Ordered cheese burger and fries, both were less than average, and fries was missing seasoning. Staff were nice and it didn’t wait long for the order.

Impressive burgers and tasty fries. Milkshakes and hot chocolates were also very good.Service was a little slow, although completely understandable given how busy it was. Friendly staff and a comfortable, well presented environment made the whole meal even more enjoyable, albeit a little pricey.

I ordered to the wrong address on deliveroo, but I noticed immediately so I called up the restauraunt and told them which address to deliver it to, and everything seemed fine. Then I waited for a while but didnt hear from the driver, so I checked the tracking and it said it had been delivered, although I had never received my order. It would be great if I could at least get a refund.

We order from smashburger last night as normally they are pretty reliable for food quality what I got on this occasion was pretty much a joke. I set up the order on deliveroo after sending the order I realized that I had sent the order to the wrong address I tried to ring the delivery driver when he departed but he didnt answer. A few he phoned me on arrival to say he had my order I told him it had gone to the wrong address but we were already on route lucky the it was my home address and it was only a couple of minutes from my friends house, so me and my wife went and got the food, up to this point having the food delivered to the wrong address is on me, so a few moments later we returned to our friends house only to see a large portion of our order is missing I phone the driver he tell me he is now dropping off the food at my home address so me and my wife set off again to our home address to pick up the rest of our missing order even after telling the deliveroo driver its the wrong address. So we get the rest of our food and open it up to eat everything is dead cold my wife had and I had ordered bbq chicken burgers along with a couple of my our friends to say the least it looked like someone had just touched the food with the sauce, images will follow along with that we order pickle fries and some smash fries these were dead cold and again it seemed like the fries had just had its metaphorical toe dipped into any seasoning. Overall the standard of food was really not up to scratch on this occasion as I have said I have order from smash burger before it never usually that hot when it gets here but it pretty normally good food and when you are dropping over £100 on food you kind of expect some kind of quality.

Staff was very ‘awkward’. I was asking very common questions like “how long is the wait” and they were being funny about it. Told me there is a 30 minute wait so I would have thought this was for a table but it was just how long the food would have taken. I ordered food and it arrived in around 15 minutes anyway. Ordered a free style drink expecting to have a huge choice but got to the machine to find the only drink in stock was Powerade… won’t be returning. Staff very defensive towards other customers and generally seemed like they didn’t care less.

Ordered on a whim, overall was really bad. Burgers were fine but very sub-par for the price, tasted like any other takeaway but for double the amount, pretty tasteless and bland. Ive had way better burgers for less than half of what these cost.Ordered haystack onions as a side which promised to be incredibly brittle and crunchy. Honestly an absolute joke, see pictures of what we ordered versus what we recieved. Soaking in grease, most didnt even have batter on them, complete mush.Chips were good except for £3.25 youd expect a much larger portion.Seriously over-priced, sub-par food. Your local takeaway probably makes the same quality of food for half the price. Stay well away!

The food was okay... But the delay was huge, we waited for 40 minutes each, and one of us had to go up to the cashier to ask if the food was coming. Then we ordered churros, had to wait 50 minutes before we asked where they were, to which they had no idea and suggested there would be another 40 minute wait. 20 minutes later we returned to ask where they were, to which they said theyd been delivered, but instead two orders had been merged into one, and someone else in the store had gotten theirs. When they finnaly arrived, they tasted burnt, and overcooked, and didnt have any sugar on.

I ordered a veggie burger, and both mine and my partners were delicious!The problem was the service.. My partners order a lemonade, this girl serving brought it without a glass (but maybe this is normal here, serving bottle without glass! cant understand tho).My drink I kept waiting for it all the time, my partners already finished is food and I was still waiting for my drink to start to eat my own burger.I had to stand up and look for the girl, when my surprise, I found all staff talking and relaxing, I asked for my drink to the girl and she replied with no worries and saying it was coming. She passed through me to the milkshake area, I went back to my table shocked, then she came with the milkshake and an extra glass with the rests of the milkshake ??, and not even a sorry... Before we left I decided to call the manager to tell about the situation, this woman asked if I wanted the money back and said sorry, but it was okay. Before I left I looked back and I see this woman (the manager itself) with the girl that was serving and other girl from kitchen I guess, all them smiling... Cant understand where is the assertiveness and education of people nowadays specially from young people working...Its sad that theres no taking serious about serving people, serving good and having a respectful behaviour amongst each others.I worked many years in restoration, I came from Portugal, and I never saw such behaviours like I see here in London.Overall, I will not go back to this restaurant.Serving people good is everything.The environment was uncomfortable most probably because of the experience with the service, and the music was too loud...My 2stars go only because of the taste of the burgers, it was really delicious! I went on 17th August, 2021.

