Five stars for Taste. Four stars for location and ambience. All items would be super authentic in mangalore style. Ghee roast prawns are finger licking, a must try. Prices are too high. Double check menu card before ordering. Some simple orders might end up you paying 1000 bucks more.

The place is just above shivananda stores. They have vallet parking. The dining space is very spacious and the staff are very courteous. The washrooms are kept support clean. The food we ordered was very tasty food portion size.We would really come back for the fish fry.The fish tawa masala was just delicious, not too spicy or too much masala coating. The fish was fried perfectly.Neerdosa pundi were fresh and good. The Mangalore chicken curry was flavourful and mildly spicy which complemented the dosa and pundi perfectly. Also they give a bowl of tomato sandige while waiting for the food.. and it gets over in no time!

This place is well know for its seafood. The place is clean and the staff is polite. We had the chicken ghee roast which was absolutely delicious along with very light neer dosas. We also had the paneer ghee roast and the prawns pulimunchi which was lovely. We also had prawns rava fry which was good and the patrodi which was average. But a must visit place for sure.

Loved having the chicken biryani with chicken pulimunchi along with the padengi gassi and some breads from Sea Rock when I visited the area few days back, the quality of the food was so good and the quantity of the items was more than enough for 3 of us.The padengi gassi was so superb and so well prepared, really loved having it as the flavours were quite relishing and more than anything the non veg used at this outlet is quite commendable.Do try out the Padengi Gassi and also the Chicken Biryani here at Sea Rock, it was the most amazing experience for me. After so many failed plans to go here, finally made my visit to the Bengalurus one of the oldest, coastal food restaurant located in the centre of the city, just at the corner of Shivanand circle.Started off with a strong masala filled buttermilk,I guess the best way to start ones meal on a heavy humid day.To tell about this place, they serves basically the Mangalorean coastal food which again takes route of authentic Shetty style, so everything you can expect is the rich masala stuffed, flavoursome coastal delicacies.Tried so many sea food starters here like prawns ghee roast, mussels fry, squid, kane fry, fish pulimunchi, crabs n some other. To sum all, every dish here is a masterclass prepared by chefs who has a period of 20+ years experience.Every starter was equally delicious giving the hint of slight coconut oil.And if any vegetarians thinking that this is not a spot for you, you are mistaken my friend, this place really serves hell delicious vegetarian food which I was spellbounded as soon as I tasted. To mention some they have some amazing Starters , to be explicit try there mushroom ghee roast I bet you wont stop for one plate. Indeed a beauty it is.To give a hiatus before getting into the main courseI had there special sea food soup , OMG! Never tasted any mix of prawns n fish with a generous amount of coconut milk n some spices this soup was prepared to perfection. In main course I tried their kotte kadubu, neer dose, with chicken curry n nuggekayi saaru. The best ever combination it was. The nuggekayi saaru was so good that you can feel that essence as soon as you take a bite.To the end comes the real Gamer SEA ROCKS SPECIAL PALAK RICE , I was unaware that palak rice can be so tasty as it is here. The prominent flavour of palak hitting the senses makes you drool more. Must try when you are here.To end a hearty meal we got our hands on the Ragi manni, nothing but a Panna cotta. To conclude, sea Rock is place for all the food lovers especially the sea food lovers.

