. You can enjoy the Japanese crusine here. Even they serve in Room. The hotel is Old but, its really up to the mark. I expect some more options in Breakfast.

I had to check-in late at 11 pm, I had called up and informed the reception staff in advance in view of it being a weekend, despite that, the cab driver, myself and google maps had a hard time locating the hotel. There were no lighting at the entrance, the gate was locked, no guard and no display. Reception staff was cordial. The room was cozy, but certain things really let the stars down. I had a thinking that 4/5 star hotels provide round-the-clock room assistance. I wanted 2 glasses, room service did not respond, and reception said hotel had closed at 10.30 pm, it is 11.30 pm now, and that I cannot have 2 glasses at 11.30 pm. That was 0% professional, 0% courteous. I want blame the reception staff, she was apologetic enough, but it was something she clearly had no control over. So, I believe the management is to be blamed. Morning breakfast at restaurant was perfect. The one steward and stewardess in attendance were truly couteous and professional. AT THE END OF THE DAY, NOT A 4/5 STAR EXPERIENCE FOR ME, BUT IT WAS TRULY WORTH THE TARIFF I PAID (Except for not getting the glasses).

The rooms were amazing! But again the service wasnt quite good. Some of the people were gentle whereas some arseh*les were quite rude.

The hotel and location is nice. Did not try their restaurant as there are many other options around. However, I was unable to find the exhaust fan inside the bathroom; feels funny yo write it.

The staff at the chancery hotel (Lavelle Road) was very very very rude. I don’t know her name but I got a wake-up call at 9.45ish in the morning. She asked me if I wanted to extend my stay to which I said no but requested her if we can extend our stay by an hour or so as we were very tired. To which she said “if you want you can extend it by a day”. I told her I didn’t want to do that and if she can please extend it for an hour. She was so rude. She said “no we can’t do that as it will be very embarrassing for us to make the other guests wait RIGHT”? She clearly made no sense. You are okay if I extend my stay by a day but not by an hour? You can give me the room for a day extra and that wouldn’t embarrass the other guests but giving it to me for an hour extra would? Learn to talk to your customers. Hospitality industry is supposed to literally be polite and kind. I paid for the room. So do not show me this attitude. I wasn’t staying there for free and it was a polite request. Teach them how to respect and treat a customer! Highly disappointed and wish to never take a place in your hotel.

Hi, Room experience was good. I checked in for 2 days and complimentary we got 2, 500ml drinking water bottles. (i.e, 1 litre per day) for 2 persons.When called and asked in reception for water the guy came with two water bottles and questioning me for no reason how many of you stay in room, we give only 2 complimentary water bottles, if you want more youve to pay 150 rs. per bottle which cost just 10rs. Bailey Mineral Water Bottle.Ive been to Marriott, Ive been to ITC, Ive been to chola, I never felt this kinda experience in my lifetime just for a water bottle.He is a laundry/support person who is responsible for only to deliver things what has been asked for customer request.I felt so bad and awkward who the hell he is to ask me how many of you stay at room, why youre asking for water bottle.Do you think 2 water bottle will be sufficient enough?? that is 1 litre for 2 days. What the hell was that, if that would have been a paid one also I would have bought it.Ask your laundry persons to behave their self with customers instead of questioning how many peoples are in room and water bottle will cost 150 rs. No welcome message, no proper response, bike parking is hell.thanks,

The room was excellent but I wish the spa was active. and I saw a very huge porcupine look-alike rat there feeding on leftover food outside the room doors. But overall loved the hospitality and Japanese concepts.

Good place to stay & its located near to MG ROAD, BANGALORE CITY JUNCTION 5KMS AWAY & 37KMS TO BANGALORE AIRPORT BIAL..

Though I booked a king size bed, while check in they informed, two single beds are available. For king size bed I have to pay 1000 plus tax. Finally give me that sort without extra charge, thanks for the generosity. Room service the worst ever experience I have, asked three times for the bathroom door mate. Being wooden floor, I dont want to wet the floor and damage it. Every hotel I try to keep the place tidy in a responsible way. Altogether its totally disappointed.

The staff is either overtired or doesnt care at all. The room service doesnt respond. Everyone is generally rude. This doesnt feel like a good hotel at all. The front desk is non-chalant and passive aggressive. The room service doesnt feel like its their job to tend to the customers. The rooms are nothing to write home about either, at least you would expect good rooms. I booked a deluxe room and feels like it doesnt matter if you pay extra for a deluxe room, theyd have put me in any room whatsoever. Maybe the staff are thinly stretched or have checked out of their own respective duties. But this has been a frustrating experience so far.

