Traditions at its best. This restaurant truly brings alive the main culture of Kerela by serving food on the banana leaf. It defines the old Indian culture of eating with hand which is largely lost in todays time.

Kerala meal was not up to expectation, biryanai was not that great in taste.Grape and Pasion drink was superb..must try.Located on highway.

Hotel Mekkattil is a drive in restaurant At the Kuthiraan valley with friendly staff and fresh food.The best thing I remember is the helping mentality of the staff, one gentleman came with enough umbrellas to the parking lot as we were parking the car.You will get organic fruit juices and fresh banana fries too.... that’s what I got there at that time. we tried both papaya and guava juices very tasty.They got ample of parking space, neat and clean toilets unlike other restaurants.A lot of space to accommodate number of people and family rooms available too.The best thing I like was the coffee they served. Very neat and good place to have your meal or snacks while traveling. Food is homely, tasty and fresh. The owner is always around giving suggestions on the items.

Many No..no...nos about this wayside eatery. Unhygenic and tasteless food, unclean toilets, unfriendly staff, unclear billing..everything makes it a mess. We hoped over here today for breakfast. Only one person was there to attend 3 families having food. Chappathy, Appam, egg curry and gobi manchurian were the items available. No other choice. Not at all tasty. Only tick mark about this hotel is the spacious car parking area and easy visibility from the NH. Will never visit again. Management needs to drastically improve the quality of food and hygiene.

We stopped for breakfast at this place enroute to Bangalore from Kochi. Had Appam, kadala curry and veg kurma. The food served was tasty and service quick.They dont have Dosa or idli on the menu.

One of the best highway side restaurants I have ever visited. It had options for both organic food and regular food too. The ambience was of a regular Kerala restaurant. The food was amazing and tasted like home made food. I also had my first ever jack fruit juice from there.

This is my favourite place either we reach for breakfast or lunch on our way to Mumbai. The food is delicious with authentic Kerala food. Its on the highway so its very easy to reach the hotel. The hotel is very crowded still the staffs manages it very well. Its clean n hygienic.

Location is awesome and have ample space to park our car, refreshment and wash rooms are available for gents and ladies separately and in the hotel fresh organic juice was really good, we had mango juice fresh from their organic farm nearby. But food is average we had parotta with chicken curry which doesnt taste good and the beef briyani could be better. One must visit the nursery next to their hotel which is wonderful, they have great collection of plants which we should not miss and the rates are fairly priced.

Visited for breakfast, thought to have dosa, they said no dosa, next I asked for all favourite Kerala item porrota they said only Appam and chappathi. Ordered Appam and egg curry, disgusting Appam with gum effect, posting photos. If they dont have enough dishes then why dont they stop hotel for this corona season. Even though Im very much hungry I only had one and half appam. Hotel, staffs and hotel side garden is good.

We stopped here to have lunch on our way to Cochin from Coimbatore. You wont get what you want here. They will let you know what they have and you will have to pick up from those.But a pleasant place to take a break from your journey and relax for sometime. They have got a lot of parking and toilets ( but note: Indian style toilets only ).

Food and their hosptality is super , tastes was very good, the place is very clean, the owner and staffs are very heart welcomed love, the incident happened when we visited hotel, some other groups of customer visited hotel and had dinner happily and they ordered for a parcel, parcel was delivered to them, but customers forgot the parcel on the table and star moving their car from the hotel, hotel owner saw this and took the parcel and ran towards car shouting for 50mts and delivered them parcel, it was very heart touching for us
