Love the way Dr Comer engaged with Miss 11 and empowered her to take charge of managing her own health (with support of course). Thank you for speaking to her like a young adult and asking her about what was going on instead of deferring to me as the parent. And thanks making time to talk through concerns 😊

Dr Owen Miller needs to work on his interactive skills. Whats the point of studying for years to get a medical degree, if you dont know how to talk to your patients without making them feel uncomfortable. Zero social skills. Comes across as really unpleasant which is a shame because the reception and nurses were wonderful. Owen Miiller just ruined the whole experience for me.

Hello,I had c- section one month ago. I was not fine as I was facing pain and haemorrhoids. I went to the Johnsonville medical centre on 27/07/2021. And met with Dr. Alana and it was really amazing experience with her. She treated me so well. Yesterday, I and my baby travis was having appointment, as I was not feeling well. I got appointment at 2:30 pm and my baby got check up appointment at 3:30 pm. My baby was unsettled, when we were about to leave at 2:30, I called there and lady name hannah or anna, she pucker i asked can i come 10-15 minutes late, she said no , but your baby and you can see the doctor on same time at 3:30 and I said okay. But, when I went there, we were waiting for the doctor and Doctor ting came. I told me and my baby having appointment with you. She said your name is not on my system, i was upset but, I said just check my baby. She was just continuously telling this thing, I am having15 min only and I need to check other patients. She checked baby very quickly. I am not happy and satisfied at all, because receptionist didn’t book me at all and Doctor was doing very irresponsible behaviour. I had c- section and really hard for me to come again and again, because I am facing the piles as well. but, Doctor was not listening to me properly. She was in hurry. She gave medication, she didn’t tell me how to use and I am still facing the pain and trouble with piles. It was very bad experience there. I am really hurt.

Worst service. My wife went there for a simple blood test and the nurse- Sam Ziaja could not able to take blood in 3 instances and ask for senior and in the mean time my wife got fainted. He clearly did not know how to take a simple blood sample. They even didnt ask for water when she came in senses until my wife ask for it. She had concussion as her head hit the floor and now its more than 4 months and she is still suffering in the pain and both of our lives have been affected due to this. The hospital has been very unsupportive in treating her. They didnt provided any after care to her after the fall. Instead the nurse left the room saying that you can leave the room whenever you want. I will never recommend this medical centre to anyone. They have no humanity and very untrained staff!!!

As a new patient with an extremely acute condition I found the staff very helpful with my registration being a seamless process and my new GP is exceptional, very caring and efficient and lovely to deal with. She also knows her stuff medically given my needs. She is efficient, responsive and prompt. My previous GP was exceptional and top notch and has retired so big shoes to fill here. So far my experience has been excellent. I have read through some of the other reviews and the way GPs and the health system works has changed dramatically for more reasons than one and I believe the support staff try their best and have very difficult jobs so a little understanding can go a long way. They too are with the doctors must adapt to these changes so a little patience will benefit all.

You need some new admin staff, called through today to get some advice and book an appointment and they were incredibly rude and unprofessional over the phone. Unable to answer basic questions and seemingly blind to the available appointment times in front of them and need to be asked several times to get one simple answer. Once we finally got the appointment booked the email confirmation had the wrong name on it! Seriously appalling, I cant understand why anyone would go here.

Called 5 times to enroll my family of 3 since we are moving to Johnsonville this month but was hung up on 5 times, rude customer service from the receptionist who seemed like an old lady. I spoke to her with respect and I was polite but I was hung up on repetitively by the receptionist who seems like she hated enrolling new patients and wanted to get rid of the phone call. Enrolled at a much better medical centre. They should know that their first point of contact when it comes to customers/patients are the receptionists. If they fail to deliver good customer service theyre just bound to lose people going to their centre.

My partner was emailed another patient’s confidential personal information. On a surface, this is ok, people make mistakes. Usually there is a practice to inform the other patient that their information had been sent to someone by mistake, right? Not here, instead, the initial email back blamed the senior woman of somehow mistakingly entering the wrong information. Zero personal responsibility for an important mistake made. You do not get choose what is important when it comes to privacy in New Zealand. On top of what has been a sub par experience thus far for my family. We will be moving to another practice and do not recommend you enrol here, unless everywhere else is booked. You are a customer, not a human.

Live in Johnsonville for a few years and I have been there for a few times for my family.I seem to recall a few unpleasant experiences in the early days, when dealing with their reception. But nowadays it has improved. Looks like the feedback from a few years ago by others have been taken into account. They are quite nice and helpful now.The nurse are good and professional. Doctors are generally helpful. Lots of car park, and there is a pharmacy next door which is quite handy.

In past experience there was a couple good doctors but recently I saw Elizabeth Johnson i believe and she pretty much did everything in her power to ignore what i was saying in order to brush me off with a cheap prescription for painkillers, despite me telling her they havent helped with my problem. I could tell she just wanted me out of the room as quickly as possible and its absurd to be charged so much when the doctor clearly doesnt care about helping you.

Ive been a patient of Johnsonville Medical Centre for years and am usually pretty happy with the service. Recently I rung and made an appointment for my son. When I arrived the appointment didnt seem to be made. I was then blamed for this even though the appointment was confirmed on the phone the previous day. I explained that it wasnt my fault but there was no apology made for the mistake. I had to wait for an hour with a very active 18 month old for a doctor to come and examine my son. Admittedly we saw the nurse first but still had to wait for another 50 minutes to be seen by the doctor.