I booked a late night stay and the overall experience was not very pleasant. The reception staff seemed annoyed by just the interaction, and her frustration was well evident. Clearly she hated her job, and her tone and outlook was a little bit hostile.I was told that the room service would be available but limited to one or two items, and yet I rang them four times and didnt receive a response.The rooms were neat but definitely needs maintenance, and the staff needs to be trained to be more hospitable and welcoming . In short, if youre in Banglore you should consider other hotels before settling for this one.

WORST EXPERIENCE AT THE CHANCERY HOTEL, Lavelle roadWe booked 4 rooms, and it took them almost two hours to check us in. They required front and back for IDs. The receptionist Aditi, was very rude, arrangont and very inconsiderate and also gave us a key to a room which other guests were staying in.When we ordered glasses, the hotel brought us unwashed glasses with stains on them.The AC was not working in one of the rooms we booked. When we called for help, an executive came and lied to us and told us it was working. We called again, no response. In the morning, an executive came and repaired it two hours before checkout. When we went to complain about this to the manager Aneesh, I couldnt believe it that he more rude to us that the receptionist. And he stated, I DID NOT INVITE YOU TO STAY IN THIS HOTEL with a raised voice. He said contact the app in which you booked it and raise complaint there.How is the service and maintenance of hotel problem of the app.This was the worst experience I have had ever in a hotel and this is supposed to be a four star hotel.I HAVE VIDEO AND IMAGE PROOF OF WHATEVER I HAVE STATED ABOVE AND WILL DEFINITELY POST IT ON SOCIAL MEDIA.I recommend visiting the hotel only if you want to be treated this way.

Good rooms . A little old construction but well maintained. Everything but the room service was not good . took too much time to bring items ordered . infact had to call 2 or 3 times for a single item . also little baffled that they charge you for ice. Rooms. Check- In .

The receptionist (Aditi) treated us badly, passed comments and created an issue with our ids. The ac didn’t work the entire night. We called them to check on it and they lied to us that it’ll work. Next morning we call them back and house keeping said the ac hadn’t been working. We spoke to the manager (Anish) about this and he says “I didn’t ask you to book this place”The rooms are not even worth 4 star.Oyo/lodges give better service and respect.I left my earrings in the room and called them to check. They found it but they broke it and sent it back. This was done on purpose as they bent the nib completely. And when I called them back they hung up on me and started cutting calls/or leaving me on line. The cheapest place I’ve ever come across. They ruined my stay also. The staff treats their guests cheaply haven’t seen any place fall upto this level.

Very bad experience. Mr karthik and the receptionist were very rude. From the beginning their behavior was outrageous. Did not feel like staying in the room after seeing their attitude. Very unpleasant. Do not book here thinking its a good hotel. The management and staff didnt know whats happening in their hotel. They were blaming us for being in the room for 4-5 hours when we had been there for only 1 hour. Night shift experience was horrible.

Great staff. Hospitable. Old property but with modern facilities

The standards are not as per a 4 star hotel. The washroom wasn’t very clean and when I asked the room serve, they just said that it’s the cleanest they can offer. The cleanliness was worse than a one star hotel. The staff is helpful but very very slow. When I checked in, the key didn’t work. I asked them and they took 15 minutes to fix it and all the time they just kept me waiting next to the door with luggage. Same goes for when I asked for water bottle , they took much more time to deliver bottled water. For me it was worth for the price I paid (less than 2k). Otherwise you get much better experience for a 4 star hotel.

Clean: 5/5, rooms are old with some foul smell, drinking water issue once complementry is over they will also not provide normal water, although staff was a bit helpful, usually they offer nice japnese cuisines, nearby locations are really nice, to have something great you can go nearby to church street. overall they can improve a lot at this pricepoint or reduce the price to make deal value for money.

This place is centrally located. And located in a very vibrant location of Bangalore. Close to MG road, Brigade road,Koromangla and Indiranagar. Staffs were very polite and helpful. I have been offered an Ayurvedic drink as wasnt feeling well and was traveling alone. Value for money. Recommended

They didnt have a room available for me even though we went a bit early. Then they made me wait for 2 hours past check in time. The staff was courteous, but the least you can expect at a hotel is to be checked in on time.

The stay was good and the staff were amazing. Kudos to them. We went on the last day of the year and it was during the pandemic. So their dinner buffet with a complimentary glass of wine was an offer to cherish at an affordable priceQuality time

The rooms and the hospitality both are not upto the price. They services and promises that are made at the time of bookings are fake.The staff starts blaming each other for make fake promises and at the end the customer is left with no choice.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Ambience was so good. Food was very tasty. Cost was less compared to facilities.

