Been to this restaurant for breakfast, it is pretty much crowded because of renovation taking in ground floor. Food is really good, nice south Indian breakfast and dosa options. Will plan to visit this place again for lunch some time. Seat management is also good and priority is given to elderly people and kids(which is really nice gesture). One star less because of one of waiter serving the food, highly annoyed from all customers with any request. Completely agree that with crowded place, it would be tough to maintain but that the job of waiter. The staff either need breaks or should be kept informed not be nagging with customers.Apart from some staff, definitely must visit place for some nice food.
My personal suggestion is that you order for the special banana leaf meal of youre visiting for lunch.Very nice place for having a special unlimited quantity of South Indian meal served on a banana leaf, with a meal priced at just Rs. 220! You will be surprised to see what all you get for a meal. However, this is not the only dish available there. There are a variety of other dishes at lower prices as well. The taste of the for here is delicious!Chinese cuisine also seems to be available here from 12pm until evening.Happy eating!
The special lunch has a great spread which actually brings down the overall effect. Bisi bele baat and pongal is a disastrous combination. The rasam was pathetic. The pricing for special meals is too high and not worth it.
Its good for dosa and other items ,its at Gandhi bazaarv G.Gudi .
Delicious cuisine and affordable rates in a Market Place. But under repair and little inconvenience.
The food was very deliciousDosas and Idlis were of perfect taste
Third class service and over arrogant staff who think no end of themselves.Honest advise: Avoid this place especially on Weekends as the quality of food, service or behaviour is at its lowest.
Nice foodCourteous staffReasonably priced
Must visit place for those who loves traditional food.Whatever you like more never hesitate to ask again. They serve open heartedly.
We tried banana leaf meal. Food tasted ok. But the staff behaviour was rude. We went with our toddler for lunch and hence were a bit slow as we had to feed the toddler in between. Staff were very uncooperative with this. They asked us to get up even before our lunch was over. A rude shock.
Excellent food. Very good service by waiters. All items were extremely tasty. Total 5 stars. Keep up the qiality.
Tasted banana leaf meal, which costed 220/-.It’s not at all worth for that money. We went there at 12.15 for having lunch, they made us to wait for 30 mins to serve this banana leaf lunch. They didn’t even give us a menu card for first 20 mis, finally after asking for coupe of times, they got the menu card.Highlights- idli chutney and obbattu/holige ghee.Rest all the items are ok ok, not worth the hype. Disappointment is they didn’t serve sambar.Went there after seeing Kripal Amanna video, we are completely disappointed. Prices of all other items are also highly priced.
Superb bennae masale ..with chalukya, ctr and vidyarthi bhavan, in top 5 of bangy ..have 2 and settle into moksha for the rest of the day 😌
A one good stop for all-you-can-eat South Indian food. I love their dosas, nice and crisp and soft- all at the same time.
Excellent food !! All the Items are cooked well, extremely delicious and its economical too.Highly recommend
Specialist in Brahmins style foods good masala dosa coffee is amazing every food is special
Good. It is one of the oldest and well established restaurant in balepett road, majestic area. Branch also established in gandhibazar main road. Good ambience, reasonable prices. 👍
If you ever visit this Hotel, please do not order their special mean (Banana Leaf) meal. One of the worst in every aspect. Service, dishes quality and taste its awful. On top of it they charge ₹220 for a meal which in reality the cost of that will not be more than ₹50. Please dont ever waste Money.
The same taste of the main branch in Chickpete is carried here. For an afternoon, the mini meals are more than enough.
Overall the food was good. But I feel the selection of sweets and taste could have been better
Very authentic banana leaf meals. With wide variety and decent hospitality
Best Masala Dosa ever, consistent in taste. Memories triggered :) Badam halwa a must try.
Not so good with their South Indian Full meals. They dont care while serving as well if its unlimited rice/vegetables for that special meals. We keep asking again and again to get it severed. Kamat Upachar is far better than this outlet.
Hotel seems clean & supplies hot water. Also, the food is good & tasty. Wish the Hotel improve well & good luck 👍- Vasantha Raghunathan .
Nice place to visit. Vada and masala dosa is very tasty and yummy
We went for breakfast ,,items were nice ,place can be sourced up a bit ,staff were attentive !
Nice hygienic place, good taste and very humble staff....Had Bale yele oota, all items were excellent..
Terrible experience. Was very hungry and ordered rava onion dosa ...Dosa was white ,battery and soggy.didnt order anything further despite hunger
I had been here for breakfast. Tried the dosa and Poori. The dosa was crispy and dipped in the sambhar was yummy delicious. However the aloo palya was a turn down as it was runny and had coconut. The Poori was not as impressive and the saag that it was provided with was also average at most. Nevertheless, want to try what else is on their menu.
Lunch will be provided in banana leaf, it will be too good. Must try
Masale Dose, Puri and all south Indian Breakfast very very nice..
I did not enjoy the food, Its just ok ok not so great
Poor service and kind of discrimination there i asked masala dosa but they dint gave to us they give to other people , i ordered something but they given someting
Not so good food and not hygiene. Their saghu dosa is the worst dosa i had ever had. Very crowded not sure why.
Service was Pathetic Had to wait 20 mins to get a waiter to take order.Dosa had a sour taste to it. Sambar & sagu was below par.
