5/5 for a quick jungle experience inside the city. Spread in 865 acres on both sides of the road, It is opposite to Bamboo forest & is a reserve area. Theres a hill top in the centre which we still have to explore. You need to have permission to get inside it.Though small, its a natural jungle with few Bamboo plantations. Serene, beautiful & full of birds. There are cycle paths but you need to be careful of snakes. If you are lucky, you may get peacocks as well.
This place is exatactly opposite of Hennur bamboo forest, its around 800 acres of reserved forest land one can have experience of actual forest and very near to cityWe saw many cyclist trespass these areas, we need to take special permission to go inside the forestThough we didnt went deep inside we saw variety of bids and if you are lucky you can see peacocks alsoBut be aware of snake 🐍Better come in the early morning some cycling guys you can see otherwise you will rarely see anyone walking inside
This is really a great place for cycling , whether you are alone or in group. Better visited during the early morning hours. Peaceful & serene place rarely visited by motorists or , by car drivers. The forest department there has maintained it well. There is no need to be scared of riding alone. There is also a huge lake nearby too, that is worth seeing if you are around here anyday .
Developed and maintained by Karnataka Forest Department (KFD). An area of 855 acaers with different trees almost 15-20 ft high. There is small hill with a watch tower from where you can have a glimpse of the forest and city buildings. There are rough paths. Bangalore Ultra marathon in every year November conducted here.
Nice place to get out of the chaos of the city...Now (i.e during Pandemic time) very few people visit this place (even during weekends) and bushes have grown up which is nice for snakes to hide...But worth the risk !✌🏻
Good for morning ridesBest for cycling .Currently its closed but allowed with permission
This man made forest and maintain by Karnataka forest dept. Here trail trekked can have good time in morning session and make day out picnic(prior permission required).. here you can enjoy dense forest environment.. not suitable with family especially with small kids..
Really nice place. But better to go as a group. Might be a bit dangerous to go there solo. Better suited for cycling. The road inside the forest is muddy. So, avoid going there if it has rained heavily. Also, no other places to visit nearby. So, plan to come here if youre nearby. Dont have very high expectations and come here. Might get disappointed. Early morning or evening is the best time to visit. Can spend around 0.5 to 1.5 hours here.
Its good with beautiful nature.better for cycling
Cool place.. once you get inside the forest you will be lost n wont get any idea where u are going..Best in the evening time, u can see so many birds..
Yes, its bit dangerous to go alone and there is sign board which says you should not go inside without permission... But there is lot of greenary and roads are awesome and its truely best place for cycling
Nice place to spend for group of people. Probably not safe for solo. Forest area. Not really a picnic place.
Awesome , it was a good experience of riding bike in forest
Nice forest maintained by KFD. Theres a watch tower that gives you the view of the forest. If you are a trail rider, youll love the place as it has some nice and smooth trails, as well was some really gnarly short descents
This place got me by surprise. The view is stunning from the platform.
