Amazing initiative to feed children. The set up is clean and process based ,Kudos to the entire team of Akshaya Patra for this wonderful initiative

One of 6 Kitchens in Gujarat, which is providing Nutritious meals to more than 1 Lakh Government School children under the Midday meal Program. Runs on a Triple P Model (Public Private Partnership) in which a partial funding is done by the Government & the remaining amount per meal is raised through donations, the most astounding fact is that a meal cost is just $0.157(15 cents). The Foundations Annual Report for 2017-2018 has been conferred the Gold Shield Award consecutively for the 7Th time by ICAI and is the ONLY NGO in the HALL OF FAME, a remarkable achievement!👍

An NGO which provides good food to schools to the underprivileged children.Food is prepared in the most hygienic way. cleanliness is maintained in the premises as well as in the vehicles through which the food is carried info. Quality control is also maintained

I totally agree with Dr.Amit Shah.The work done by Akshaya Patra is really appreciable but at the same time it generates lot of pollution through the smoke emitted. Moreover since the site of Akshaya Patra is in residential area, people and moreover kids of nearby societies are badly affected by the black smoke emitted by the chimney.There is also a school nearby were kids may face health issues. I think the senior person from Akshaya Patra should visit my society (Sevashram Society) between 6:30 am to 8:30 am to understand the pollution it generates.Pollution control board should seriously look into this matter, as it is related to health issues and take some legal steps immediately.

Very True Dr Amit good work at the cost of Big Health risk of children, old people and all residents staying next to the facility.The Authorities to check Morning Air and sound pollution it like slow poison for the residents nearby as of the facility is in middle of residential area and schools. The smoke from the chimney starts from night polluting the air so badly it’s difficult to breathe and inviting disease. It’s really suprising why there is no action taken by pollution board or concern authorities for creating such dangerous situations for the residents nearby

Nice work done by them but the place is becoming just horrible for nearby residents. My in-laws share a common wall with the Akshay patra kitchen, the place becomes really noisy from right 3 am in morning, staff just throws vessels here and there, even after complaining many a times they wont listen, smoke coming from the kitchen makes the environment horrible, my father in law is a cancer patient, his neighbor is a heart patient, residents nearby are tired of this place, hope some thing can be done about this........

Dr Amit has really highlighted the problem, which all the nearby residential area are facing since a very long time & the situation is getting really worse. This kind of facilities near the residential area and schoolis inviting health problems Authorities should look into this matter and find a solution that all the nearby residents can live without inhalinng the smoke daily.

I am the resident of the same society, they Must be doing a great job and I really appreciate it but the key is no one cares about the extremely dangerous air and noise pollution created by this plant in the middle of the residential area , one must visit the society in the early morning hours and experience the amount of smoke with carbon dioxide and monoxide along with other most dangerous gases for health of the residential people inhale every day, it’s a slow death to hundreds of kids and senior citizens.. there is a school Anand Balewadi just 100 mts away and thousands of small delicate kidsstudying and playing there along with people who can’t come out of their home to breath fresh air every day .. can’t bring their children out to play and old age people can’t sit outside or walk. They can’t keep their cloths out Bec every thing gets black in the morning because of smoke particles.It is getting a big issue now and it’s building up amongst all the society and complexes surrounding this plant up to a kilometre of area ..noise and smelll is out of control.. the people those who are visiting Akshay Patra they must visit surrounding societies. One can not put others in to a death situation by helping someone.. it’s a big crime and the authority and management have to address this soon else they will be in to major legal issues and protest.

The akshaya patra foundation is providing mud day meal to schools according to data there are 40% of school students they are not getting malnutritions in there regular food to avoid this iskcon temple started this NGO.Kitchen are well maintained with taking care for hygiene and cleanliness food preparation has been through high technological machines.

The food preparation was hygienic despite being mechanized and being tested by engineers trained in food technology!

These people do amazing work. Feed 125000 kids from one kitchen every day. 20c per meal.
