There are varieties of south Indian food which are quite tasty. Prices are also reasonable. There are dessert option and coffee is also available.

The Ambience of the restaurant is good and the waiters are very welcoming!! However the food is a big letdown, vadodara definitely has better places to go to for south Indian food!! The ghee podi thatte idli was decent, the podi tasted quite good and their chutneys were also nice!! The ghee podi dosa was a big let down, the dosa neither had ghee nor was made to perfection!! They definitely have to work on making their sambar better!! The coffee is a big NO!!! its not filter coffee as claimed on the menu and was below average!! Their price is on the higher side too!!

Everyone loves gorgin on idlis and Dosas whenever they get a chance to. And Im a fan of South Indian food. So hit me with Dosas, idlis or vadas anytime and I can down it in minutes.Last weekend we visited Dakshin Brahmins, a South Indian restaurant located at Tilak complex on Jrtalpur Road, #Vadodara.We had a very bad experience. Ranging from food to service, it wasnt good. Now I had read the reviews of a lot of people on FB and #instagram that the place doesnt serve good food and service too is bad. But I thought what the heck, personal experiences always differ and being a fan of authentic South Indian food, I might like it. But, I was completely wrong. I cursed myself for not believing in the reviews posted previously.There was only tomato rasam available. When we asked the steward why dont they serve other flavours, he said, yehi flavour hai, Baki Nahi hai to Nahi hai. I was like wow! Is this how you speak to your customers? Then we ordered tatte Idli, this size of Idli was big. Hence the price was more. The Idli was average, nothing extraordinary. The sambar was okay again, nothing special about the taste. They served coconut pudina chutney and coconut chutney, both lacked salt and the taste was again average.Since we were theew with friends, we had a chance to order variety of dosas. So we ordered below items. Rating them here:mix veg uttapam - rating 2/5 🌟 as the size was very smallMysore masala dosa - the Mysore chutney applied in dosa didnt taste at all like Mysore chutney and had some masala which didnt taste like a South Indian masala. Rating 1/5 🌟Ghee Mysore Masala - no salt again in dosa and chutney. Was crispy as requested but taste was not up to the mark.Sada Mysore masala - requested it crispy but was made thick as uttapM so we requested to replace it, which they did kindly. But taste wasnt good as such - 2.5/ 🌟Palak paneer dosa (Id never order this but a friend wanted to have it so it was ordered). Coz I prefer having authentic Dosas mostly. The Palak paneer was runny due to which the dosa was soggy. And lemme tell you, the Palak paneer tasted awful - rating 1/5 🌟The service was very slow. I agree it was a weekend but, the occupancy wasnt as full as it would be on a weekend.Oh and I forgotten to mention, on another table an elderly man had to fight for his order as it wasnt served until others on his table had finished eating.When we gave feedback regarding the food served and not so good service to the manager, he wasnt even interested in listening to us. When I told him about the taste of the food, that it isnt at par with the prices theyre charging, he asked me which all places have I had south Indian before? So Im assuming he thought I was having South Indian food for the first time in my life.This place is not recommended at all. Not worth going. Id say give it a miss. Dont waste your time and money!

Its an average place for South Indian food. We had only ordered a dosa but found it a little too oily. The Sambhar had a sweetish tone which we generally do not prefer in South Indian food. But they have an open kitchen, the food is nearly prepared and served, the service is quick and the staff is cordial. Its also inexpensive.

I have been to two branches in vadodra, L&T circle opp. To raatri bazaarand other on jetal pur road opp. Pizza bell. They serve, some good local south Indian recepies apart from Idli, Dosa and uttapam... They have combo options and an assorted Thalia which they serve on specific days. Over all experienc was average... I ordered rava onion masala Dosa and it was, different in both outlets... I suggest to be very specific about what you want in the recepies upfront...

What a great surprise Dakshin Brahmins – Jetalpur / Alkapuri , Vadodara Outlet was. It was recommended to us but it surpassed all our expectations from the minute we walked in the door to the moment the staff thanked us for visiting us on leaving. The greeting was warm and welcoming, the ambience was friendly, the service was unhurried without being slow. Superb place and Nice menu. Best place for corporate employees and executives , when they have to work whole day and want to have something light. Decent Interiors and enough lighting. We dont had to wait much, order and service was very prompt. Food was well prepared and cooked, with aroma of fresh ingredients. Prices are balanced not too much high, not much low.If you want to have authentic south Indian food, this is the best place. The staff were always on hand to ensure you had an enjoyable meal and memorable evening. This place is spiced just right.A must Visit !!

I ordered Ghee Pudi Masala Dosa, which was good crispy and so repeat my order as ghee Pudi plain Dosa (as is in menu), it was different and also chewy. I asked the waiter that its not same as earlier. He made some argued and then agreed to get same as crispy. To my surprise he brought plain Dosa. I said it was Ghe Pudi plain Dosa and you brought plain Dosa. And he offered me that will sprinkle Pudi. I was surprise with reply. I then ask him enough of helping and ate the oldr chewy Dosa. The jaw pained for at least 5-10 min after completing it. My friend ordered mendu vada and it was nothing better than rock.

Good place for south indian food made in ghee.. The pineapple halwa overflows with ghee. Mysore sada dosa and plain dosa are good items. Idli is as big as a roti.! Good to go with family.
