Shilpgram as the name suggests has been developed for providing a place to artisans to showcase their products. In continuation of this theme there is an open theatre located inside the premise so that the artists from all around the world can showcase their various art forms like dances, plays, various other cultural shows native to their areas.The setting is like an amphitheatre and the seating is naturally developed from mud and in traditional style. Every year shilpotsav is held here and artists from all over India come to perform and entertain. Its a great initiative from the tourism development perspective as well as from the local art promotional aspect.The beautiful winter nights become lively when this theatre is operational.

Nice cultural trade fare and lok kala nratya and handicraft market fare, old cultural releted things and hand made products are there .....so its good place for visit....

Attended a Mushayara here in November 16th. It was amazing. The open theatre is too good.

Excellent place to know the culture of Rajasthan, people and values. Nice place to hangout with family and friends. Should buy leather products as they are cheap than the outside market (Near to City Palace)

Beautiful performance by the artists. I loved this place. Spare sometime to appreciate the performance of the artists here if you visit Shilpgram.

Superb ambience.

The really played and danced on beautiful songs and showed the tradition of Rajasthan. The dancers wear nice but one of them agreed to take a photo of her but instead charged me a 50 rupees for like nothing .

One of the great place in Udaipur . Usually this open all year but starting from 21st December to 30th December . Their is festival of art , dance music of Indian culture from different states participants are also welcome. In this theatre cultural programs organised by government of India and nagar Nigam Udaipur. Entry ticket is just 60₹. You can buy many products which totally handmade products.

Jewel of Udaipur city. Near Fateh sagar (fs) on Badi villege road. Shilpgram utsav is celebrated every year 21st Dec to 30 Dec.Dont miss it. Opportunity to see the Indian culture and folk dances songs. There living style. Ethnic look.Parking is a problem at time of fair. But its ok to walk some distence.It took 3 to 4 hr to visit full. Please plan to stay for stage show after 7: 0 pm apart from 3-4 hr visit.Although remain opened rest of the year and some shops and stalls opened. some artists performs. Can see videos on you tube.

Shilp Gram Western Culture Folk Art Center where the art and culture of ancient times is preserved.The Shilpgram festival is organized here from 21 to 31 December every year. In this event, the cultural programs of our society are organized by the artists of all the states in this open theater, which are presented very attractive scenes by the artists. It is organized in the lap of nature under the open sky at night. Guests from abroad come to see it.

There are seven huts of Rajasthan in this complex. Two of these huts are the residence of the weaver, whose model has been taken from the village Rama of Rajasthan and Sama in the desert of Jaisalmer. The hut of Kumbhakara living in the mountainous region of Mewar is taken from Dhol village, 70 km away from Udaipur. Two other huts belong to the Bhil and Sahariya tribals of South Rajasthan, who are basically farmers.The Shilpgram has twelve huts each emblematic of the state of Gujarat, in which it is derived from the village of Banni and Bhujodi of six Kutch. The Rebari, Harijan and Muslim caste living in the Bunni huts are 2-2 huts each, which are considered as glass embroidery, Bharthakala and the master craftsman of Rogankam. Lambria is home to Mrina Shilpi of the village Poshina in North Gujarat, who is recognized as the creator of her special type of horses. Near this, there is a weavers residence in the village of Vasedi in Chhota Udaipur in West Gujarat. The huts of Rathwa and Dang, the tribes representing the primitive and farming community of Gujarat, can be identified with their traditional architectural and mural ornaments. In addition, the exquisite wood carving is a unique piece of woodwork in the Gandhainagar district of Gujarats Pethapura Haveli.
