This was one of my favorite restaurants in Tampa for Korean food. I have been going their since 2015. I went their for dinner yesterday and I was bit upset about the service. Ordered “Oh Jing Uh Dol Sot” and it was tasty. I loved it. Normally they used to give 6 banchan and yesterday they gave us only 4 and totally out of my taste. The server was in a hurry. She didn’t have a smile on her face.
We wanted to try Korean food so we searched for Korean authentic food in our area and came across Sa Ri One Korean Restaurant. So we called them up for the timings and for weekday dinner we went to Sa Ri One Korean Restaurant. We loved the ambience of the restaurant and it was nicely decorated. The servers were wearing their authentic Korean dress. Our server Jenny came to us with the menus and we asked her for the recommendations. From the menu and recommendations we ordered Terra Beer, Meat Mandoo, Fried Tofu, Chicken Gang Jung, Chicken Jop Chae, and Bul GoKi Chicken. The service was good and we got our order in less than 10 minutes. The food came out to be delicious and hot tasty food. Everything from the food was tasty and it was freshly made. We really loved the food. Although it was our first time at any Korean Restaurant we loved every single bit of it. It will not be a last time and we will come again.
High have been to South Korea 3 individual times. For also, I have been to just about every South Korean restaurant in Tampa.I ordered the clear noodle Bulgogi soup. It was a little too sweet, but it was yummy.Nope, I didnt try their fried chicken. Their fried rice was absolutely delicious. The kimchi was just okay
Absolutely delicious every single time. My go to is the Go Ki Bi Bim Bop, comes in a hot stone bowl. Any time I’ve gotten something other than that, it’s also been incredibly delicious. It being a home converted to a restaurant adds to the charm, there are multiple dining rooms so even when it’s busy it feels small and intimate.Definitely recommend.
Very good Korean Food!! Small, isolated seating making intimate, private and COVID friendly dining.
Food was good... Dining experience and environment not so good! The service could of been better. Restaurant needs a major makeover..
Just here to visit Tampa and had to find a place to eat. We got the bento box lunch, and the portions are a little bigger than I expected, which was great since I was pretty hungry. Service was fast, and the food was really great! Id definitely come back if I visit Tampa again.
Excellent Korean food and a hidden gem in Tampa. Definitely some of the most authentic Korean food Ive ever had. Very cosy setting makes you feel like youre in village inn in Korea. The Dol Sot Bibimbap had great flavor and remained hot during the entire meal. All meals also came with the typical side dishes like kimchi. Highly recommend if you want some great food PERIODT.
Great small Korean Restaurant. The food is fresh and plentiful. The sides are a terrific compliment to your dinner. Fish and seafood selections are tastey. Beef and other meat selections are fresh. And the flavor of each dish very nice. Service is also attentive. It could be tough to eat here at prime time due to the limited tables as it is a small restaurant. But it is worth the wait. The bulidng itself is old and in need of some repair and the interior also is in need of some repair and maintenance. But dont let that stop you from this terrific food experience.
They are in business for a long time and the restaurant can get very busy. If you are in a rush, call ahead to check seating. The place is no thrill, but the dishes are great and prices considered friendly. More importantly, the staff are fluent in both Korean and English. Perhaps the servers are young, everything is efficient.
This is my new go to for Korean after Arirang permanently closed. The prices are reasonable and the portions are big enough to share. The food is absolutely delicious!
Loved it super clean, cozzy, nice and quick service. The food was delicious 😋 no doubt best restaurant Ive ever been to.
Food didnt taste fresh, the meat was dry and flavorless and the rice had a hint of burn taste to it. I forget the name but it was steamed dumplings and it also didnt taste fresh, it tasted like it came in a pre-made package and they just steamed it. My brother loves any type of food and for him to spit it out is enough to know its not good. I wont be coming back, hope they do better.
Excellent food! Quick, snappy service. Will definitely be back
We wanted to enjoy Korean food for our last day in Tampa since we had to drive 7-8 hours back to our home in Georgia, but the service was not good. I ordered Gal Bi and a salad and my partner ordered 3 different dishes. My partner received his food fairly quickly, around 15-20 minutes but I waited over an hour just to not eat as it seems like the server didnt put my order in (except for the salad). After not eating much over the weekend, I was excited to try the Gal Bi and was starving but I just never ate because they just forgot my order. Also, given the fact that we do have to drive a long way to get back home, it was frustrating to wait for that long for food that never came and we didnt have time to wait for them to make the good for us since we we didnt want to get home super late.
