Calming ambience with great authentic japanese food. The pricing, however, is on the higher sideIve been here multiple times and the food has been great. I love their pork ramen ( with multiple types of broth) and their fried chicken. We also tried mushroom and didnt like it as much since it was quite sweet.Vegetation options are very low here.Their fried chicken is quite good too. Their macha cheese cake is more like a sponge cake rather than a cheesecake but tastes quite good. We also tried the salmon suchi which was great as well. You also get a complimentary rice based tea which has mixed reviews but I personally liked itThey have multiple seating options ( on a table, on pillows on floor, etc) and you can choose between them. The staff are courteous and well versed with the menu and can recommend you great food. This may not be an ideal place for those who like spicy food and most of the items here is non spicy. The pricing is on the higher side and I feel that it can only be a place thats rarely visited because of it.

A one timer restaurant - especially considering the money you would spend here. The meat roasts were great. The Nabeyaki udon and salmon sushi also were decent. However they Takoyaki was so messed up it was oozing stuff as soon as it was punctured. The Daifuku was a partial disappointment - the filling seemed right however the wrap turned out to be slimy and weird. For a 5k grand meal, one would not expect this.

Visited Harima which is located in Devatha Plaza on Residence Road for a friends birthday. I have visited this place earlier and since I dont mind bland food, loved it. My friends however were quite disappointed. I love the ambience here.Veg options are good only if you like mushrooms or tofu, the dish that arent with these are quite boring and disappointing. Service is top notch and the staff is excellent at helping out with the food ordering.A must try is the Veg Sushi.Alcohol is available here.

Harima has been around for a while now and it is definitely one of the top Japanese restaurants in the city. The place is a tad expensive but then which Japanese restaurant isn’t? The food will definitely keep you coming back for more as will the ambience. Unfortunately the building that it is in is kinda dilapidated and as a result can be a bit tough to reach the top floors as the lifts do not really work efficiently. Food quality and quantity will definitely not disappoint

I can nitpick on a great number of things about my meal at Harima. Bloody carrots in my miso soup, the freshness of the tuna and the texture of my rice in the maaki, the inability of the waiter to articulate how the ramen broth is made, the lack of coldness of the cold dishes etc etc etc.But you know what.... It was a Bloody Great Meal. Its not uber fancy and they arent trying to be, I think. Honest to goodness japanese food at an affordable price executed with the restraint it demands.Loved It!!! I am So impressed with what they do here.Special mention of the vibe in the floor seating room! Subarashi 🙏

An authentic japanese restaurant in the heart of the city. The staff was super polite and allowed outside food in for my partner given she was under medication and couldnt eat out.The miso soup was really nice and flavourful. It was freshly prepared as it didnt feel overly salty which happens when it is prepared the previous day and reheated. The salmon avocado sashimi was brilliant. The flavour of mayo overpowered the salmon a bit.The sushi nigri omakase was the highlight. The salmon, eel, egg and prawn were the best of the lot and are a must try.My only minus is that they didnt have sweet soy sauce for dipping the fish. The wasabi and pickled ginger were brilliant.

Over hyped place. The starters are average. Nothing wow or out of the world. Guess one has to aquire the taste of sushi. Personally I struggled to eat it. The ramen is nice and the dessert is a total disaster. They give raw dough with chocolate filling and a scoop of ice cream and charge a bomb for that. The best item was the ice cream which I am sure is sourced locally and not made inhouse. I will and the people who came with me will not visit this place again

Edited after Harimas brilliant responseBe warned : Sushis taste is definitely not for the Indian taste bud. My wife and her friend didnt like the taste while I loved it. Sushi is raw fish mixed with rice. You have to dip it in a sauce that is has to be manually mixed with a very small portion Wasabi (Green looking thick chutney).New: You have to taste it more than once. I loved the sushi instantly. It may take some time for others. Keep an open mind while trying Sushi.Hence, make your choice carefully. Their Beef was cooked for Indian taste bud and thats a good starter option.Their German brewed beer was really smooth and good.Very nice ambience and not so nice cost. Its a fine dine and hence, on the expensive side.New: Compared to having Sushi abroad, this is definitely less costly. Considering what Harima mentioned in the response, the cost is worth the experience.