AVOID THIS PLACE. RUBBISH SERVICE AND THICK STAFF1) staff got the whole order wrong and blamed me for it. Even after I showed them the order on my phone where the order refused to place so I had to show them the order at the counter. Once the wrong order arrived I kindly requested them to review it and confirm and they told me its what I ordered.2) I asked for the garlic and rosemary fries and they gave me the sweet potatoes fries. Once I requested the order to be corrected they said they will need to ask the manager and took it away. Just to be served the sweet potatoes fries again! At this point Im just hungryy and requested them to change it for the correct fries. Out of the whole order and 3 attempts they failed. I can speak very understandable English but I was not understood.3) Rip off process a burger. Almost £11 for a burger with no fries or a drink. The McDonalds opposite seemed like a better bet.

The place was over run with deliveries so the service was s bit on slow side! There was only 4 of us sat down but they were having to turn people away!! My biggest concern is that me and my husband both had upset tummies the next day whilst our kids, who had ate differently to us have been absolutely fine 🤷🏼‍♀️

Arrived and placed my order however 35 minutes later the food still hasn’t arrived.I spoke with the manager who told my that they were busy with too fewer staff and that they still hadn’t started my order.Obviously takeout orders for ‘Just Eat’ we’re more important customers then those who walk into the restaurant.I cancelled my order and was very disappointed.Restaurant in Bath.

Very clean and tidy, sanitiser is also available on entry.Wide variety to choose from on the menu - they also have vegan options. Your can also get an alcoholic beverage with your meal. The staff are also really friendly!

My friend made the order though uber eats. Driver turned up with only half the order of one fries and 2 fried gerkins. No burgers. Told us this is all they had given him. Phoned restaurent and said oh its driver error nothing we can do. Worst customer service possible.

Took a quick bite when we had our Bath day tour. Wasnt crowded on lunchtime so our foods were served fast. I like that they have a vending machine for the water, which you can control the ice flow. They have 2nd floor, with both floors having a restroom.

You have to order via the website but there is no signal inside so I went outside to order for my table and then the website doesnt work, tried for 15 mins, told staff and they wouldnt take my order in personUPDATE: The manager responded which is a good sign but the crux of the issue is that his staff when informed of the ordering problem didnt offer to order the food themselves on thier system which would have solved everything, also alot of manager responses on here very quickly even on a Friday night at 10pm which makes me think its a PR respond team

My chicken was dangerously pink and avocado in my burger was really hard - I was expecting a smooth one, not something to crunch on. Bacon was cold and no cutlery offered or nowhere to be seen. For the price we paid, I was expecting a much better quality.Customer service was good, the place is clean, but I cant justify more than two stars.

It was clean and tidy with hand sanitizer on arrival. Signage asked for customers to register themselves on track and trace by using their own phone. We sat upstairs. Great burgers, very tasty. Lettuce chunk not great but easy to remove. Fantastic milkshake. Prices good but only due to current government scheme. Surprised to hear from staff they have not passed on the VAT saving to the customers though.

Had the Triple Hot and the Classic. Both were excellent. Loved their thin onion rings too. Salad in the burgers was very fresh, service was good, meat tasted excellent. On par with GBK in my book.

Tasty food, really good milkshakes just a tad on the pricey side. Its the second time eating here, both times we spent around £35 for 2 people, not including a sweet.

