This place is for those who are used to eating in hostel mess or for anyone who wants to catch train or has just reached the station and wants to have proper meal. Taste is decent but not extra ordinary.We ordered kaju masala and the staff opened a drawer at cash counter, took kaju from it and added it to a gravy and served us.. 🤣What I liked is hot rotis and the fact that it used to be open till mid night in pre covid era 😅Also, the staff is welcoming and nice.

One of the worst paneer pulav I eat in this resturant,RIP 120 Rs. , If you order Paneer pulav they will give you plain rice only , please dont order other food if you are new

Perhaps the only good option you would food right after getting off the train & coming out of the railway station. They have a variety of options in food & beverages. The quality & the taste of the food is at a very decent level. The service is super fast & the staff is very polite. I must also mention that thus is an affordable place for every class. They are one of the oldest food joints in the city.

I would request not to order from this restaurant or from rail resto as they are least bothered with customer service and satisfaction for the following reasons- Wrong food delivered- Hairs & Plastic piece found in one of the order- Requested for less spicy but extremely spicy

We order 50 plate Veg paneer pulav but he give only yellow boil rice , no mutter , no carrots, no beans only plain rice was there, request you to everyone please taste food before bulk order

Welcoming nice staff.Very close to station. We usually go baroda and early morning have nasta over here. opens soo early thats plus point.I love there aloo Partha its just osm just for 50rs and cheese for 80rs. Poha is ok over here. Tea is really good.Cheese Aloo paratha and normal has nice amt of butter.. They have good stuffed aloo in paratha size is also big of paratha.Food, taste 5/5 poha 2/5Ambience 4/5Staff 4/5Budget friendly place.

Previously it was very good food ..but after locked down the food is worst .. All the food was smelling like hell..and the most important thing whatever you order they vill only deliver you thali...I gave order of khichdi they gave me thali and say ohh sorry sir we are extremely sorry ...i didnt expect this from them

Dont know about all the meals but the thali (120/-) was awesome. Service was fast. They provide one tawa roti for 7/- which was bit constly (you will get this when you will see the roti) ;-). But overall, it is a good one.

Worst food i ever had. Bogus packing...Ordered Veg Biryani...it was like sezwan fried rice(full of red colour).Buttermilk was packed by self and made up of curd.Horrible experience.

I regularly place the food order from Hotel Samrat for my group when we are travelling through Vadodara railway station. We never faced the problem in test and he deliver the food on time.But this time, I faced a very strange issue. When I went to place the order at 730 pm, the person on the counter shouted on me What you want? When I told him that I want to place the dinner order for 11 people, he just arrogantly replied that All the food is finished. We are not going to take any orderJust then the manager intervene and took the order. The manager also apologized for the rude behavior of that person on the counter.As our past experience, food delivered on time with nice test. But as a customer, I am not at all happy for such a wrong behavior of the person on the counter.

Even 5 star is less for this restaurant.. we were traveling from ajmer to bandra we ordered food from ajmer only our train was delay by more thn 3 hours.. they provided best service with tasty food.. and one more thing 4 month baby was traveling with us so we lost his bag of Pampers . We request to them to bring Pampers as well.. they were so humble on call they help us alot.. Thanks to management.. I can recommend this restaurant to everyone ❤️

Situated just opposite to the baroda railway station. Spacious having lot of sitting arrangement. One of the option to full your stomach at late night but do not expect quality. An average taste price is reasonable. Tea is excellent. They also supply lunch box on train having stoppage at Vadodara. Advantage of being open at late night.

Usually the places near railway stations and bus stops are awful and this is not an exception. I ate idali sabhar which was the worst i ever are. The teas was bad too. The place is quite clean though and the owner amicable. Better to go to Madras Cafe or Mysore Cafe near the bus stand, on the other side of the road.

I am eating there since 2009 they provide good food . You can try it there .its open near about 12:00am thats the good thi gs for night lover .

Worst place to have food. They served stale food after keeping us wait for like 45 minutes. That too the waiter didnt listen to us peoperly and owner was also rude too. When we complained about stale food they blamed us for no reason and didnt consider our complaint. Never go to this of restaurant. They make vadodara experience worse. Located near the station they serve food in railways also. Never order from here if you are travelling to or from vadodara station.

I ordered meals during my journey between Ahmedabad to surat cost was appprox 200/-Worst food i ever had, every thing was cold..Salty Daal, quantity of vegetable sabji just 2 spoonPaneer sabji i think instead of tomotato color was used..Roti ka to kya kehna..Salad bhi fresh nai tha.Even packing was hopeless..

Very bad .i ordered jain thali on tarin but.i received open thali .and daal was smells so much... package was opened and one place is missing..no papad no pickel as well..will not order next time.

The hotel is outrageous, really! You cant expect quality, it is a hell for good food cravers. The place is also infamous with some shocking incidents of customers ending up with some bugs in their meal. In my experience, they use inferior material. Even simple Poha is a #disaster.

From the hotel samrat ..the delivery guy was not good ,the polithin was fully wet with oil outside and when I opened the food tray the rice was fully bad smelly .Like the 2 days order stuff.waste of money.Dont order from here if they just take money n dont give quality food.

Nothing special in tatse, had tried Idli-vada mix, idli was fresh & good while vada was very bland also didnt provide any chutney. Staff was courteous..

Pure veg- restaurant. Regular patron to restaurant since last two years.For quick eat: go for parathas or pohe, South Indian dishes, samosa and wada pav not my choice.Meals: Thali is good and stomach filling. For a la carte menu, they are slow preparing because they received orders from passengers travelling through train. I have seen diners leaving table because of long wait. I do see above resolution soon hence giving 5 stars.