Try masala idli every evening and weekend unlimited meals
Less staff but the taste was good. Grape juice is worth trying and I felt little costly
Anyone who wants to eat the best(dont forget healthy) Masale Dose in and around Gandhi Bazaar circle, should head to Udupi Sri Krishna Bhavan.(I mean it)A very calm space to sit and eat comfortably. During the afternoon hours, the south Indian meals are really excellent, both in taste and quality. The prices too are not expensive. They can surely pay some attention towards hygiene.Im negating one star is because it closes too early at 20:30. This was the only con that I could notice since a lot of people mostly have dinner way later than their closing times.
Good place and we will get tasty food
Loved the food . Its pretty straightforward. You gotta know what you want since there is no menu. Otherwise youll have to trouble the waiter to tell the items. Its kinda fun. Windy interiors even on the first floor.
Love the sagu masala dosa here
Our family landed here one fine evening for some snacks. It was quite an unplanned decision - we knew nothing about this place. We just happened to be in Basavanagudi the said day, and were super hungry. This place looked inviting from the outside - a buzzing, small Darshini - and so we headed on in.We werent disappointed with the food at all. I tried out a vada dipped in sambar, which was really good. The vada was just right, crisp from the outside and soft from the inside, the Udupi-style sambar bursting with flavour. We got a plate of ghee-drizzled button idlis for my daughter, which were simply lovely too. We also tried out a masala dosa, which was the crisp, fried-in-oodles-of-oil that is common in several Bangalore eateries - none of us are big fans of that, so we didnt like this. The filter coffees that we all had a go at, post our snacks, was well done too, just the right amount of decoction and milk, just the perfect blend of sweet and bitter.Price-wise, this eatery is quite reasonable. The eatery might look like a small place from outside, but it is actually quite big. There is ample seating available, both downstairs and upstairs. When we visited, tea-time on a weekend, the place was crowded with patrons, but we were able to find a table immediately. The service here was not bad, but it does leave a lot more to be desired. The service staff wasnt rude or impolite to us, but were quite lax, quite casual as they went about their daily jobs. A bit more attention to detail would have been appreciated.
A very nice place to enjoy some tasty Udupi style vegetarian food. Had been there for lunch and enjoyed the food very much. Great variety and nice taste.
I visited several times in the past for their unlimited banana leaf lunch which is liked by all the family members. Today, I visited for the breakfast after my medical test in nearby clinic and had idlis. Though I can not compare the experience of a housefull lunch to very few seats occupied breakfast experience, taste also differ where the authentic part was missing. Otherwise, very hygeine restaurant but parking is a problem anywhere in Gandhi Bazaar area
Love their dosey n lunch
An alternative to vidyarthi Bhavan for saagu dosa taste is really good and dosa is crispy try with sambar for a better taste, sambar dipped idly vada is good though vada was not that great but when served with sambar the taste dominates and a coffee to end your breakfast, rates are pretty reasonable.
Due to covid services are limited. But good and tasty food served at reasonable prices.
Excellent South Indian dishes and lunch.
My review is for takeaway. This restaurant is one of the oldest and best place for South Indian dishes. Rava idly, dosa are must try dishes here. Sagu masala is there signature dish. The food was packed well. Chutney they serve goes well with most of the dishes. Price is slightly higher for the quantity they serve, not sure if they have increased during covid time. If you are looking for a good breakfast or evening snacks, this is a good place.#staysafe
The restaurant looked good , we decided to have breakfast on morning at 9:15. There was hair in samber which i almost finised idli with. when this was reported to the butler and the casher they didnte even bother. said its ok will replace ur samber again. they had pathetic interest in their own quality inspection and customer statisfaction.worst
Doesnt taste so good 😜
Nice place with taste since years favourites
Good place to eat south indian dishes including Lunch
Good food.Only Veg
One of the best breakfast places in Bengaluru. Affordable, quick service, good portion size, clean dining area and supportive staff.
Overall they are spoiling the the name which the old restraunt had ... Its like old hotel which followed traditional type of food is now having an Crisis .....Food was SALTY AND TOO OILY for no reason ..... SERVICE WAS WORST .....and all of this at there NEW HOTEL ....The old one with traditional food still has the best food....compared to this new .... Waiters were arguing among themselves for gods sake.. 🤦♂️
I visited this place about two weeks ago. The taste of the food was alright. It has standard prices that can be seen at other south Indian restaurants that serve north Indian meals / dishes. I should probably have tries south Indian here
One the classics of South Bangalore. If you are around this area in the afternoon, do not hesitate to try out the lunch here. Truly authentic south Indian meals served on banana leaf. Indeed there morning breakfast menu or the evening snacks menu is not to be missed either. In case you miss the Dosa at the nearby Vidyarthi Bhavan, this can be a good nearby alternative.
1. Aunthentic Udupi style Vegetarian Good2. Clean and hygienic place3. Value for money
Taste of Sagu dosa has reduced....from past few visits in 2020-2021.Sambar taste is also changed..Missing the old Taste which we got in 2019.....
The banana leaf meal in this hotel is awesome... The variety of items .. the ambience, the environment all are good to experience.. rate is also comparitively good
Good restaurant. Parking available.South indian, North Indian and Chinese food available
They had just started opening. Not much items. We had vada sambar. Not up to the taste.
Best place to have South Indian food
Very good special meals served.
Special sagu dosa is a must try.
Good price..clean service
Foods is ok. Have to be really lucky to find a spot for parking. It would be great if food served is hot. We had food which was mild hot.
A good vegetarian hotel in this part of the city. Tradition maintained. Worth the money
Banana leaf meals is value for money. Good varieties and taste. Prompt service.
Excellent leaf full meal !
