Beejamandal Temple is ruined temple located in middle Vidisha city. The Hindu Temple of Bijamandal was built in the 11th Century BC and is one of the most important आर्कियोलॉजिकल sites in Vidisha, The Mosque is constructed on the ruins of a Hindu Temple. One of the inscriptions found on the piller says that it was a temple of Goddess Charchika.
Bijamandal, which is popularly known as Vijayamandira Temple, is located in Vidisha, the headquarters of the Vidisha District. Constructed in the 11th century, this temple was destroyed in the year 1682.After its demolition, Aurangzeb, the Mughal emperor, constructed a mosque called Alamgiri Masjid, at the site. The material of the destroyed temple was used in the construction of this mosque.
It is not ruined temple.it is a destroyed temple by Mosulems. A Hindu temple is made of stones which is undefeated. It take the mujahids a lot of power to destroy. If ASI cannot reclaim and reconstruct it. Then ,I will make my own body to restore . If the hell based Indian constitution, cannot help in reclaiming the heritage of Indian vast culture. Then, We will reconstruct it the day we get money.
Good one
A glimpse of our glorious history and also a reminder as to how our beautiful temples were trampled the Mughal invaders. The ASI is trying to preserve the monument. There was just one watchman posted there and who also substituted perfectly as the guide to show us the place.

The construction of a temple in Vidisha is said to have happened in the first eighteenth century, which is now known as the zoning circle. During the year 1094 - 1133, the temple was reconstructed by King Naravarman. In 1682 Aurangzebs attacks caused huge damage to the temple. During the 1971-74 excavation, statues of Mahishasurmardini and Ganesh were found here. In 1991, due to heavy and heavy rainfall, a considerable portion of the mosque fell and once again excavations were found in the excavation. With heavy stones engaged in the temple pane, it seems that the temple would have been gigantic. According to the records written on one column, this temple was of Charmika Devi. The name of this goddess was probably Vijaya or Bija Devi, which called this temple as Bijya Mandir. In the earliest it was called euphoricism.Altogether, the names of the temple, the time of construction and the generation of the builders are much more than the idea and how accurate they are. Written records were not kept in the old time. There are some records written in Sanskrit in the temple in which there is no date. There is no parking space. There is no entry ticket. The guide also gets tougher. .
The carving done in it is very magnificent and there is a stepwell towards the north side nearby, this water tank remains throughout the year.Bawdi was built in the eighth century.
It is the first Idgah, it was eight hundred years old mosque now under Bija Mandal ASI