Very poor reception desk communication of the old lady at the reception desk, she is really lacking sense of service and listening skill. I called back as they told me last week when cancelling my appointment. I requested if she could call me back once the medical centre has the vaccine available in stock, she refused in the cold manner by just saying there many people but she doesnt know how many people are there as I asked her. Very disappointing to have her to support people in our community.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~In reply to Rob:Hi Rob,Thanks for the quick response. Its not what I expected as well. The one-star is only for the experience I had today. The person you indicated is part of the teams of Johnsonville Medical Centre. Everyone in a team represents the team and every team member is just as important as others. Unfortunately, I cannot give multiple reviews on Google. In fact, I highly recommend the quality communication and services from Jenny (Patient Services Team).Im part of our community and I fully understood why the appointment got cancelled and its not the concern about the stock, which is not something we can control. Auckland needs more MMR vaccines, its a national effort. Its about showing a basic level of empathy. While Im fine to call next week and the week after to see if I can book an appointment again, it is not hurt to give people who got booked previously a call or a message that the stock is available again. Maybe its just me.I could go straight to delete this review as youve seen an improvement opportunity already. In terms of the rating, it doesnt make any sense to rate high if you were given a bad service, thoughts?Have a good day.Nan~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Hi Nan, thanks for your feedback. I appreciate that the information relating to the MMR vaccine is not clear as it is changing every day, however the latest information should have been conveyed to you in a clear and understanding way and so I appreciate your feedback so that this can be discussed. It is certainly not my expectation that this is how the situation is handled.I note that you have put down a 1 star review as a result, which is a public criticism of the entire team at the medical centre rather than just the person you were unhappy with. If you feel that this is appropriate for your overall experience at the medical centre then I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review, however if your overall experience is not as terrible as a 1 star review represents then I would be grateful if you could update it to better reflect this.Kind regards,Rob Stewart (Business Manager)

Im shocked to see all the negative reviews by immigrants on here, maybe their real issue is with the process not the medical centre. I changed to this medical centre almost 8 years ago and all the doctors and nurses have been amazing, high competent, efficient, supportive and proactive. The hours are great and they saved me many trips to A&E when my daughter had been unwell in the evenings. I cant rate the team (including the receptionists) highly enough.

I would avoid going here for your immigration medical and go somewhere where they are more understanding to time sensitive applications. It took 3 weeks for them to submit my husbands medical saying he needs more tests which we did but now we are three weeks behind and may still need more tests when immigration assesses my husbands medical. We asked for it to be submitted asap and they agreed and then waited. I havent gotten confirmation mine was sent in yet but no one is available that can open the system to check. They told us our work visa would continue and we would still be able to work but that wasnt true. Well be on visitor visas next week and will have to wait 8 weeks for our medical to even be opened.

Doctors and nurses are very nice, professional and efficient. But the terrible customer service from the lady at the reception is what upsets me the mostI have been here 4-5 times, and I got treated the same every single time - she is rude, unfriendly, not willing to help at all. The last time I came here to check on my account, she asked me to come back later because the person who manages the account wasnt available, I told her I have already been here last time and they also asked me to come back. Her response was no, you didntI have been trying to avoid coming to this medical centre because of this receptionist even it is the closest medical centre to my house. I also work in the customer service industry and I believe no one should be treated like this way, especially when you are unwell. I am writing this because I feel upset, angry and I dont feel respected. I have requested to change my GP only because of my terrible experience with this lady.

I have possibly seen 3 different doctors at this office and only one seemed to be attentive - although the others were friendly. Nurses were great, friendly and helpful.Reception staff are another story - 1 is condescending and rude constantly, its such a nightmare to book an appointment with that being the first point of contact for a company.Today, I had to call 6 or 7 times to have a question answered for me. The receptionist kept transferring me to the nurse who was firstly on a call, secondly she was free but didnt answer and every other time I waited on hold until inevitably, a minute went by and your phone line hung up on me and made me call back - spoke to the same receptionist each time who I had to be stern and ask her to walk over to a doctor or nurse to answer my question which took less than 10 seconds!!!! I spent around 20 minutes recalling and hold for her to take 10 seconds to get an answer?? Then when I asked why this service wasnt provided she could only say I dont know I asked someone who was passing -_- I feel like common sense has gone amiss in this company too!For every single encounter with this business being a let down, I will be changing my doctors office.

Thank you!COVID has been hard enough on all of us who understand what COVID is, I came in for a vaccine with a young man 14, with severe intellectual disability. The young man is also autistic, so has some sensory needs, which can make a visit to somewhere like a vaccine clinic 100x harder. From the get go we were taken care of. First of all Eve sorted our appointment, made it so that we could just walk straight through, (waiting is a problem for us) and made sure I was able to get my vaccine at the same time. Eve was so kind, warm and welcoming and bonded with the young man in question. (No small feat in COVID times). She escorted us right through Megan who administered our vaccine.Unfortunately things did not go according to plan (think toddler in a 14 year olds body) and after a couple of attempts, we had to move to a plan B. Megan was amazing, she was so kind to us, and completely understood how hard this situation was for us. She moved us to a private area and we worked together to get the jab done.I just want to say a massive thank you to Eve, Megan and the whole team, there has been a lot of chatter in the disability community regarding the ease and accessibility of getting the vaccine, it hasnt been as easy for so many people, especially those in our most vulnerable communities, and we really appreciate yours and the whole staffs work at Johnsonville medical, for not only providing us with our vaccine but for making it SO inclusive, and SO accessible, and for manning the front lines when it comes to COVID!These experiences going positively are so vital to our ongoing development, and I was really blown away by the effort everyone went to, to make it so that this was a positive experience.Thank you!
