Good place for a peaceful outing. Not a crowded place. There is a beautiful sea bridge, which is now damaged and entry is not allowed. Good riding destination around city for pedellars. Not as good as Sanghumukham beach, but not crowded. As sanghumukham is cleaned up by the sea, this is a good alternative.
Its my hometown landmark. Now its under threat of destruction. But thankfully the Government is taking measures to conserve the century old bridge which has lots of stories to tell. Lets hope for the best for a day to come on which public can enjoy the marvelous sunsets sitting on top of the Majestic waves
Valiathura is was a major port of Thiruvananthapuram city the capital of Kerala, India. It is one of the oldest port in India. This was once the only port along the South Kerala coast. When Kochi became the prominent port in Kerala, Valiyathura lost its significance as a major port. Now Valiathura is considered as a fishing port.
Valiathura Beach is located in Thiruvananthapuram. Its a nice beach to enjoy the beauty of sunset as well as to see the boat fishing procedure. There is a bridge extending towards the sea which is in a danger condition.Thats the main attraction. The entry to rhis bridge is reatricted now. You can also see a small fort nearby and lot of boats and fisherman.
This place not for family....place are not comfortable...pl dont go there
Childhood place (always!). (Havent explored much but would love to.)Valiathura Beach, a place to calm your mind.People are very loving, listens to your heart and soul.Though requires improvement in terms healthy gossiping, healthy eavesdropping etc. 🙃🙂
This place is good for its fresh fish market. Though the quite famous valiuathura bridge is now in danger, tress passing is not allowed. The market start by 6 in the morning
This is a place where locals are usually filled. You can see fishermen resting, playing cards and even boozing. The travelers are very less here. But this is a good place to catch the sunset. The bridge is under construction and it will be up in few days. Theres a church opposite to here and its really beautiful
It is an historical place, bit hardly managed well to keep it intact. The bridge is in collapse.Best example to see how we value our own history. Also it gives a glimpse into our ways and means to address natural agression.India, is far behind other parts of the world in above maintainance.
The access to the bridge is denied for visitors as they say it is dangerous to walk through the dilapidated bridge.the bridge is Used by the local fisherman to get onto the boat by jumping from the bridge during periods of intense winds and violent sea waves.one Could observe the lifes of fisherman preparing for the journey to the sea.
Its a hub for fresh fishes and amazing view to chill out in the evening ❤️❤️
Good beach but little dirty
Being a native of trivandrum, I have been to this place quite a few times. But the one I would always cherish was on a full moon day, early before the sun rise. It was a feast to my soul to watch the moonlight reflection on the sea, near the ruins of the bridge. My phone camera could capture only .01% of what my eyes witnessed. It was a beauty, a real beauty. That was the only time I liked this beach.Thought the premises are shabby the sea is green and beautiful. The other attraction is the old bridge which is now totally damaged and entry forbidden for public. This beach is famous for its fish market as its a fishermens halting point. You can find fresh fish at a wholesale price.
Go to the pier!! Its worth every bit
Very bad. Bad smell
This beach was in a good and excellent vibe conditions but now everything in reverse and its condition getting worst.
Its a nice place to spending an evening or a early morning walk. Its near to the fishermen bay and you will often see fishermen at work. Valiathura has a broken bridge where you can get a good view of the sea. There is a church nearby. Its not a famous place which I would say is great enough to visit when you come for a trip from other cities. I would recommend this for locals for a nice evening walk or a early morning jog.
The place is great in evening... But the thing is that you will not be allowed to enter the sea bridge. Its said that there was railway through there in the past.We can also see the historic warehouse getting renovated as wellNeed to be cautious as sea is rough out there. Most houses are took by the sea as well
Bridge is broken(coz of cyclone taute),so cud nt feel the essence 😣
One of the most beautiful sea water I have ever seen, that green crystal clear water and the white sand accompanied by local free divers catching fishes is one breathtaking combo, enjoyed a lot even if its a small beach.
Fresh fish available.
I love my place
As a native, would love be there, but wont permit to enter the bridge.
Good view and nice Climate...
There are a few sweet spots on this beach. You can grab a beer & your buddy to hangout in the eve. The path that leads to the beach smells a LOT of fish
No access to the public... Dilapidated structure.
It is unsafe for kids, elders and all. Public is not allowed and its dangerous. The beach without any safety measures like life saving guards, drone life guard, life boat crews Etc.., So Powerful waves, it may take the viewers into the sea in a second. Just we can enjoy the seashore by walk. Try not to visit.
Improve cleanliness and you will have a world class beach....
It was awesome before. Now there is no street light and all. There is no proper beach also.
It is worth watching the waves from this Pier. The fishermen use this for launching their boats into sea and the catch is also brought to the shore through this bridge. But due to the age, the bridge is in a bad shape, posing danger if not proper care is taken. Entry has been restricted due to this reason
Best place to hang out
Scenic. Currently not allowed to enter the bridge
Fresh fish 🐠
Good not for expected
One of the best sunset views in Trivandrum can be experienced here👌💖
The beach was good. Just lot of waste in the shores.
Good place for outing
Its not a famous tourist place in trivandrum but still you can enjoy beauty of sea in the evening. There is a bridge extending towards the sea which is in a danger condition. The entry to rhis bridge is reatricted now.You can also see a small fort nearby and lot of boats and fisherman.
Nice place.....
Main attraction of this beach is the Kadal palam(sea bridge). Long distance very old sea bridge, its the main photo shoot area.
Beautiful beach and long bridge
Not a great place to hangout, especially for girls.
Nowadays they won’t allow to the bridge march 2018
A new experience
Due to COVID rush is very less
Best place buy sea foods to cook not tourist place
Very Bad condition right now.
View was wonderful
Nice beach
What a heavy place......
Nothing special about this beach. The pier is also closed. The beach is used by fishermen, so smells a lot.
A nice place to spend evening with friends & family
Now not allowed in bridge side
Calm and peace
Its not for tourists... Fishermans beach. There is a seabridge not accessible for public.
It was superb.
Cant go to the bridge. Locals are a nuisance. Avoidable
She is very Beautiful 😍😊😍
