Limelight Orchid was good. The reason for giving 3 star was because of hygiene and service. Food spread was really good. I would rate 4 ⭐ for food, but for hygiene and service its 3 star ⭐. Probably because it was an open dining it is very difficult to maintain full hygiene, but service can be improved a lot. After you enter the hotel you will be guided only in the initial phase i.e. providing a table and at the end for bill payment.

Limelight is my fav place since 2000. Till date, there was never an occasion when I came back dissatisfied. Every time, weve enjoyed to the lees.To sum it up !!Food Spread and taste amazingYou can be carefree and leave child to play in the open lawn areaWe visited again on 19th Sep 21 and this time we were mesmerized by the live music. The singer has belted out from retro Michael Jackson to Maroon 5. Its just amazing.Keep it up

Nice food and pocket friendly. Good range of starters and main course in the buffet. I hosted an alumni gathering for my UK University there last week, everyone was happy with the place.

We Went there to celebrate mothers day with my family. The ambience was very nice with indoor and outdoor seating available. The buffet spread was decent but nothing great. There were two types of vegetarian and non vegetarian starters only. In main course also very limited items were there. Service was very slow. Only two staff were there to serve all the guests. Otherwise no complain about food quality.

Visited the cafe around 3 30 pm , we were famished, and the only ones there. They had just finished serving their Sunday brunch so the tables were not yet cleaned and the place was messy. Finally got a clean table. Service was slow but this was expected as they were just clearing their brunch. Despite that they accommodated our order and d were even flexible to customise some dishes. Kudos for that.Positive- The food was overall good, we ordered egg curry, parotas chicken fried rice and khichidi.. except the khichidi the other dishes were good. The staff was friendly. I like their outside seating area. Menu is reasonably priced and has a good variety for a 24 hr cafe. The Negatives- absolutely dirty dirty washrooms. The glass doors to the Limelight cafe we dirty n full of finger marks, and no ventilation inside. Tables were crowded with no form of social distancing being followed. For a place like Royal Orchid one would expect better housekeeping and higher standards.Didnt see any form of safety protocols followed and this was scary. Our temperatures were not checked, tables not sanitized, cutlery and plates being touched and given to us and the pepper and salt shakers on the table were grimy and unclean. In a Covid 19 situation this is scary. Visit at your own risk. 😃

Such a horrible weekday buffet experience. No mutton only chicken and basa. No proper salads only a shady looking make yourself center. No Pizza. Only 2 NV and veg starters (Basa and chicken again) that too oily and disgusting. There were only 4 desserts, the final hope for redemption got shattered by looking at the dessert options.Post dinner feeling - God why me? All in all a waste of time and a horrible lingering after effect . Please avoid this and try popular corporate buffet options for a much more satisfying experience.

I had availed an unbelievable reasonable buffet voucher through nearbuy for 2351rs for 4 people .Situated on the opposite road to Leela Palace, Domlur, Hotel Royal Orchid looks like a magnificent palace. The best time is to visit it is at night. Beautifully decorated. Loved the chandeliers.Even the front yard space was amazing to click sassy pictures. The dinner buffet starts from 7ish pm, it gets crowded around 8ish. The staff followed all sanitary protocols and were very courteous.The menu consisted of a variety of salads, 2 starters ( the murgh chicken was amazing, my family loved the fish ) then we had main course and 4- varieties of desserts. The spread was good enough for 4 people and for a dinner. The paneer was a tad bit salty. Chicken curry was really good. Chicken biriyani was pretty good. And what I loved was that the food seemed very fresh.Lovely ambience and I had an amazing time with my family, so yeah! Please visit!

A Sunday brunch at Limelight is for sure a green affair.. !! Gives you the feels of good old lush & green Bangalore back in the 90’s! The greenery sure helps you relax & enjoy their delish spread which is value for money. The Sunday brunch has an extensive spread with lots of space for the kids to run around & have their bit of fun. The patio setting is so peaceful so we opted for it. They also have indoor seating if you prefer the Air-con. There are 2 Options for the brunch, with & without liquor.They have live music, I had loads of fun as it was really brilliant with songs Most of us can sing along to😀!!Courteous staff! They have 5 live counters for the starters. I got myself a red wine Sangria & started off with some Of the chats ( aloo tikki chaat & dahi papdi chaat were my fav) & dim sums, the margarita pizza was perfect 😀.There is a salad counter as well. Also, the Lebanese counter is yum.. loved the hummus & baba ghanoush.Main course spread is also quite extensive, but after the amazing starters I did not try much from the mains, I did get a bite of the mutton Biryani 😋😋. The main course section, has a the live appam counter too.The dessert counter has cake pops, muffins, cupcakes, Indian sweets, custard etc.( don’t miss the toffee chocolate tart & flan 🍮 if it’s in the menu that day, both are to die for ).In all it’s a good brunch in an amazing setting with lots of space between tables so you have privacy to your conversations.

Ambience of the limelight restaurant is good. I visited on a Monday night. They had ala carte as well buffer as options. Service was good too. Dal makhani is a must try, really yum yum. Subz handi was ok-ok, not worth trying, i would say. Overall decent dining experience.

