This is my favorite temple in Bangalore. Most peaceful and spiritual place. Located at the heart of Bangalore with 4 temple opposite to it. The Nandi Shiva and the pond view gives you a positive vibe and such soothing experience. And those tiny turtles and fishes are so beautiful to see. Best place for family and friends. Especially kids would love this place.

Dakshinabhamukha Nandi Theertha Temple, BangaloreAlthough the history of the temple is unclear, the temple was discovered in 1997. According to experts, the temple dates back 400 years. In 1997, the site was purchased by someone. Then the Nandi Tirtha Temple was completely covered in sludge and only the top of Nandis head was visible.then the Assistant Commissioner of Police, DK Shivaram and Congress leader Hariprasa, knowing the glory of the place, told the evacuees to remove the mud. But one surprise is that after cleaning the Shivalinga, water began to flow from Nandis mouth. Here, devotees ate the tirtha which falls from the mouth of Nandi.A beautiful ancient temple to behold. Neatly handled. The turtle and the fish in the Kalyani in front of God is very special. This is only the case in some parts of Dakshinamukhi Nandi India.I have visited it a few times. It is located on Temple Road, Malleswaram, opposite the Gangamma and the wild(kadu) Malleswara Srilakshminarasimha Swamy Temple. It is an amazing temple Visit if possible

Amazing place and a must visit. Temple is wellMaintained and pond is more or less clean. Not sure why we throw coins in the pond but it pollutes the water. It was nice to see fishes and many tortoises 🐢. Temple opens early morning hence early morning was very pleasant. There are enough place for parking on a regular day. There are three more temple hence you can spend 2 to 3 hrs of time.

One of the best spiritual and religious places in Bangalore with four temples in the same area to get lost into the ancient architecture and explore. This temple is near Malleshwaram and is one of the oldest sites in Bengaluru. The best part is the area with many Naga statues and the Nandi Teertha where water pours from Nandi jis mouth on the Kumbham (Kalash) and then to Shiva Lingam! Opposite to Nandi Teertha we have Gangamma Devi and LakshmiNaraimhaSwamy temple.

It was such a divine place and felt lot of positivity. It is so mesmerizing that you cant take your eye out of the linga and the water from nandi mouth directly falls on linga. Its been told they have no idea what is the source of water. Beside the temple is right opposite to gangamma temple. Make some time to visit the temple along with your family.

Amazing temple with a very interesting story of how this temple was recently discovered, when they were digging and found this temple.Very interesting to see how water continuously flows from the statue of Nandi bull. No one knows the source of the water and it probably has been flowing for over 400 years. There is a small pond and you can find turtles and fishes.Definitely recommend visiting this place.

One of the great places of spirituality. The main deity is Lord Shiva and Nandi, where the fresh water is flowing from nandis mouth directly to the head of Shiva. The whole water is flowing to a pond which is inside the temple of turtles and fishes.Whole family will be amazed with the inside temple beauty and kids will be awestruck with the turtles and fishes playing in the temple pond. Each and everything will be organized neatly by the management. You can check my uploaded photos and Videos for the beauty of God and his creation.

A most serene and calming experience. Ideal for meditative purposes. Over enthusiastic children sometimes run riot, but most people who come understand the need for either silence or whispered tones out of sheer respect that the place commands. The moment we come off the rooad about four feet down the steps into the garden area, the noise of the street already gets cut off to a large extent, and when you get into the temple itself, it is another world. The priests are thoughtful and kind, which is the cherry on top.The accidental discovery of a serene, simple, yet gob smacking temple in a city that is full of noise and grandeur was a complete blessing to the community. An oasis amongst the hustle & bustle of the city. A must visit to connect with the inner self.

This is must visit place for all those visiting Bangalore as well as the localities. Situated in the heart of Malleswaram in Bangalore. The history of the temple itself marks the importance of the place. The main deity Shiva is continuously performed Abhisheka from the water spring coming from the Nandi. The pond (Kalyani) is also quite attractive with lot of turtles and big fish. Kids and children will love to spend some time here in this serene area. You will totally forget yourself from the external world once you enter this place. Do spend some time meditating here or observing the pond which relaxes your senses. A good Shivalinga temple, a bit interior from road and at a much lower level where underground water flows continuously and falls on the Linga. This is a mystery and it’s special. There is a pond in front of the deity where the water that flows out from the Linga gets collected. This pond has fishes and tortoises including white ones, which is a rear sight.I understand that this water has medicinal value which is good for curing skin ailments and it can be done by wetting the affected area using this water. There is a park too where one can sit and relax with friends or family. Worth visiting this temple.

This temple has a fascinating history. It disappeared from public memory in the 1920s and was rediscovered in the 1990s when excavations had commenced for a real estate development. Thankfully, the development was stopped and the temple has been restored to its original condition, including a small pond where one can now see fishes and turtles. An unique aspect of this temple is the steady stream of water that flows from the mouth of a Nandi statue on to the idol of Lord Shiva immediately below.