Welcome to Sea Food Paradise.Firstly, this old restaurant is located in Gandhinagar and closest metro station is mani square station. Parking is possible behind the restaurant. The ambience is very cozy and casual, with wooden tables and chairs spread through the restaurant. At the entrance of this restaurant there is a big fish tank with a pair of colourful fish. Sea food here is just outstanding and upon asking, we understood that this restaurant imports the freshest seafood it can find in the market before shipping it to their kitchen. Lastly, thumbs up to the service, During our last visit, the restaurant service was very good, Staffs were well dressed, well trained and were very professional. I will definitely come back soon. Sea Rock is a Mangalore based seafood restaurant located in Sheshadripuram. It is located very near to Shivanand Circle. The ambience is pretty normal, nothing fancy. You will get an experience pretty close to Fine Dining while dining here. They also have a small bar counter.Coming to food, the restaurant is quite famous for Mangalorean coastal cuisine. They serve South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, Mughlai cuisine as well but I tried many food items from the coastal cuisine during my recent visit. In Beverages, I tried this Kokum Kadi from the which was blended with spices, kokum and coconut milk. It tasted unique and great.Starters:Lady Fish Rava Fry: This looked too appealing to the eyes. Fish was properly cooked from inside and was crispy outside.Chicken/Prawn/Mushroom/Paneer Ghee Roast: Ghee Roast is something that has evolved from Mangalore and spread to various nearby parts. Each dish was prepared perfectly with lots of ghee in it. Loved the meat and masala.Pomfret Tawa Fry: Another dish which appeared appealing to the eyes. prepared with a perfect blend of spices. Good in taste.Silver Fish Rava Fry: Small deep fried fish coated with lots of rava which made it crispy. Tasted similar to Lady Fish Rava Fry but was small in size.Main Course:Kundapur Chicken Curry: It was prepared in Mangalorean style and spices. It tasted different and was delicious.Pundi: Mangalorean rice dumplings, made with rice-coconut batter. Combined this with chicken curry and it tasted too good.Kori Rotti: Thin crispy rice wafers, enjoyed it by topping the chicken curry above it.Dessert:Ragi Manni: This was an authentic Mangalorean desert made of Ragi, Jaggery and coconut milk. It was super soft and had the perfect amount of sweetness. The staff is very sweet and polite. They greet you and help with everything.

The part of the city where I used to go only for Richie Rich Icecream, will have me going there for the lovely manglorean cuicine at the Sea Rock Restaurant !Located in Sheshadripuram ,this restaurant is on the same road where Sheshadripuram college is located near Shivananda circle ! Easily visible from the main road ,this place also has valet parking I guess ! Located on the first floor is a fine dine with indoor seating and a bar !But I could see is family crowd and the place having the bar is kid friendly ,the ambience is well done ,will walls wallpapered and pretty good light shades to the windows ,on a cloudy day like yesterday after the shades should be asked to be raised so that the nice cloudy Bengaluru can be seen ! Seating is comfortable ,overall the ambience is good !Coming to the food here started with Kokum Kadi ,man this was yum ,the chas and Kadi does go very well and this is a must try here ! The starters I tried were paneer and mushroom ghee roast ,looked brilliant ,the mushrooms were well done and the paneer was soft ,but the amount of masala added was more in quantity but for my surprise the taste and the spice was spot on ,any mushroom lover would love the ghee roasts here ,Goan mushrooms are the perfect bar food here ,too yum ,I guess the next time I go there will have the entire portion by myself ! Too yum !The main course included neer dose ,kori rotti and kotte ,local Manglorean cuicine ,tried this with Motte curry and Nuggekai Curry ,man I did fall in love with the neer dose and the eggs ! The palak rice was good to ,felt like palak kichadi ,tasted yum with the raita provided !I missed the iconic Ragi Manni ,hence settled with gajar halwa and gulab jamoon ,the jamoon were good ,the gajar halwa was real bad !This restaurant also serves Chinese , North Indian cuicine ,but the Manglorean and Karwari cuicine are their speciality !Price-4.5/5Quality-5/5Quantity-5/5Taste-5/5Ambience-4/5Taste-5/5Worth it ? - Yes ,neer dose with egg curry are a must try here and even the Goan MushroomsWhether I would visit them again ? - Yes ,the overall experience here was good with courteous staff ! :)

Most unsatisfactory experience!I really like Mangalorean cuisine but my experience at Sea Rock was not at all good. We went there last Sunday for lunch but the food was below average. In all food items excessive coloring agents were used which was a big turn off. Presentation of food were done poorly. The place is also very dull and lacks adequate lighting (rather the lights were switched off).We ordered Silver Fish Rawa Fry, Squid Ghee Roast, Marwai Sukka, Neer Dosa and Pundi. Silver fish rawa fry was quite bland and due to the use of excessive red colour in the masala, mixed with rawa it had an odd pink hue. Marwai sukka was OK. Ghee roast was really bad, the squids were very chewy and the masala was overcooked giving it a bitter taste.

