I hate writing negative reviews, so let it be said beforehand that one man runs this entire restaurant (at least the night I went). As a result, the prices are very cheap but he has to cut a lot of corners and this impacts the quality. What was good? The naan bread was actually very nice, and the lime pickle was one of the most flavourful Ive ever tasted. What was bad? The sag aloo had barely any potato, making it just a big box of spinach. The prawn puree and phaal were obviously made from the same base (cutting corners!) as they were both very oily and very thin (kind of soupy texture). The prawn puree came with no puree bread and lacked flavour. The phaal wasnt really spicy at all, probably because it was made from the same base as a prawn puree (go figure) with some red food colouring and chilli powder.I hate to see food wasted, and thus it is a very rare I dont finish a meal but I just couldnt stomach this. Please, just hire some more staff and bring some passion back to your kitchen!

The naan- out of this world! The curries- delicious, although the vegetables couldve been better cooked.

Probably the best, most authentic long established, excellent quality and great value Indian takeaway in Bath. One of the few that serve Bombay Duck too (my favourite but can vary widely in quality) the mutton dishes are the most tender ever.(Long hours too - open 7 days until usually around midnight). Highly recommended, best in Bath by miles!

Reasonably priced and authentic, old school storefront but it is clean. Our takeaway was delicious, just enough heat to light you up but full of those natural flavors present in all the best of Bangladeshi cuisine. Read some bad reviews, its NOT what we experienced, decide for yourself. Having been to Bangladesh and India, as well as eaten in NYC and London, my wife and I really liked it and are planning regular takeaways on my late meeting nights in the city. Thank you Moghul!

By far the best curry in bath. Been going for the last 15 years and not a bad meal yet. Lovely man, traditional family business, clean hygiene! Plus you can play space invaders while you wait and he stays open late. Thank you.

Best Indian in Bath AND reasonably priced! Dont be put off by the lack of fancy frontage/website/online menu... you will be pleasantly surprised. Much more authentic than your typical high street Indian, delicious and also really quick!

I would like to rate the mogul no stars because the food was inedible. We live less than a minute away however the food was freezing. The potatoes were old, all sauces tasted the same and the meat was frightening. A complete waste of money. If I am not ill it will be because I had the good sense to stop eating when it tasted like it was 4 days old.

I dont know who is writing these good references for this filthy takeaway, must be the relatives of its workers. Takeaway I received was the most disappointing dish ever. Bought three different curries, they differed only by the name from the menu. The flavor was burnt oil, not a hint of spices, a bt chilli powder and thats it - it all landed in the bin and we had to order from a proper restaurant. Lesson Ive learned is that if you buy cheap you will pay twice. Moghul will remind me of 20 pounds thrown into the bin.
