I loved this place a lot this place a really good video and a very devotional place.......This place is really on a very high altitude but the place is good to visit......You can visit here and enjoy its peace and natural feel....I enjoyed here a lot and you can visit here with family and friends.....
For bikers and mountain biker cyclists, this is an ideal location especially during the monsoon season when the road gets wet & mucky and gives that feel a perfect off roading experience.Theres a gushing stream of water that welcomes at the start where rickshaw drivers was their vehicles. It is easier to take 2 wheelers from a roadway made on top of this stream. 4 wheelers can come at their risk but an SUV can make through this stream. Then theres a nice climb and it gets even more interesting to ride during monsoons. On top theres a nice temple and going ahead theres a water body where the babas come to bathe and theres water that flows down from the other side. If you on the ride side of that body theres a small trek which can be tricky and mushy to take you to a nice small waterfall. Also, if you want to eat there are eatout places with sitting area where you get amazing corn bhajis and brilliant wadas. Overall nice get away for a weekend with family and friends.
This place is amidst the nature. Either you can hike or you can ride your bike or drive your car till the main entrance. There’s a parking space for both. The road condition is idle for a proper hike and not for vehicles. There’re a couple of snacks centre and toilets are available.Best time to visit is during rainy season to enjoy the view. You’ll find a lot of monkeys.
Not allowed to go to temple because of COVID restrictions.
This place is always special! Back in times, when most of the temples were hard to access by vehicles, one had to climb through rocky roads and jungles to worship their deity.Tungareshwar, still has a 2kms patch into the woods. Though you can access it with two wheelers but the walk up to this Shiva temple still gives you that feel of accomplishment. Usually its difficult to have such temples around the city but this one is a blessing indeed.
Unico industrial park b no 2 g no 103 Laxmi group my name is AJIT SINGH
This is Lord Shivas temple, very nice peaceful place... devotees can buy offerings from outside shops on the way to temple..we were allowed to enter inside the main temple and worship, perform jalavishek on shivling. For eateries.. small dhaba type restaurants are also available if anyone wishes to have something, we visited on 28th Feb , it was dry and hot climate, Tungareshwar waterfall was dried up.
YOULL FIND THE NICE THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE IN OTHER REVIEWS, BUT IN THIS REVIEW, I ONLY REQUEST YOU GUYS THAT IF YOU COME HERE ON BIKES AND CARS, PLEASE RIDE SAFE. THERE ARE LOCALITIES WHO LIVE HERE AND WILD ANIMALS THAT YOU CAN ENCOUNTER ANYWHERE, WE ARE IN THEIR HABITAT, WE HAVE TO BE CAREFUL, NOT JUST FOR THEIR SAFETY BUT FOR OURS AS WELL. RIDE SAFE, DONT LITTER THE PLACE AND REMEMBER Take only memories, leave only footprints
Short and nice place to visit in rains. Trek is also suitable for kids aged 8 and above as the road for trek is wide enough and clean.
Beautiful place and beautiful waterfall. There are lots of birds and monkeys and other animals. One of the best places in Mumbai to visit. One can travel through the highway and can reach the tungareshwar temple. From borivali it is almost 45-60 minutes of ride in moderate or low traffic. Best time to visit us early morning. Do visit
Excellent place for experiencing the beauty & calmness of nature and the temple of lord Shiva on the top of the mountain
Its a Peaceful Temple of Mahadev in Vasai. For those who love trekking and also are a devotee of Mahadev, shall visit this Temple. Its a trek of about 1-2 hour depending on your pace and also if youre going to enjoy the trek and weather. The path contains waterfalls and also a dam during monsoons. On the top you can eat as there are food stalls and also kid friendly playing area.
Very fresh And soothing nature. Feels like heaven at that place. Mostly visit in mansoon weather
The temple, as well as the national park, was closed on 6th Sept, 2021. People are adviced to check well before planning to go.
Beautiful and serene place. Temple is located deep inside the forest. Excellent tree cover. There are many hotels offering good food. Temple has place to stay but temporarily closed due to Covid. Lot of monkeys around, be ware while carrying food items and bags. We went in Beginning of April, so it was little hot but excellent tree cover is there. A nice place for day outing. Mobile network is seldom available.