Been to Sarione a few times now and every time it’s been great. The menu is a little overwhelming, so usually we kind of pick and choose stuff that seems recognizable and then some more adventurous stuff. The soups are awesome, and the Bo Ssam is also very good (and interactive/shareable!). Portions have always been enough for 3-4 people per dish, except the lunchbox meal, of course. Service is great, too. Totally go hear and be adventurous.
Excellent service, amazing food and great atmosphere. First time going and will definitely be back!
If the food was as bad as the service Id rate it 2 stars. The food is decent, its as authentic as youll get for Korean food in Tampa. Most uncultured people would enjoy the food. Lots of seasoning, drenched in sweet sauces, and over cooked meats. Ive been here a few times and have been saving my review hoping the service would change but they remain the same. Rude and quick. So if you want decent food, especially meats, and you dont care about service then this is the place for you. Most meals are over $10 here. Expect to pay $$ Ill still come because I enjoy Korean bbq, but my expectations will always remain very very low.
The dumplings were a must have. The food was delicious. The waitresses were pleasant & helpful.
Yummmmmmm! Where have you been all my life!!!? So many options- love that they have ready to-go boxes and huge containers of all kinds of kimchi!! Staff is friendly and helpful.
Excellent service and wonderful Korean food. Sa Ri One prepared for me spicy Bul go ki pork. The flavors were delicious and the portions were very large. I always enjoy Korean side dishes and they don’t disappoint. Great creative selection including hot peppers. I am aware of the minor faux pas, but I wanted to pair this with unfiltered Nigori sake. Great combo. Highly recommend!!
AMAZING authentic Korean food. The bibimbap is so tasty, full of sweet beef, savory vegetables and crunchy rice. Service was spot on as well. Will definitely come back next time I am in the area!
Authentic Korean food! Great atmosphere. Reasonably priced and worth every penny! We will definitely be returning soon.
Hole-in-the-wall, authentic, Korean food. My husband and I have never had a bad experience here, whether just the two of us or the whole family. Generous portion sizes for the price. Everything comes out fresh and steaming hot! And if youre lucky enough to have room after your meal, definitely order the fried ice cream for dessert!
The absolute worse service I’ve ever had in my life. The waitress walked off on me mid sentence 3 times and did the same to the party next to me.I couldn’t even order my entree because she stormed off, frustrated because I dared to ask about a menu item.I didn’t get to try the dumplings I ordered because I walked out. Went to “One Family Korean Restaurant” on Hillsborough instead, the food was amazing and they actually know how to treat their patrons.
Always wonderful service and great filling food. I enjoyed their tofu lunch box with plenty of wonderfully light fried tofu slices. Other Korean places have less tofu options, this place has plenty! 🤩
This is the BEST Korean restaurant Ive been to in Tampa!! Our Korean friends recommended this place to us because it has the most authentic Korean food in town. The food is truly amazing and the portions are hugeee!! Service is a tiny bit slow because they are always so busy but still great otherwise. The best jjiajangmyeon Ive had in my life!
Overall solid korean food. My only issue was the bossam, It was very dry. However it’s presentation was absolutely gorgeous! I had the soon da bo pork, it was bland and so hot I couldn’t eat it. I spent a good 20min storing it to cool it down. The pork and chicken bulgolgi was the star of the show here. Sweet but not overly so, spicy but not lingering spice. All in all I would come back just for the pork bulgolgi
Being military and spending 2 years in Korea, food was okay, place was nice, a lot bigger than it looks and service was great. Kimchi definitely could use some work from what I am used to from Seoul 🇰🇷
Great food.. Awsome staff.. Defiantly a place to try if your unfamiliar with Korean food
Best beef bbq you can have. The soup was great as well. When I arrived it felt like a small restaurant. However it is definitely not small. The appetizers were common but not less tasty. It was mouth watering. I was there for a bowl of soup but eneded up eating plenty of both the soup and the BBQ. Its indeed a great tasting BBQ I have tasted in a long time. The seafood soup had all the octopus shrimp and oysters. And white part of the egg was delicious. Definitely recommend.
