I had been there for dinner. The ambience is pretty good with some good old school music. Really loved the posters, especially the one’s in the restroom. Anyway, we ordered seafood sushi platter for starters and, God bless the chef, it was mind blowing! Everything was delicious from there on. The staff were very friendly and cordial. This place is little expensive, but a must try!

Went here on a Tuesday night. It was just my table plus another one that was occupied.Im not quite sure what the theme was? Was it asian? Was it Chinese? Was it Thai? It surely was a tad bit confusing...Ordered a soup, starter, mains and dessert.The music was fairly good and they were playing all 80s and 90s English songs.The food was good, but slightly on the greasier side of things...The service was excellent, but Id like to see them give the same attention with a full house!

Big Wong XL makes a big strong first impression on us. Their biggest plus - the amazing courteous staff who are so friendly and always there to recommend their top favorites. The food is authentic East Asian with particularly many delicious dishes from Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese cuisines. The Chef must be complimented for cooking up such a storm of dishes. In this current day and age innovation is everything. There are so many new dishes with so much innovation in every dish. Their Thai green curry transported me to my first Thai cuisine experience. East Asian food in general has nothing to do with vegetarian food but Big Wong has an array of exotic vegetarian dishes with different alternative options to meat and sea food that can put every other Asian restaurant to shame, hands down!! An amazing experience and would love to see more branches of this in other areas closer to us. Food is unique and priced appropriately high. This was a sponsored food event.

Food was very good, good veg options, average ambience, average service. Sushi was good, starter was very good, dimsum was one of my favourite.Finding car parking nearby is difficult. They do have vallet parking.

This place is great for Chinese food. It has a nice and cozy ambience. Staff are professional. We visited this restaurant on a Friday evening and it wasnt crowded at all. Valet parking also available. Theres a lot of place for two wheeler parking on the road as well. The food taste was excellent and was served fairly quickly. Prices are slightly on the expensive side but it didnt seem like a lot for 2 people because of the availablity of Zomato gold. Will definitely visit this place again for the delicious food.

Peaceful ambience, located right on the main road, with welcoming lighting.We ordered Curry Asian Dumplings, they were the best dumplings Ive had so far. The ingredients mixed so well with each other, and the texture was as soft as butter. Theyd melt in your mouth and you would be left wanting more!For main course we had pan fried noodles with vegetables and white garlic sauce. It was a perfect balance of taste and spices. For pan fried noodles, it wasnt too oily, and didnt leave us feeling too stuffed in the end.Overall, a great place for a peaceful dinner, 5 stars.

Great service, courteous staff and amazing food is the perfect recipe for a great experience. Loved the place, would definitely come back for more. Loved their sushi platter and Korean bulgogi with sticky rice and their Korean style noodles. The dimsums are definitely the highlight of the place along with their delicious signature sauces.

Weve ordered Chicken Khow Suey and Chicken Bolongi. Both were really tasty. Very satisfying for the taste buds and the coconut flavour the Khow Suey gives is mild and appealing to eat more. Very good cooking. The ambience is what you usually find in Koramangala. Great visit for thai and japanese.

I never say to Chinese food. After heard about this place, decided to check it out. The ambience was nice with some quarky wall painting. Lets describe food we had here. We started with chicken hot and sour soup. It was thick soup with lot of veggies, chicken and egg. One bowl of soup is enough for two people. Dim sum- We tried their non veg dim sum and it was delicious. Perfect staffing with translucent sheet. Must try dish. Honey chilli lotus stem- generally we always ordere non veg starters but suddenly we crave for lotus stem. And honestly this dish can beat any non veg starters. The crispy deep fried lotus stem tose with soya sauce and honey. It was lip smaking dish. I couldnt take my hands on this. Will definitely try and visit again for others dishes.

Good Restaurant to try Asian cuisine and has wide options for vegetarians also. The service is prompt. Ambience is ok, can be improved. Do try Aam Panna drink and corn - Palak in starters. The Thai green curry tasted authentic. I would love to visit this place again.

Been to this place with a bunch of buddies to try out as theyre new in town. Overall ambiance is nice, quiet and decently lit. The menu is well categorized with veg and non-veg items listed separately.The staff needs to buck up a bit as they go helter skelter with more people coming in. The starters were great especially the crispy corn and lotus stem dish. Coming to the main course, the Thai green curry wasnt as spicy as expected but coupled with the plain sticky rice, it tasted well. The flat noodles had good enough spice and flavours. Dimsums tasted great with dry fruits and spices. Sushi, lets leave it at that! The beverages are as usual, nothing great. The desserts are the best that Ive had so far! Ended up ordering darsaan on repeat thanks to the honey coated crispies! Overall a decent place with good selection of dishes at not so bad pricing. The staff, just needs to buck up a bit though!

Visited this place for lunch on a sunday afternoon & were happy to see a marginally empty place. We ordered a sushi, which is their speciality & a soup both of them lived upto our expectations. Lastly we ordered a Khow suey & I had really high expectations from it considering our experience with the earlier dishes but we are a tad disappointed by the way it was served. Everything was pre added in the bowl. There were no accompaniments. Would have liked for it tp be served separately but that didnt affect the taste much & it was quite a delight to have. Overall its a little too expensive but definitely worth it.