While am familiar & open to most popular cuisines outside India, I cannot say that for the diverse cuisines across India. Coastal Karnataka Cuisine, more specifically Mangalorean Cuisine is something I have always been skeptical to try, primarily with the strong usage of dry coconut.Recently when I got to try Searock, which specialises in the Coastal Cuisine, with a bunch of foodies, I was excited at the same time, well yes skeptical.Thankfully the restaurant offers North Indian & Indian Chinese, so I started off with a very meaty Crab Soup, Chinese Style. The soup was a great start to a great meal, with very strong crab flavours finding its dominance with the sweet corn. The result was an absolutely fabulous seafood soup with some great flavours with a mild pepper punch. For appetisers, my fellow foodie from Coastal Karnataka, not just helped me decide what to try, but also shared a bit of history & the ingredients that go into the dish, focusing on the star of the show, the seafood. The King Fish / Surmai Tawa Fry was a beautifully large slice of fresh fish, perfectly marinated with strong South Indian flavours was just right. I loved every bit of this well cooked fish.Next came the Steaming Hot Plate Of Squid Chilly, a specialty here. I am not A Big Fan Of Squids, but not after having this beautifully fresh Squid Rings in a Chinese Stir Fry. The squids were fresh, well cooked & seasoned & I loved it.Next came a Delicious Fresh Serving Of Pomfret Masala, smothered with strong Coastal masala atop a well grilled whole Pomfret. It was slightly less desirable for me, as the strong Coastal flavours with dry coconut is something am not a big fan of. But I was able to carve out the beautifully flaky fish underneath the masala & could devour it by carefully avoiding the bones.Something very authentic to Karnataka is the Ghee Roast. It is a popular Bunt Tuluva Mangalorean recipe whose origins go back to a small town, Kundapur, close to Mangalore. Ghee Roast has a fiery red, tangy and spicy with a flavor of ghee roasted spices, with a choice of meat added. We had two variations, a Mushrooms & Prawns Ghee Roast. The Prawns version was beautiful, perfectly cooked meat on the strong coastal flavours with a tad bit strength of dry coconut. Am not a big fan of the strong dry coconut flavour, but the ghee made all the difference to this wonderful dish. The Prawns version was a tad bit salty, which made it slightly less desirable. The mushrooms version was perfect, no complaints, strong ghee / clarified butter with coastal masala was just too perfect.Next was some beautiful mussels, presented well. The authentic Marvai Sukka was well cooked, tasted delicious. These Humble Mussels Cooked In A Coconut Heavy Dry Masala was one of my favourites.Too heavy with all these appetisers, we wished to skip directly to desserts, but were requested to try the most popular, Pulimunchi, Neer Dose & Kotte Idli.Neer Dosa With Prawns Pulimunchi was delicious with strong flavours. This Paper Thin Neer Dosa went beautifully with the Spicy & Tangy Prawns Pulimunchi, a Mangalorean Specialty, made authentically with kokum. The Kotte Idli was good, blended well with the Mangalorean Sambar. One of the surprise elements however was the Palak Kichidi that was by far the best I had in many many years. It transported me back to my days in Mumbai, I will keep visiting them again & again just for this top notch dish, don’t you ever miss it.The final course of Ragi Manni or Finger Millet Pudding is a traditional, healthy dessert is India’s answer to the Italian Panna Cotta. It’s whose origins could be traced to the diverse cuisines of Karnataka.{Sea Rock Bangalore} I hear is one of the oldest restaurant serving Coastal Karnataka cuisine in Bangalore for decades, successfully. Service was honest, homely & perfect. I have no doubts that for them to serve such wonderful food for several years always so much on their consistency to quantity which attracts customers again & again.

