Went there just after 12, guy at front desk said they were open. Once we were all seated they informed food will be ready only after 30 mins. We left as we did not want to wait that long. Not sure if its a usual thing for the food to be ready at only around 12 30. If that’s the case highly recommend the owners to update the google maps timings.Not a great first experience but that doesn’t mean the food is bad. Will update the review in case I decide to go back again 😀

I got to try chicken kizhi biriyani and erachi kappa from Edaneram which was amazing and absolutely delicious. The spices in both dishes was just right.and aromatic and prepared to perfection. Thank you Edaneram for a delicious lunch and prompt delivery service.

Good place for mid-day and evening snacks. The assortment is good; staff amiable. We had Kozhi Pidi in picture, which was exquisite! Recommended. It is open till 11 PM. Ambience is good too, though we didnt spend much time there. It is placed on a one way, do parking may be an issue. Be mindful of you are taking your car with you.

Edaneram brings the time-honored dishes of Kerala to the table, but is hardly tempting for a second visit.They have certain signature dishes such as chattichoru (rice with buttermilk, veggies, beef dry fry, anchovies and pappadam) for Rs 210- bluntly overpriced. The presentation is fancily done in an earthen pot, but fails in taste. Their regular vegetarian meal is also not worth the price for a very ordinary palate. The ‘mother’s veg plaza’ and Athithi Devo, just a few yards away, serves enjoyable sadya for a budget price. Edaneram does not stand a competition to those.The menu is beautifully arranged, listing all the traditional dishes, but what is the point if the food is not impressive. The décor of the place is the sole impressiveness in the restaurant. The wooden, brick and thatch surfaces add to the countryside mood. Posters of classic scenes from the immortal Malayalam movies is appealing. Some traditional sweets have been adorably set in jars on a podium.The diner can seat just about 20 people. The menu is not overly elaborate. They have enough waitrons to attend to the customers. They have brought a great idea of serving the cherished age-old food. Now all they need to do is serve good food worth the price, but they have failed.

Highly disappointed for the second time! Had a very bad experience of getting a food poison after having a meal from them an year before...As its been some time, thought of giving it a try again today..(my bad, I shouldnt have dont that) Quality and quantity of the food is not worth at all for the high prices they charge. Good ambiance, food above average, wait time is bit longer. We tried chiken puttu biriyani, beef puttu biriyani, parota and poth roast. Puttu biriyani was bit more dry type and without gravy we cant eat it as compared to other puttu biriyani I have tried. Poth roast was not tasting as roast but was good.

Went there during the lunch hours and the place was crowded. Waited and we got a seat. Ordered their fish curry meals and anchovy fries. Need to say that the veg curries all tasted homely and the fish curry and the anchovy or nettoli fry was really delicious. They also serve specials like as per availability. Food is simple and tasty, some food varieties are like truly grandmas recipe feel. 4 wheeler parking is difficult, you need to patiently wait and find a place apt for your vehicle. Well behaved staffs, but customer handling could have be better.

Pretty decent experiance. Delicious dishes. My favourite was ofcourse the pazhankanji (Non-veg costed Rs.80), the side dishes was pretty amazing. No parking slot. Washroom and Toilet was kept clean. Overall ambience was cool. I really did like here. Price was reasonable I guess.

He took me and my cousin to this place named Edaneeram meaning interval. Ambience of old tea stall and a bit of movie advertising area. The feel and look was great.Coming to main part food we ordered chicken puttu, prawns puttu, appam with chicken curry to go with beverages they have is their very own versions of tea . We ordered dancing tea , masala tea and edaneeram spl tea.The water served was also boiled with herbals and cooled downComing to taste I absolutely loved prawn puttu, I felt chicken puttu and chicken curry lacked some salt and spices.But after speaking to my friend he informed me is that authentic version of delicacy doesnt have much of salt and spices,if we informed the chef he can definitely add but its not authentic any more.I would definitely recommend this place if you ever visited Trivandrum.Bill I donno , friend paid I ate...😋😋😋Tummy Kush tho sab kuch Kush 😉

Imagine traditional kerela food with a twist. Thats exactly this place is. The food is just amazing! Ill definitely come back for more. I tried the chicken putt, just order 2 more. Also had the kappa Biryani which was one of the best Ive tasted in Trivandrum. We also had koth parota and beef curry. And everything was great and tasty. The service is great. Very friendly staff. I loved the guy taking the orders. He knows the product very well and I was impressed by the way he explained the menu. The only downside is that the food is a bit in the pricey side. One reason I had to order multiple chicken putt was because if the low quantity. But what this place lacks in quantity , it makes up in quality. Go for it!!!

Idaneram is a pretty small restaurant that serves delicious Nadan spread. Prices are reasonable for the tasty food they provide. Interiors are nicely done as well. All in all, worth more than one visit.

A small but comfortable restaurant located at vazhuthakadu. The food is very tasty and homely. The achayan sadya that they served has a single small piece of fish, chicken fry and a small quantity of beef alongwith the usual dishes. Non.veg is limited. And they serve a special sweet dish which they call paani supposed to.be made from palm. The food was tasty. But the staff is not able to handle the rush efficiently.Had to ask multiple times for refilling sambar and the thodu kari. Oru eda neerathekku mathrame they will respond to you.

The ambience is very neat and made in old kerala thattukada style with all modern ameties available. The dishes are served on earthen plates. Given such ambience and feel, the place is very good for spendibg cool times with ur friends and family.

A Sunday lunch served only Achayan’s Sadya (Veg/Non Veg). If you can handle super spicy food, then you would enjoy it.

Average ambience and food.. fish curry is excellent... Variety presentation of foods like podichoru, chattichoru etc is good, but nothing commendable... Will always visit for a good lunch with fish and omelette... Forgot to mention that in pothivhoru which i had recently, omlette was the smallest i had in my life, maybe quarter egg omlette.. to help my cholesterol levels..
