Delicious Indian cuisine tonight. Indus deserves to be much busier. Tandoori platter was a particular fave but all the food was very tasty. Be cautious if you order your spice level Indian Hot!

This is our favourite Indian restaurant in Wellington. On site or pick-up, we love it. The vegetarian options are numerous and delicious. We love the gular kebab, the dal makhani and the malai kofta is just the best. I have been here for takeaways a number of times in the past but this was my first dine in. Food is great and reasonable prices. Heaps of veg options too.

Very disappointed as the other comments looked good. The curry was reheated and overpriced, on a positive the bread was fresh. I would advice that you give this place a miss. Not worth a try, plenty of better options in Wellington.

The sago vada was to die for and the food tasty. Very dissappointed that the spice chai was not authentic, just this small detail lost a star. Guys stop the modernisation, it does not take any longer to make a real chai.

For the price they charge, it is not worth it. The tables and menu cards smelled dirty. The food was not very tasty. The food was also not authentic. The ambience is not great. Really regretted going to Indus, will never ever to again.

To the owner of Indus restaurant - probably worst experience ever.I hardly write a review especially a bad one however the food experience and customer satisfaction at your restaurant was subpar - I am sorry but the food I had was not exotic to say the least.I drove from New Plymouth to Wellington on 1st June, checked into the hotel around 8 pm and looked for a restaurant - Indus restaurant came with high rating and was 200m from where I was staying for the night. So decided to have dinner at Indus restaurant.Reached there at 830pm - there was no customer(thought that we are bit late and could be post lock down effect) in the restaurant and as soon as we entered got musty smell, ignored it as it was a raining night and we were quite tired and hungry.Lady at the counter was pleasant - so good job there.Ordered one bhuna lamb and some chicken main couple of garlic naan and 2 rumali roti.It was reheated food and and I dont know how to explain here but the mains were below average.Naan were raw - I was so hungry that eat more than one and had meats from the mains and left gravy.Rumali roti was not a rumali roti and was like raw dough - left it like that could not eat it.I was on a 8 day road trip and by far the most disappointing food experience.I dont know whether they dint had a chef that night but I went to supermarket looking for food in rain after my visit to a restaurant as it was already around 9:20pm when we left.In all fairness the girl at the counter asked me how was the food - I said its OK (most people working in restaurant knows how the food was looking at the leftover food) and dint wanted to be rude to her as she was trying her best.I asked her, are you the owner as I wanted to give the feedback to the owner.I called next day before leaving to talk to the owner however I guess the restaurant was not open.I hope you take feedbacks seriously.Good luck!

The restaurant seemed damp and musty. Although the waitress was very pleasant the fact she was wearing a puffer jacket to keep warm said something. The food was okay but did seem to be warmed up rather than sizzling hot. Not bad but not great.

Visited Indus twice, while I was on a business trip to Wellington. I can only thank them for a superb hospitality extended during my visit by obliging my request and customised a dish to suit my taste. Being from an Indian ethnicity, I do check for the authenticity in the spice blends used in the Indian restaurants, but Indus has clearly ticked the box by offering a right proposition of spice in a delicious dish. Thanks a lot for your service ‘Chef and team’, you will see me again very soon. Best wishes to you guys👍

The flavors were so layered and the best Indian fare Ive ever had! We were thrilled with Tarka Daal, chana masala, lovely rice, and Samosas were flavorful, fragrant sauce and flakey pastry. I had the chicken ponsonby (tikka masala) and Garlic&cheese naan takeaway. The service was good and the meal had good flavour but both curry and naan were very oily and meat/bread were burnt. I noticed the amount I paid was relatively more expensive than what was on their in store menu. Building and menu seem very outdated.