Good place spending time with your family Many temple is here and ashram and natural Waterfall you Natur lover you come here because haven is here🥰😍
Nice place to visit in one day from Mumbai... Forest area n calm place
Due to pandamic it has closed till next order.Notice board has displayed everywhere. At Enterence also..I must appreciate that police officer. He is doing his duty very cleverly and honestly. When tourist request him to allow for few min he strictly deny with no partiality.Important thing is that if you guys see a board infront of main highway gate dont enter inside.Baki place is just wow. Temple is also well maintaind. It is on hill and situated on water fall and its flowing water, for safety reasons construction is soo good. U will feel calm and refreshing. Generally we we went by 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler upto the temple but try to park ua vehicle at ground of the hill and start walking through. U will get just better experience. temple is not soo faar from ground.
Awesome place for simple trekking during monsoon. Get to see many waterfall. Enjoyed a lot. Mesmerizing natural beauty.
Nice temple...and best place to engage with nature
Temple is very well located in the mountains, you will find peace there. Have a variety of food stall and scenery is magnificent.

That temple is very good in nature and it have very good place where we can go for warships for load ShivTemples are places of personal revelation. When I have been weighed down by a problem or a difficulty, I have gone to the House of the Lord with a prayer in my heart for answers. The answers have come in clear and unmistakable ways.
Good place to visit with family and friends. Very quite and calm place. Road to the Mandir is very rough and tough.
Very beautiful place full enjoy with family and friends
We people are been paid an entry fees to visit the temple but still there is no proper railing on path. And also road conditions are so bad in monsoon at least there is an parking spots at the end point. Toilets are not at all cleaned. But the nature are scenic view takes the heart away.
One of the Best place to visit in monsoon
If you love nature, peace, beautiful mountains and devotional ambience then you will definitely will be in love with this place...Well connected through roads, Mumbai local in vasai...Easily reachable from Mumbai, Thane...One of the best place to hangout with the family..You will definitely spend some quality time with the family as the ambience around is superb...During monsoon motors are not reachable through roads instead you can trekk through beautiful mountains and rivers to reach temple..Come and fall in love with Shivji Temple and monkeys around the beautiful temple...
Temple is very good and at best location..the only demerit is road access. roads should be all over the mountain for better access for tourists.
Best place to visit in monsoons
Awesome place for low grade hiking and fun there is small waterfall at the mid top and awesome sceneries and weather from top near ashram but its crowded in weekend recommended in monsoons that too in mid days only....
One of the must place to visit if you are in vasai. Next to nature. Even parking is available. Autorickshaw is also available. There is also an ashram available at a distance of about 6.2 km from mandir. Waterfall and many more.
This temple is located on the top of the hill which maake it so beautifull and with lovely view aanndd silence .it is so beautifull during rainny season with lots of greenery and waterfall is also here which is also make it so good .i loved this place so much you should. try to visit here but during rainny season and temple is also built here is beautiful .you will get bus and auto from vasai road station ..

Best time visit tungareswar temple in rainy season.....
Is a beautiful place to visit. Th off-road drive was exciting. Best visit should be during mansoon
Best place to visit in rainy season.. you can njoy waterfall n river here. Best place to see natures beauty .. also a small temple of Lord Shiva is here. To find peace vist once here in rainy season
Good place for a walk among woods and also for off roading adventure. During rainy season look out for chinchoti waterfall. Google maps give proper directions.
Though being a Sunday it was less crowded at 9 am and as soon as we entered the temple the Aarti started. Cars go all the way up to the temple gate but during monsoons vehicles are not allowed due to water streams in between the route.
Very popular temple of Lord Shiva.prefer rainy season to go there...there is a waterfall which is very famoia...surrounding is are really good because it is a national park..so lots of greenary..