The place was good. We went there for the dandiya night that was organised. The food served was okayish. Wont say Im the fan of the food there. The ambience is great. With the open meadow, and the beautiful inside, it surely is a good place to hang out, and have a peaceful evening.

Went to buffet and ala carte dinner.ambience is excellent that too for childrens since lawn is there for them to play around .chats were good especially papdi chat one of the best experienced till now. Their special wood fired pizza was special and light.but for the dinner buffet there was no welcome drinks,soup n ice cream which we expected, the a LA carte quantity was good.we specially appreciate the service of shikha Kerala ,she was very helpful making our family of elders n toddler very comfortable in arranging our tables n suggestion of orders.we thank shrika for her service n making us visit repeatedly

Hi All,Although Royal orchid hotel is a pretty big name in its place, but our experience with Limelight was pathetic. One word to describe this place ...”Chaos”... No waiter or any manager had any clue what was their roles. No one knew what to do. The food spread was like a map of india. Everything at every corner and a first timer may have a hard time as to figure out where to start from. I visited on 6th march on my wife’s birthday and was extremely disappointed. My first starter came after 45 min and then you definitely need to Excercise your rebellion side to get their attention. The food quality was average barring few which lived upto its expectation. The service was extremely slow and the rate of refill could be beaten by a tortoise. They have to fix a lot of things right from parking of vehicles to cleaning off tables after some guests have departed and you are offering that table to a new guest. Although i raised this concern there only and they seem to be bit apologetic but nevertheless the damage was done. My two cents: STAY AWAY !!!!

I must say, my family and I had a wonderful experience at Limelight. Mr. Deepak and his team were so kind to us! Special thank you to Sonam who took such good care of us. The food was fantastic and the service was on point. Looking forward to more Sunday brunches at Limelight!

Decent food went their for a corporate team outing . Half of the businesses in the corporate sector are making the restaurants run. Buffet with loads and loads of options food was okay not very great also the service lacked they could not handle a team of 70 people had it been 20 it would have been better I guess. But overall the ambience and food quality was decent with the staff being extremely courteous and polite irrespective of anything

Food here is just amazing. had been to limelight twice and the standard of food is similar as always. Its too flavourful, and tasty. the starters is good only in non veg. but there are very less options in veg starters.main course is amazing. be it veg or non veg.and there are quite a lot of oprions in dessert and most of them are amazing and so delicious. must visit place and it will be really amazing experience

Went here for a function, the rotis were cold and rock hard, the gravies and starters were average the noodles was salty and the desert was horrible!

An awesome place for Thai and Chinese cuisine. Starters/salads were pretty good and really loved their authentic Thai chicken red curry and jasmine rice.Staff were attentive and friendly.

The food at buffet lunch wasnt hot and spread doesnt match the menu in the review. Very poor service on 28 March, as the staff was full of trainees with no experience

We went there for a dinner buffet on Saturday night. The place is pretty lit. Good service, love the starters. Mai course could be better. But overall I liked the experience.

Organized a small party for 40-45 people. Main course was awesome, service was good but beer and starter was very average. But overall enjoyed the place.

Have been there once for a buffet lunch. It was a decent spread with good starters & dessert options. Liked the ambience of the garden facing seats we got, and their service was good. Main course counters are usually crowded cos of poor planning of the set up. Would recommend small teams choosing this place for the buffet to make an advance booking to avoid waiting.

Perfect ambience for cozy party and dinner. We had buffet and the food was not much impressive, as it was cold and not arranged properly. Though loved the service and very courteous management staff which took our cake order at the last minute and arranged a gazebo for the cake cutting.

The place is nice, Ive been here a couple of times but the last visit really disappointed me. I ordered pasta which took ages to come to the table (it was late in the night so it was ok I guess) but it was almost raw, when I sent it back to the kitchen, it again took them quite some time to get it back to me but then again I had the same almost raw pasta in front me. Only this time I kept quite and ate the rubbery pasta. When theyre charging almost 500 Rs. for pasta(from the late night menu) they should at least cook it right, will think twice before going there again.

Good ambience with this open veranda to the garden....but at 6.30pm be surprised with the gardeners coming to treat moskitos with their chemical products... All the charm of this place was gone....

Went here for a team lunch on Wednesday, 4th July and had the buffet.Talking about the positives:1. The ambience is good2. The spread is wide enough3. Pricing of Rs.777/- all inclusive is goodIssues:1. Poor service - no one seems to have been specifically allocated to the table and we were not properly attended to. The restaurant was not crowded and staffing wasnt lean2. There was a live chaat counter outside which we could have used but we were not informed about the same. It was after we were quite a bit into our lunch that we realized that we could have had chaat from there. Similarly fresh pizzas were also being made and served. We were not informed about this when we reached and later someone in the group who had come gone there earlier remembered and asked.3. While the spread was large, the way it was arranged was not good. Dishes were arranged in multiple rows, with some of the dishes out of reach and not being easily visible. When I needed white rice, I could not find it even after looking around the whole spread and then asked someone in the staff who pointed out where it was kept.4. We were offered mixed fruit, which was on the house. The fruits seems to be from the previous day and taken out from the fridge. The juice didnt taste good and was not sweet either. Most of us just took a sip or two and kept it aside.