Quite a expensive burger place... almost £8 for a burger and plus 5 for meal(fries and drinks).. I ordered a burger meal and some churros. Food was good but way too expensive compared to other burger places. They forgot my drinks. I thought it must be coming in awhile but it took forever, so realised they had forgotten it.. I asked another staff about the drink and she was so prompt. She seem to be quite attentive and active as well. Got a glass after awhile which we were supposed to refill and it was unlimited which is cool.They have a placed a note saying WAIT HERE TO BE SEATED @ the entrance, but the team seem to be more busy chatting then attending the customers.. we had to get in and while checking the menu ourself,!they offered the seats.#letsguide

Its pretty brave to open a burger restaurant directly opposite a popular and well established McDonalds - and even braver to charge double the price for the food.If youre going to do that you need to offer an amazing customer experience and great food...Smashburger does neither off these things.We were after a quick lunch and the kids pestered me to try Smashburger.. I looked at the prices and initially walked away.... But seeing how busy the McDonalds opposite was, I decided to give it a go.I wish I hadnt.The staff really seem like they couldnt be bothered - not rude - but just totally uninterested and half asleep.The food prices are excessive - an adult meal is almost double what youd pay at McDonalds and they only offer meal deals on certain burgers.The food quality is only as good as a standard McDonalds burger - there was nothing special about it at all. I ordered a latte and was brought a black coffee with a plastic cup of milk.If this had been a cheap meal I wouldnt have cared - but this is literally restaurant prices... And while there is a kind of table service it doesnt make up for it. (You order at counter and they bring food to you)If yourre after quick/cheap food - turn around and go to McDs - or if you want a good burger for a FAIR price head over past the bus station and go to the Gourmet Burger Kitchen.Tip: if you do go here with kids - the kids meal is a much cheaper option (approx £10 cheaper) and is pretty close in size to the adult burgers - just without the garnish and slightly fewer fries.

Never been here before but had great diary free and gluten free options as you can build your burger. The burger itself was delicious and the environment was really chilled with an America style. The waiter was really sweet and helpful.

Good burger and quick service!

Only opened on Thursday so thought Id give this place an early try. Staff were attentive and had good knowledge of the menu. Plenty of burgers to chose from. I had the franks hot sauce and blue cheese chicken burger. It was a decent burger. When you add the cost of fries and a drink it turns out fairly expensive. Its very similar to Five Guys which I think are slightly better than Smashburger simply for the the extras you get with the burgers and the fries at Five Guys are 10 times better than Smashburger. Luckily for Smashburger there isnt a Five Guys in Bath otherwise i dont think it would last long. Dont get me wrong the burger was good but its not the place Im going to visit all that often if at all again purely down to cost. When in Bath Ill take a Schwartz burger over any other brand all day long.

Amazing food, I had an avocado chicken burger, absolutely delicious, moist, juicy, tasty, with fries. At the moment no seating inside. Due to the covid but a few tables outside. Self service with hand gel on arrival. The service was good and you didnt have to wait to long for your order. It smells of a cooked BBQ yum! 😃👍

Just wanted something light for a late lunch while working,so ordered the bacon sandwich. What turned up was the worst attempt Ive ever seen 😂 bacon was all over the place. Tiny little rashers. Sauce everywhere but in the sandwich . The whole thing took 4 Bites to eat. Bloody tiny

Great selection of tasty burgers. A bit expensive as the more fancy ones are 10.99£. I recommend adding extra patty for additional 3.75 its better value for money then especially when you pay 3.99 for delivery (deliveroo, it depends how far you are) but it is up to you to decide if you want to pay that much for a burger. It is definitely something different to the burgers from the chains. Those are freshly made with a lot of ingredients like fresh avocado, mushrooms, depends on your choice but those are included in the price. It is enough for me to have it on its own as its quiet big with all the toppings especially if double patty so I have it as a dinner when too lazy to cook :D. Shame they do not do any desserts apart from milkshakes.

Absolute BEST VEGAN BURGER Ive ever had (double, tripple vegan). I was honestly so worried that I had eaten meat initially. The vegan patti is so succulent and juicy. We have not ordered any other burger from anywhere else since finding this. Highly recommend for vegans and non vegans. Cruelty free deliciousness.

Hands down one of the best burger bars in Bath and of chain restaurants, the food is always incredible and is very good value for money, the burgers themselves are incredible I would recommend the blue cheese burger - I get it every time. The fried pickles are the best I’ve ever had and they are an extra I have every time 👌🏽 You need to sign up in their website and go on Wednesdays when it’s two meals for £15 which is really good value.The alcohol is rather expensive but refill drinks are only £3 and you get loads of choice.

