The kovai departmental stores, well, no need to tell about this chain of shops. The one in Tirupur is located in the heart of the city. Good number of staff but some are less aquainted with the merchandise and details. Groceries, toiletries, apparels, kitchenware, toys, vegetables, beverages, stationary, home appliances, textiles, plastic ware etc., have separate sections. Quality of the products was quite good. One cannot expect high value branded goods. Enough parking space. Sundays are crowded. Billing staff are less trained and always one or two counters only working irrespective of the waiting queue. Like you know there are better shops than Kovai departmental store in Tirupur... This shop has mostly all the products but not like Nilgiris or other super markets.. you can have use of this store when you forgot to buy any things from your need list or you can use for any other urgent purposes.. the great problem of this shop is you have stand in a line for billing and go pay in other side and again come back to the same place and shout for our things.. it is a bit messy... I have to admit that there is no AC in this shop and it will be like standing in a cooker...I suggest you not to go to this shop if there is no emergency cases...
