I had my hands on the preview menu of Kebab and Roti Festival happening between 6th - 15th July at Golden Rice Restaurant, Marathalli. The place is right on the main road & easy to find. Indulge in the sizzling flavors of juicy hot kebabs which will melt in your mouth. Relish the special Rotis which finger licking good!The following appetizers were available & tried by us. I must say that the presentation was very unique & one of its kinds supported by fabulous taste. Vegetarian Kebabs with Florets of CHEESY CHARRED BROCCOLI served with brown garlic mayo sauce was totally unexpected. 3 peppered MEDITERRANEAN PANEER served with garlic mayo just melted in our mouth & marination done on it was just apt. DINGRI KI KHAAS with mushroom all over & SHAKA-LAKA LYCHEE stuffed with cheese, Jalapeno and olives were the unique dishes. Never expected a Lychee dish to be served outside of deserts menu ever. Yummy Yummy had a tangy flavored BHUNA TANDOORI TARKARi with Indian spices.All above kebabs were served along with the below sauces. Salsa - Mango Salsa, Pineapple Salsa and Tomato Salsa & Dins -Burnt Garlic Mayo, Spicy Mango Mint and Mint Sauce. Do see the picture enclosed on its appeal. Indian Breads also came in a unique way both in terms of presentation, appeal & taste. Jodhpuri Paratha, Bikaner Paratha & Cheese and Chilly Flakes Kulchas were served hot, soft & crispy.The biryani served with flames & high note of spices was quite delicious.Desserts just made our day by serving FRIED ICE CREAM with caramel banana sauce & Chef twist SIZZLING BROWNIE served with hot chocolate and vanilla ice cream. These are not to be missed at this place for sure. Do visit & I am sure you wont regret your decision.

One of the best restaurants in marathahalli where you could satisfy your tastebuds with their Northindian delicacies. Service is quick and staff are courteous. Food is just amazing and I would highly recommend this restaurant to have a scrumptious lunch.

More than perfect food with nice crafted dishes and nice presentation. The best I would suggest is the mutton in main course. Do try the lassis and the chur chur naan.

The ambiance is good, its quite old restro however they have recently shifted - now ground floor. Its near Lotus park and has its own parking.Food - The quantity of portions served is quite good and more than adequate for 3 ppl. The prep esp for Dal Makhani, Chicken pyaz..... could have been much better. Veg food is good. Overall 3.5 to 4 rating...

I visited the place on a very special personal occasion. We originally wanted to go to a Dhaba but the place had closed and in its place, came this restaurant. We reached an hour before closing so it was peaceful. Ambience was warm and cozy. Service was prompt. The captain was polite. Food quality was good but it didnt taste exciting. We ordered a soup, Rotis, Naans and their best Lamb curry. But somehow, it didnt feel luxurious given the price they were charging. Quantity was also on the lesser side. Would I visit again? Not unless I need to dine in a cozy place with less disturbance from others. Good place for spending family time.

We reached there quite late and they were kind enough the serve us even if they were closing. We had chicken fried rice and chicken manchurian. It was very good. The choices in the chinese menu is very very limited. But yummy. The price is reasonably fixed.

This place has a North Indian section and a South Indian section. The food was better than I expected. The service wasnt too bad either. I would have liked more choice of dishes and a little bit customization in terms of spices. But overall, a good experience. Will probably visit again.

Golden rice restaurants is it just ok restaurant if you want a tasty and delicious meal.I had to eat at this restaurant on a particular day when it was quite late for dinner and I was not in a mood to travel long for having dinner.Neither soup, starters or the main course was especially good or worth remembering.Given a choice please avoid this place.

Food taste is good but due to customer service giving one star. only one fourth of the restaurant was occupied. Waiter came to our table when we waited almost for 15 minutes, that too after we called them for couple of times. Ordered chicken tikka with mint sauce combo (as per menu) but they did not served mint sauce. And when we asked for mint sauce the waiter went to bring it but then vanished.

The food or pathetic, service is even terrible. Half the items in the menu they will say they dont have. Dont ever do the mistake of ordering dessert it stinks, feels like they had safely kept it in the locker and are taking out after ages. Even if it is the only restaurant left in the city still wont ever come here again.

Whatever we ordered, it was good. But concern is that staff are not co operative at all. They take down wrong order n come up with something. Maybe I had bad experience so cant generalise but yes they need to be more active. And staff should know all languages mainly Kannada. It is must.

Been here on a Sunday afternoon along with my better half after hearing a lot about the place. The place is cozy yet grand. I would say classy place with respect to ambiance. I have tried a few starters like stuffed mushroom (dont remember the name perfectly) - It was damn addictive, Paneer Tikka was the best one I have tried till date. It was soft and marinated perfectly. In main course, there was a mushroom dish, which had good smoky flavor and right spice level and went well with Indian breads. The showstopper was Veg Biryani - It was aromatic and best one again. I would like to go often here for good north Indian fare. One of the must try north Indian restaurants in town. But, service is really pathetic and decided not to go!

Pathetic food and bad service. I never knew that fried rice can also be screwed up but they can show how. Gulab jamun can be used to play marbles but certainly cannot be eaten.

Food is quite normal. But it is overpriced. If you have dineout app, make sure you book before actually go to the restaurant. Even if the place is empty, they ll ask you for early bookings, else you wont be able to use dineout.

Its a fusion based restaurent. You can find weird menu items as dal makhani pasta and many more. However, only few of them would be available. However, served food items are better than average. Had north indian items.Its on the ORR with very small parking space available. On our reach gatekeeper guided us to park on a service road.There are very few servers, it may lead to delay in service. Not too huge delay but can be irritating if you are in hurry.Also there is nothing golden as per the name :D.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever visited. I went to take a parcel Bobi Manchurian and baby corn. I waited for 45 min and I paid 420rs for these 2. Tast was worst no salt nothing it was all burnt smell couldn’t have. Cheaters never go to this restaurant again.