I wasnt too impressed especially for what I paid. Waited a very long time after ordering and when the food arrived, it wasnt hot and it was the wrong order. I understand that sometimes the order is heard wrong or something so I wasnt too worried about that. They happily replaced it but when the new order came out the fries were cold again but the burger was good. It may have been a one time thing but I havent been back since. Its too expensive to not be happy with the food. Other than that, the restaurant is well kept and clean. Lots of room as they have an upper level.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and ordered a local smash burger with grilled chicken and the smash fries. Could tell it was quality ingredients, including the chicken and bacon. The chutney was quite strong and Im not sure complimented. The balance of ingredients needs to be relooked, maybe less chutney and more cheese? The burger looked fantastic but didnt have the nice height and big grab i like, more like a short stack/slider. As I bite into it, it squashes more and the chutney all falls out - quite the messy eat. The fries combo with olive oil and parsley is delicious though! They also serve shakes that look good but skipped due to price. Bottled beer and wine available! Looks like they got a decent lunch deal going too. I would like to try other combos which sounded delicious, as you can make your own combo too! Overall - good quality burgers, strange and interesting combos, beer/wine/shakes, fast service, need more lunch deals, would come again.

Nice place for a quick lunch. Tables outside available and also upstairs normally plenty space. Good selection of burgers and fairly quick service. Kids menu available. They also have drink mixing machine from Cocacola, so you can experiment with different flavours. Service need a bit of attention as there is very little engagement with customers, but anyway solid 4 stars as they have very consistent food quality.

Always suprised that this burger bar is still here. Extortionate prices. The other evening about 8.30pm the restaurant had 1 person in it. I was looking for something to eat. Entered entrance to the shop. The surly staff just look at you. No salutation but clearly jobs worths who cant be arsed to break up their conversation and welcome me in. Far too lazy for that. So, I wandered a short distance to Five Guys. Amazing burgers, friendly staff and very much the same pricing structure. In desperate times like this you should be lucky to have a job, and similarly you should go above and beyond those expectations.. SERVE and dont let your colleagues and management down. You lost my business I had great pleasure in telling plenty people about this experience and letting people read this review. Be ashamed.

Flavoursome burgers with an authentic atmosphere. Great for a quick lunch. However the burgers were quite messily composed as well as a lack of condiments for sides, did let this place down... But overall a very high quality burger place.

My 3 year old son was served raw chicken here. Cannot believe it, I could almost understand if it came undercooked on an adults menu, but on a child’s menu that is unacceptable.Please check your food is actually cooked through before you eat it.

Great food and service.We came in quite late, around 10 pm ish. It would have been quite easy for the staff to say sorry sir, were not serving , but they kindly still served me and my wife. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! So Im quite critical of take aways since we do eat out a lot. Went here with the wife and kids and sat outside due to the wonderful weather. I ordered the triple double beef burger, wife had the classic chicken smash and the kids had crispy chicken breast with fries from the kids menu.The fries tasted absolutely incredible. They also looked very clean. It was clear by sight and taste they were fried fresh in clean oil and properly strained.Onto to the burgers... My wife rated her chicken burger a 10 out of 10 and I can only say the same for mine. I could taste everything... The beef, the lettuce, the mayo, the jalapeños, the cheese.... Easily one of the best burgers Ive ever had. The kids food looked equally good. The crispy chicken breast was of exceptional quality compared to other restaurants.I will definitely be back here again! Probably sooner than later... 😂Edit: 30/08/2019 - Went here again. Our favourite burger place in Bath after getting a bit tired of gbk. Has the feel of an American diner more than an upmarket burger restaurant which we like. Only downside today was they seem to have changed their regular fries from thin crispy ones to something more like oven chips but hopefully just a supply issue. The sweet potato fries are awesome though!

Tasty burger and fries. Cheese is only listed as American or Swiss but does not actually say what kind of cheese it is so you do not know if it is made from powder milk or else. Staff do not know either but the real cheddar option is great. Place is clean and staff very friendly

Similar style to five guys, but rubbish. The girl who greeted us couldnt have been any more unwelcoming. Beef burger was overcooked and dry. The only saving grace was the freestyle drinks machine. I would recommend the McDonalds opposite.

I dont understand the bad ratings. We stopped for a quick bite after a long trip from another country and the girl who attended us was really attentive and helpful. They were fast to prepare the order and everything tasted great. A little bit expensive, maybe, but nothing to do with the prefab burgers from the other side of the street.