Had heard about the brilliant sushi at Harima a while back but never got around to going there for a meal. After my recent visit Tokyo I was really missing good sushi back home, and Boy! This place does definitely live up to all the hype!We had some sushi, deep fried starters and yakitori and absolutely everything was just delicious! Not as authentic as youd have it in Japan, but very close and as good as it can get!My only complaint is that sushi rolls and maki come in 8 and 12 pieces. You can request for half plate as well but that still leaves you with 6 pieces (8 pieces cannot be halved) which is quite a lot even though the quantity isnt too much. Its quite difficult if youre going alone or just 2 people! But for larger groups I guess it would work out well! All in all... I love the place and Id definitely be going back to try some Udon and Soba as well!

Well most loyal followers of Harima would call it a hidden gem. How else can you explain a quiet, quaint restaurant bang on Residency Road, nestled among offices, overlooking greenery. We all have a friend who recommends you such gems, based on his / her own experience and you cant wait to try it out. Harima comes highly recommend by Fat Piggy and one fine afternoon we decided to act on such high recommendation.Harima is a tastefully done place, quietly crying out all things Japanese. After being swiftly seated, and handed down our menus & some wet tissues, the difficult choices start to hit you. Whether you should go for their curated lunch conbos or to go a la carte. The options under both the choices are not very long, but tempting enough to get spoilt for choice. The combo must be fairly new, that it is not listed here in the Zomato menu.We opted to go with our independent & highly individual choices and ordered a Nigiri Sushi, followed by our mains. While we waited for our Sushi, we were handed some nice fragrant cold towels, and very soon our sushi arrived. We did wait for the waitstaff to explain us the different Sushi spread in front of us, sadly we had to ask someone to take us through. Though, luckily for us, a Japanese gentleman reacted to our plight and came to our help.Happy to help, he took us through what was on the Nigiri platter. We had 7 pieces of fresh seafood + egg resting atop oblong shaped rice. Our host explained that we have Sushi with fresh tuna, salmon, squid, grouper, prawn & egg. Apparently, Grouper as a fish is found in deep waters, not widely available in Japan and is a very expensive fish out there. However, Groupers are more widely available in India, that too in a not so expensive price, that these guys are able to offer them more widely here in India. And their Japanese clientele revisit this place for the grouper. Most of the other fish like Salmon, Tuna, squid, & prawns were fresh produce, sourced mostly locally. We were told to use our hands to pick up the Sushi, the traditional way, with an occasional smearing of wasabi paste or a dip in the soy sauce. There were two pieces of grouper Sushi which me & my friend decided to take one each, adding to that I picked up a the egg, prawn Sushi from the platter. Though am not a big fan of Sushi, I did like the freshness, especially that of the grouper. I have tried Sushi elsewhere and this is the first time am trying the grouper, and I really liked it. A must try for the Sushi aficionado. For mains we decided to try their Shoyu Ramen with Chicken, & a Yakisoba Seafood noodles.I decided to pick up the half portion, so that I can squeeze in some dessert. The ramen itself was perfectly cooked and the broth flavoursome. The garnish, especially the leeks added a flavourful touch in the tongue.I did sample some of the Yakisoba noodles, which was nicely flavoured with choicest of sea food which were wonderfully cooked. For dessert we ordered my all time favourite Matcha Green Tea ice cream. Its a taste not many would like, but I have developed a taste for its neutral flavour with a hit of sugar here & there. My friend choose the ice Kachang style, Uji Kintoki, shaved ice with condensed milk syrup and red bean paste. The flavour was ok, and we expected the shaved ice to be a little more fluffy over the top, a little disappointing from the looks & taste department.Overall a great place to dine Japanese cuisine, a must visit hidden gem, will come back for more...