There was 90s rock playing, WWE wrestling on tv, yet they are serving Asian food from Korea, Japan, and China, in India. It was a bit confusing. What is the unifying theme? What is this restaurant trying to be? The menu and table were slightly dirty when we arrived, which wasnt a great first impression. The placemats were kind of weird, the black dripping LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL on the wall was ominous, and the decor was uninspiring. Oh, and there wasnt anyone here for most of our meal - we ate in the early evening on a Thursday, and the place was empty. The staff were kind of busy in the back, chatting with their friends, for most of our time there, which made us feel like visitors in the restaurant, and less like guests. All of that said, the food wasnt bad. Honestly though, the food was the only thing about this restaurant that wasnt average or below average, which is why Im so surprised by how many reviewers seemed impressed. In a city with so much culinary variety, Big Wong XL really doesnt stand out in any noticeable way, which is why I wont be coming back.

Not many restaurants can boast of every single dish being fab, but Big Wong XL can! Especially their uramaki rolls, bulgogi, and Cambodian chicken. On a side note - virgin pina colada and their apple peach basil mocktails are incredibly refreshing.

The food is good but the service is extremely slow. So in case you are hungry please do not visit here. The sushi is okay. Starters are decent to taste.

We love everything about this place. Went there for the first time with a friend whos an expert in spotting the best restaurants. Ive been there thrice since.The ambience is good. I liked the music they played each time, not distracting but very good.The best part is of course the food. We mostly go for the fixed lunch menu which is great if you want to try almost everything they have to offer at an economical price. Everything is cooked to perfection. The starters, dumplings are all great. We especially liked the sushi, to which we were introduced at this place itself. Being vegetarians, we were skeptical about trying sushi, but were pleasantly surprised with their veg sushi and always keep coming back for more. After having so much, we are usually full, but even their main course, which is part of the fixed menu meal, is also very tasty.One of our favorite restaurants in Bangalore. Highly recommended!

Good Asian food. The best thing that I like is that they have single servings like Asian/Classic bowls, so you can even go alone and splitting between vegetarians/non-vegetarians is easy.One con is that the taste is not consistent - example, the sauce proportion in a classic bowl varies. Another con is that theyre not that flexible with customizations. For instance, I wanted mushroom gravy instead of vegetables, but I was told that they can add extra mushrooms but they cant make it all mushrooms.

Went this place to try their sushi!!They have lots of varieties for sushi both veg and non veg!! We tried salmon and chicken sushi and chicken dumplings... delicious food and reasonable rates..highly recommended!!!

The chicken clear soup was actually chicken soup / broth, not the usual sodium laden stuff dished out by many restaurants.The Oriental salad and dumplings were good, the oolong orange was brewed / steeped perfectly and served in a high quality tea pot.Only con is that the salad dressing was super spicy but that was made known to us.Great service overall and decent ambience and decor of black wrought iron and tropical plants / creepers outside.No booze so it brings a select segment of people on a Sunday afternoon, which can also be a plus - therefore kid friendly.

The best place for Pan Asian food in Bangalore! The Cambodian Curry is to die for. I come to this place every time I visit Bangalore from Dubai. Aside from the Cambodian Curry, I recommend the soya honey chilly chicken and the fried noodles with black bean sauce. A MUST TRY.

We tried the rainbow platter of sushi and I dont know whether it was the place or the dish itself but I did not like it. This could be because it was the first time I tried it. The presentation isnt amazing but its nice. The prices of sushi compared to other places is decent. But maybe if youre looking for great sushi, Ive heard shiro is the place to go

Located on a street that is full of diverse yet excellent restaurants, Big Wong stands out in both food quality and service! Would highly recommend sushi and you can try going beyond the usual by ordering Honey Chilli Lotus Stems. Quite spacious and you do not have the cramped experience of sharing conversations with the neighboring tables. Valet parking available. Cant wait to be back and go through rest of their menu.

The place has got a good ambience. The service was also good. It is more populated during evenings. I had chilli garlic noodles and that was good. I dint like the soup too much though. If you are not a big fan of any ingredient, do remember to let them know in advance.

This is a really great place for good Chinese food and sushi. Their Sushi is as good as it gets Im Bangalore and their Chinese dishes have well balanced sauces.

Most unhygienic of places, applies across food and ambience. We went for the sushi, and came back disappointed. Cockroaches on walls, odour in some parts of the restaurant, stain marks in the teapot nozzle, and some not so fresh, neither so tasty sushi (we ordered ebi prawn tempura and salmon roll) added up for a complete disappointment of an experience at Big Wong XL.We had assumed this to be mainly a sushi place, but as it turned out, we were the only guests that ordered the sushi. Additionally, there was a ridiculously long waiting time between ordering the food and having them served on the table.Tough to find positives from an experience like this one, but possibly the friendly and helpful staff were the only good thing about this visit.Not a place we shall revisit, or recommend others to visit, surely.

We ordered food at 8:30 and it arrived at 9:15 the main course was very late and finally at the end starters was given. Charge is too high compared to other restaurants and quantity was less and service charge was too high we can go and have food at that rate. Wanted to try something before sushi, so I ordered a prawn pad thai The taste was simply amazing and the quantity given was good. I wish the charges werent’ sohigh. Crab momo in yellow curry, Rainbow sushi, Malyasian fish curry, these are a few of my favourite things. I absolutely love this place. The cocum drink was so refreshing and other drinks were great thirst quenchers as well.I wish they had pork and beef dishes as well. Zomato gold kept my wallet from burning. Thank God for that. I definitely recommend this joint. Its sad to see the place barely filled, people dont know what they have till its gone.
