Very good food. Tried it on my very first night and loved everything we ordered. Only tried the vegetarian options. Nice and quick service.

First meal in Rajasthan turned out to be the best meal of our trip and cost us only $22 for all the dishes we had below. I am sure this is rather expensive for local standard but yummy food in pleasant environment? Worth it. The restaurant also has a roof top seating area. The Laal Maas (a Rajasthani mutton curry that we will come across again and again on our tour of Rajasthan) was the best that we had in the entire trip (beats restaurant in all the palace hotels restaurants across Rajasthan) that the taste is very complex and spicy without being so hot that it burns our tongues. The Dal Makhani (black lentils cooked in ghee and topped with cream) was smooth, fragrant and creamy and the okra (Binti) was also very delicious and this place served the dish with a generous dollop of yogurt and lots of sesame seed with temper the spiciness or the chili it was stir fried in. Excellent place for lunch or dinner!

Just another roof top place in old Udaipur city. I ordered fish and chips with beer. The food quality was average while service was good. There is nothing unique in terms of food offering and view/roof top experience is similar to what others offer in the vicinity. Good service.

I generally believe that places with a smaller menu have the best food because they focus on what theyre actually good at. This place is no exception. We were a mixed group of Indians and a foreigner and we all equally loved both the food and the service. Really sweet people!

One of the best Restaurants we found on our trip. Rajastani specialities. Try their tandoori and Laal Maas. But not only the food is good. Tge best part about the white terrace is Vijay. He is so welcoming, attentive and warm-hearted. We only had one night in Udaipur and meeting him and eating at the white terrace twice was the best part of it. Highly, highly recommended!

This restaurant is the best I have tried so far in India (after 8 days). The food was absolutely awesome, the location and scenery were great, but what really made the biggest difference was the service. Vijay, our waiter, was the sweetest. He gave us great advice, was available and patient, not too present or pushy, and really touched us with some subtle attention to details like proactively asking whether we wanted starters first or all dishes together.A shame it was our last evening in Udaipur, I would happily come back tomorrow!

Nice restaurant and friendly staff. Prices somewhat above avarage but still very reasonable.Taste of food was good. However the Paneer Makhanwala that - as stated in the menu - should have come in a rich tomato honey gravy was way extremely oily.

The food here is to die for... we ordered chicken gravy cookes in coriander and cream with butter naan and it was delicious! Place is slightly expensive but its worth it

Very stylish place to overlook the city, great food and very friendly people. The menu also has a lot of different options, not just the standard stuff you get anywhere else. We tried the freshwater fish and it was delicious. Strongly recommended

Food was delicious and came out very fast. The setting was perfect for a romantic candlelit date. The chairs were comfortable and not made of metal, which was a plus. It was super nice that the other tables werent close. The waiter was lovely. We asked for spicy and he worried about how our stomachs would handle the spice, so gave us manageable and flavoursome spicy.

Very polite and helpful staff. Amazing food. We tried Sambj Peshawari, veggies cooked in creamy cashew gravy and the non vegetarians should try Kache Ghost Ki Biryani. They have rooftop and under roof options for seating.

Excellent food, flavorful but not too spicy. Staff is very helpful if the tourists has no idea what to eat. Hygiene is excellent. Ambience is perfect if you want a quiet place. Highly recommended place to eat and drink.

Its a great place if youre looking for vegetarian and non vegetarian food in udaipur especially in tandoori style. They sever fresh cooked food in Indian home made style food cooked and served here. Do not be out off by the rather dull approach.. once on the rooftop, overlooking the street and Jani temple, you will enjoy well prepared and presented food, with good service and good prices. Also fun to watch the comings and goings in the busy street below.

Went there for dinner with children. Had called the restaurant and they had confirmed that Uber can reach there. However, turned out the lane is too narrow for the car to pass and so we had to walk about 300 meters through a dirty alley to reach the restaurant.Restaurant is on the terrace of a building. Had to cross open drains (albeit small) to reach. Restaurant itself was clean once we reached. But the experience of getting there had killed our appetite.Getting back to our hotel after dinner was equally difficult since Uber doesnt get there.In summary, take an auto if you want to eat here. And desensitize yourself before going. Food was good but definitely not worth the ordeal.

As the other reviews say, you can’t go wrong with this place. So easy to find, near the City Palace - beautiful decor on a rooftop (although not with so many steep stairs to climb as some of the others with a rooftop terrace). Great menu, and they serve Kingfisher. What’s not to like?

Food was ok. I had biryani which could have been a bit warmer. Seating is in a calm atmosphere, rooftop tables have interesting views of surrounding buildings.Nice beer and good service.