Hospitality world class I can assure you will feel like at home starting from the entrance till you exit point they will take care of the tiny things as well.Besta Soup - some times I think I am a chef so I know cooking but these kind of places remind me how much I have to gather at least to match their one dish. Its a traditional sea food soup.Prawn Masala fry they served in starter with Manglore cuisine touch and you won my heat. The same thing I have tasted at Anupams coast to coast but Sea rock was the clear winner. In main coursePalak rice - something very innovative loaded with ghee and garlics. I liked it a lot so got it packed and next day breakfast again got an chance to remind about you.Manglorean Crab Curry - so yummy reshma finished it all. Fresh in taste and gravy was good as per the mangalorean standards.Sear fish tawa fry - taste my god its same as my hometown. Its just 6 km from the sea so we always use to get the fresh catch. In Bangalore I use to miss the tastePadengi gassi (Green Moong Dal curry) - I have tasted this curry kerla style its quite same and tasty.Neer dosa and kotte - dont need my recommendation.Ragi manni - in dessert something new I have tasted new. Millet and jaggery the combination is healthy and tasty my 17 month kid liked it.Bon Appetit Chef BB

Sea Rock definitely deserves to be on the list when you want some seafood. Especially if youre craving mangalore style cuisine. The quality of the seafood, including the fish, prawns, squid, is upto expected standards and the dishes are well prepared. The menu is otherwise also quite comprehensive with something for everyone!A lot of the dishes are also great accompaniments with drinks. Plus they always serve a complimentary portion of papadams which are very crispy and nicely seasoned. It is a tad on the pricey side but you get what you pay for and will be left satisfied. The behaviour and attitude of the staff and management is very warm and welcoming. They make every patron feel special.

Centrally located near Shivananada circle in the heart of the city, with a kitchen to bank on good coastal cuisine from Mangalore arena. Lovely delicacies of sea food leaves you mouth watering. Slightly spicier though, one must make it a point to inform the waiter while placing orders to tone down on the affdition of chilly in the menu. Otherwise a great place for a family get together and even for a raszmataaz with old friends.

Sea Rock is located in seshadripuram , banglore . Located at busy roads of banglore .Restaurant is at 1st floor . The ambience was good with a good supporting staff .They can accomodate even a large no of groups at a time .I had ----Drinks:Kokum Kadi-- its a drink , and by taste it feels like you were having chana dal frys used in dosas .Watermelon juice-- the watermelon juice is a extracted watermelon juice and is fresh .Lemon soda -- lemon and soda is mixed to prepare the drink . It can help you for digesting all un wanted foods ( Must try )Soup:Chicken Manchow - the chicken manchow souo was good and served hot .it taste well good .Starters:Seer Fish Rawa/Masala fry - seer fish was freshly prepared and cooked well .Lady Fish rawa fry/Pomfret Tawa Fry/Kane rawa fry -- the different variation of fried fishes . Well you fall in love for it ...Chicken ghee roast- well i felt the chicken ghee roast has less ghee .. apart from that it was good .Prawn ghee roast- well prawns were cooked well but felt additional ghee should be added so that , they can feel the real prawns ghee roast .Silver fish rawa fry- silver fish were good and taste good .Mushroom ghee roast- button mushroom were prepared well but felt more ghee should be added .Paneer ghee roast- panner cubes were properly good but felt more ghee should be given more in ghee roastMain Course:Pundi/Kori Roti/Semiya/Kotte kadubuKundapur Chicken/Anjal pulimunchu / chicken curry --Deserts:Ragi Manni-- powdered brown raggi is used for prepration and no gelatin is used for preparing it . They freeze it and then served it . Perfectly balanced with sweetness.Overall i will love to comeback again ....

Wow... amazing.. this was my expression when i first entered into Sea Rock on Shivanandha circle. From outside this restaurant never looks so posh n awesome until you goin n check out. Total ambience has awesome feel that too in centre of the city on a buzy Shivanandha Circle.Parking i think they have vale parking facility so not to worry about the parking.Go there for a family dinner, lunch, get together, business meet, casual dine out, for drinks it serves all n cators everyones taste.Food is awesome if you really enjoy the seafood. we had ordered some fish dont remember exactly. Well made. Tasty n full for 2 people. And Neer dosa and Chicken curry very good. But the gravy was very thin may be i should have asked before.Service is very neat and prompt and friendly service.Ambiance is the best part. One section they have red light gives an awesome feel of lounge. Nice to sit there and sip beer.Kid friendly.Price wise its bit expensive but considering the place, luxury and kind of food they offer i think its ok. But caution drinks are expensive. Check the menu above, before you decide to step in only for drinks. All in all a must visit once for Sea food n drinks.