TERRIBLE POLICIES WITH THE DUTY MANAGER TRAINED TO GIVE SARCASTIC REPLIES.Ive stayed here for a couple of days. Two hours after checking-in, the duty manager has called up and requested for a change of room citing that another guest has requested for the room in the same floor.I had to leave the hotel on the night of day 2 to meet a friend without any request to clean the room nor to collect any clothes for laundry. I have returned to hotel the next day morning only to find out that the door of my room is kept open by the hotel staff. Ive called the front desk for the reason to do so. Instead of apolozing for their mistake they started giving me excuses in the name of laundry collection and cleaning the room. The room was neither cleaned nor any laundry was picked.The duty manager has the audacity to pass on sarcastic comments and was telling me that I can go ahead to file a complaint in the consumer court.@thechanceryhotel, its high time you train your staff and duty managers to address the customers in a way they are supposed to be addressed.

The perfect room for two. Clean and hygienic, their room service was quick however had to ask for a lot of things separately and even though they say its possible to extend the checkout time for a few hours in the booking offer its hardly the case.

At center of the city quite decent ambience no rush and hush food and service is pretty much promt and tasty

Good hotel in heart of Bangalore

Extremely poor service. You have to repeat every order order and have to wait for one hour or more. BE IT room service or laundry bags or menu cards or cleaning the rooms. Even the phones they dont work properly. The staff displays a lot of attitude if you repeat or ask more than ones.

Bathroom was not clean and water was stuck on the floor, since the floor was not slope.

Ive chosen to stay at the The Chancery every visit Ive made to Bangalore over the past 5 years. The rooms are spacious and clean, food always delicious and I found the staff to be courteous at all hours. The location is ideal, making it within central Bangalore and all within easy reach of MG Road, Brigade Road, Commercial Street and Barton Square. I always get a great welcome whenever I visit and with prices being so reasonable, its my choice of residence every visit to this great city.

I m working in swiggy today morning I had a food delivery in this hotel I reached at 2:30am and customer said to give it to reception customer said room number but it was wrong and reception guy was like here out side food is not allowed itseems and they wont call the customer also and he said thats it first of all customer was hungry so he could eat from your hotel but he ordered from swiggy so i need to deliver it at any cost that reception guy was like no respect to talk with me because I m working in a low profile job is that way to talk I came here to deliver food who is staying in your hotel so that my job to deliver and its very bad feeling when it happens

We have a lovely time here, one of the best hotel at affordable price. Rooms/ washroom are very spacious, clean and tidy(Premium room). Very humble and courteous staffs. you will enjoy the little bit Japanese culture here. The taste of food is superb. It is situated at very good location. You can visit nearby places like Ub City mall, Skyee, Cubbon park at a walking distance and have a beautiful evening. Attaching some photographs for reference.Note:- I have booked this hotel by seeing review on Google and little bit confused whether this will be good decision or not. But when we enter the hotel, its just amazing. Overall must a visit hotel at affordable price.

Its an old-style infrastructure with average setup.the normal check-in time was 2 pm.even though we came to check-in at around 5 pm, they made us to wait quoting room was not ready. told us to wait for half n hour to 45 min, when we demanded the front desk officer she said us, its common in this hotel to make the guest wait. after demanding more we got the room.Cleanliness and hygiene was not upto the mark. we have booked for king size bed, bt Instead they gave twin beds.the stay was not upto the mark.

Food is good in there.

The standard rooms make you feel like you are in a cheap hotel. The bath tub was stained yellow w3ith salt sediments. These rooms need a renovation ASAP. The premium rooms are really good work clean rooms and electronic master panel for light and fan control. There is no pool. There is a Japanese sento bath but its a nude communal bath. The breakfast and dinner buffet are generally good. The Japanese platter served in the breakfast is unique.

Upscale hotel near MG road. Service is great. Breakfast is good with lots of options. Rooms are decent, but not worth the price. The building is old and its visible feel it in the rooms and bathrooms. They definitely could do with some renovation. Ample parking is available. Location is good.

It was a beautiful experience. The house keeping in there is really pleasing and you will never feel strange and has a lovely food. Really enjoyed the lunch. A Lil bit costly but taste is awesome. For 1.5k 2 ppl can have a exhausting lunch that will give you a really good cuddly nap. Id surely visit chancery again.