Tungareshwar Mahadev temple situated in tungareshwar national park very beautiful temple.silent, energetic, and good for meditation.तुंगारेश्वर महादेव मंदिर तुंगारेश्वर अभयारण्य मे स्थापित है।सुंदर मंदिर है। शांत उतैजित और एकाग्रता के लिए लाभदायक है।
Post lockdown reopening the feel is still the same. The santisation and wearking mask rules are strictly followed in the premises by the staff appointed and also by all the preist. Its recommended to travel with own eatables if required
Luv it very peacfull
Quite and good place; auto from Vasai East to temple or switch from base of Mountain to temple. Per person sharing auto available. During summer its quite hot. Place is renovated recently. We visit the place along with friends every year. Rainy season you will find lot of family trekking around from in and around Mumbai
A good place to visit. One can find beauty of nature all around
Good place for getting the family but one have to take a 2km of walk from the entrance and also auto are available as the temple is on the top one should try the Thandai energetic drink made from dry fruits and some spices and also the Kashmiri soda... eatables are also good...so take time and go for it and have a peace for your mind and body.Distance from Mumbai approx - 50 to 55 km
In monsoon ....there is trecking place..and,,suppb experience...it was good
A very peaceful place to enjoy nature, especially in Monsoon. Pls don’t dump trash on the trek.
Great place for God Shivas lover, best nature experience in this area
Peaceful and beautiful place nature lovers can visit and also most important thing that you get Mahadev blessing
Abode to shiva, this temple is located in tungareshwar national forest.Must visit during monsoon. Also you can get offroad experience.
Very nice place the temple is also very nice and I suggest to go inrainy session not if there is any chance for high rains plss avoid to go if chance to heavy rain
Its a very old shiva temple. Situated in forest on top of a mountain.
Nice temple and peaceful atmosphere...best place to visit in Rain but please leave the place before 6-7
Best time to visit this place is from July to December. from main road it is quite away so in rainy you can trekk or walk to reach the temple. while trekking you can enjoy the waterfalls as well as nature lover can spend good time here in pleseant forest. it is very safe place to visit..you can hire Auto to reach the temple. strictly avoide to drive your four wheeler to temple as road is not constructed well and need to pass to lake which is super dangerous when heavy rain fall is.
It is two km trekking place situated in jungle. You can also reach to temple with rented rickshaw,SUVs if dont want to enjoy the trek. Number of small stalls are situated in the path. Their are two river crossing in between in which for crossing one of the river you literally have to cross without any kind of bridge or anything. You will find monkeys their. You will surely enjoy the nature. Best time to visit is during sawan month
Very adventurous pace...everyone who wants to adventures in life have to visit in rainy seasons.
One of the best place near Mumbai
Amazing location to go for it .Best part is near by water fall in this temple and good place to goSitting, parking, and goods foods are available hear
Great place. Loved the vibe. But we went on a weekday so it was quite peaceful👍
Very Great experience. Best place for having some time with friends and family on weekends. Its within a distance from city. Crowded place, but good to go with families. You should go there in rainy seasons because there are too many waterfalls and fresh water ponds to enjoy.
The temple is beautiful. There were very few devotees when we visited and the pujaris were helpful. The temple itself is nestled in a forrested area with troops of monkeys ever vigilant. The silence and sanctity of the place was truly welcomed after the hustle and bustle of the city.
Dont know of the temple but the place is only worth visiting during the monsoons dont visit it during any other time of the year lots of snakes there 🐍 but during monsoons u have amazing waterfalls.Carry refreshments and take stops as the trek may get exhausting .
Its located in the tungareshwar national park and is reserve forest land. The trek is quite adventurous. If you have a vehicle make sure you are pretty good at driving because the uphill road is quite steep at some places. I suggest park your car at the base and hire an autorickshaw which are specially made for the climbing. Its a short 15 minute drive so it wouldnt matter even if you go 4-5 people in 1 rickshaw. Also its more affordable because while going in rickshaw the entry fee is charged only for 2 people. Otherwise per person 48 rs and 100 rs for car so its your choice how to go. The temple complex is also good and quite peaceful experience you will have.
My favourite temple place
Very good Shiva temple, bit of trek to reach the temple but worth it, best time to visit is in monsoon
One day picnic sport....best time to go in monsoon.....
An amazing place to visit specially in monsoon season and its not only a temple also an amazing place to visit it has waterfall small lake kind off thing and much more
Very close to nature. There are lots of waterfalls.Very attractive place
Nice tempal and kids play games
One of the great experiences!!I reached there in the early morning when the pooja started n the live music was awesome. And nature is simply at its best, it’s preferable in rainy season to experience the waterfalls and beautiful nature. You just need to hire certain kind of rickshaw or car because the roads are still out of reach of human. So it’s a bit difficult to go with bike.
Great view in rainAmazing waterfall
Peace and blessings places