We had a great experience! The food was amazing and the service very attentive. The price also very affordable. We asked our waiter what he recommended and our meal was fabulous. Stayed in Udaipur for a couple of nights, walked past the restaurant a couple of times and then decided to pop in, wow, wonderful roof terrace and Vijay the waiter was incredible from his beaming smile to his absolute attentiveness. The food was delicious, ravioli and tandoori chicken, superb. We will be definitely coming here again, a must for anyone visiting udaipur, thank you immensely for the wonderful service PS the rum was also good😉

This little restaurant will delight you with the taste of its food when other big restaurants fail at it. The ambience is really soothing and the staff is cordial. However, dont expect a lot of variety to order from.

The owner its very helpfull and the food is first class. You pay for what you get. I would recommend it to all looking for good clean food and savice in udaipur.

Delicious!!!! Great service, very nice clean restaurant with a view! Google maps was, as usual, wrong again about location. Its up the hill about 75m, and clearly marked.

The food here is amazing. Try the stuffed aloo starter, it just heaven to your appetite. The owner is a gem of guy and really cares for his guests. Roof top in the evening is a cherry to the cake.

Very authentic Indian food. Rajasthani non veg is exemplary. The sitting arrangements on the terrace is also quite nice a.d refreshing. However people with small kids or elderly parents may find it difficult to navigate the stairs as theyre very narrow and steep and dont have a banister

Dined at this restaurant. If you need my honest review, here it is. Being an Indian myself I was taken back by the place where this is located. Got carried away with the reviews that was on trip advisor and booked an Uber. Before we booked The UBer, we called up the place to check if the Car can drop us exactly there (learnt from our past experiences) and they confirmed that the car can drop us at the exact location. Knowing that, guess what! We took the Uber and he refused to take us close to the restaurant and I could totally understand his point. The road is 15 feet wide. We got down and walked for about 5 minutes and located this restaurant . The entrance to this smelled so bad that I really felt I am in the dirtiest place I have ever seen/been to.I just can’t express how bad the ambience is. Now for the food, it is very average and I suggest you look for other alternatives.Such a horrible experience that I am unable to put all of it in words!

Friendly staff, homely atmosphere and great food

I found the food to be average and was surprised this place is so highly rated. The okra dish was tasty but oily. The deep fried cauliflower starter was nice but not crispy. The laal Maas should be a fiery red curry but despite the colour it had no spice at all, it was also too oily and lamb too fatty. Service was good.

Became my favorite restaurant in Udaipur whilst staying in town for 6 days. Great local cuisine in a cozy environment, with friendly staff. Also a great place to stop by for a beer during the day!

Absolutely amazing experience at this restaurant. Tasty food and friendly staffs! Indian and Western fusion dish, tried the Kerala Chicken, both chicken and mutton Briyani - they are not as spicy as the traditional, which good for people prefer milder taste/have been having too much local food that would like a break for your stomach =P.

My boyfriend and I ate here after watching the Bagore Ki Hiveli dance, which is only a 1 min walk away (which we would also recommend doing, it was excellent).The setting in this restaurant is beautiful; it’s on a rooftop and they light candles.We shared the chicken tikka tandoor for a starter which was so tender and perfectly spiced. I had the lady finger curry which was so smokey and full of flavour. My boyfriend had the Lal Mas mutton curry which also was so tasty (the best he’s had so far in India) and beautifully spiced.The staff were very accommodating and so friendly! We both highly recommend this restaurant whilst in Udaipur! 👌🏼

Regret visiting this restaurant for Lunch. The starter we ordered was a let down, so was the Fresh lime soda.... (HOW can anyone go wrong with FLS???) And the pricing was steep for the items we ordered. We left soon after to have lunch elsewhere... Never again...

I don’t get it.The ambience of the restaurant is quite nice but that’s where it ends. We waited for a table on the roof in the downstairs part of the restaurant where there was another table eating. The vehicle fumes coming up and in from the street below made me feel nauseous after just 5 minutes, this didn’t really improve on the rooftop due to still being relatively low down and enclosed by surrounding buildings.As for food, it was reasonably priced. We decided to try the Laal Maas as I had struggled to find anything spicy during my trip to India and this had been advised as a spicy Rajasthani dish.What we received was a bowl full of gravy (sauce) and I think 2 maybe 3 bite size pieces of poor quality meat each. Along with a large bone which whilst I’m sure added flavour had nothing but cartilage and gristle on it. It wasn’t spicy either, the waiter after told me they don’t make it spicy as westerners complain. FML.I left feeling hungry and disheartened.Don’t bother.

Very overrated place, food isn’t more than average. You can get better food in other spots.The view is poor, the stairs aren’t an easy walk to reach the roof.