Tried this place for the first time for my birthday, and it was great! We had a really good time, food was wonderful. Definitely going back.
If you are looking for an authentic Korean restaurant in Tampa, this is it. The food was amazing, and the restaurant itself was small and cozy. I ordered the Dolsot Bulgogi Bibimbap and my wife ordered the Chicken Katsu, and we were both very happy with the taste and presentation. Dont settle for commercialized imitations of Korean food, this is the place to get the real deal.
Delicious foods and great service and friendly. I go there just to relax and eat with my friends when I need to get away from my kids ☺️
My Daughter, Son-in-law & Grandkids took Me for My Birthday Dinner & I have to say, Ive frequented a many fancy variety of dining places. They were very impressive, exquisite, authentic & @ the top of the list of My favorites. Best Korean food ever, a must try 4 sure 😋😍
Amazing—the most authentic Korean food Ive had since visiting Daegu!
Well.. there was a line.. good sine I hoped.. as I walked to the weird back room I realized no bueno.. but.. roll the dice.. as the waitresses rolled her eyes. So in short.. flies..impatient staff. Food. Boooo.. mold from Ac..no soap in mens room ..yukk
Native Korean reviewThe restaurant itself is to be expected for a traditional Korean restaurant.Staff was pretty nice and the food came out relatively quickly (especially given that we were a party of 8 people).I was really excited about coming here as the reviews were great and I hadn’t had Korean food in a while (it’s comfort food for me). Most of the dishes (esp the Ukejang) were pretty good but my Bibin Nengmyun (spicy cold noodles) and my friend’s Nengmyun (cold noodle soup) was rather off in flavor.
Been here for lunch many times. Always good. The lunch boxes are in my opinion the best bang for your buck. A lot of food for an average lunch price. I love the staff even though some of them i can hardly understand, doesn’t take away from there overall kindness and service. If you are ever in tampa m-f and in the mood for Korean stop by and try any if the lunch boxes.
The waitresses were extremely attentive and the food was amazing! We really enjoyed the beef bulgogi and the japchae, the prices were extremely reasonable as well. We loved eating here and we will come back again!
I have been coming to this restaurant since 1991 . I lived in Korea for one year. The food at this restaurant is as good as the one in Korea. Excellent job 👏
The closest thing you will ever get to true Korean cuisine. Amazing. 5 stars.
Absolutely delicious food, and quite a lot , so go hungry! Great service!
Went in today for the first time. gal bi pork and beef short ribs. they brought out gal bi beef but it was my first time and everything was drenched in sauce and overcooked so i couldnt tell what it was. i asked for them to fix the price and the waitress just gave me a dollar instead for my trouble. no refills. got order taken 15 minutes after being seated. and the dumplings were nasty. was looking forward to coming for the first time after hearing so many people liked it. never going back.
Love the food !! But dont go doing the lunch hour !
The food is fantastic and the team there is wonderful. Well be coming back often!
First time in Tampa, had this for dinner two days in a row, that’s how good this restaurant is!
Wait staff was so kind!! the food was so good as well! felt very authentic and btw the portions are very very large
Great food. Everything that we ordered tasted amazing, we ordered a couple of different dishes, all of them where great.Highly recommend it.They have great customer service.
Food was really good. A lot of authentic Korean food to try on the menu.
Maybe I went on a bad night or maybe I ordered the wrong dishes because everyone seems to love this place, but I found the food to be mediocre at best. The best dishes were the fermented sides. Literally everything else except the rice was overly greasy and hard to eat. There are three stars for presentation and experience but the food was not enjoyable.
This one is better than the other one on Hillsborough. Their sea food soup and grilled fish is delicious.
Very good Korean food. Kimchee is really good.
Good food and service. Were from LA, so was just glad we found some Korean food out there.
The best K food in town!
The food and service was great. we got the Hot stone bowls or something like that. Next time we are getting the BBQ spare ribs, I looked over to the table next to us and the BBQ plates looked big enough for 2 people.
Absolutely rude service. The only reason this place gets four stars is due to it’s fantastic food. However, if the food would have been like the service I would give this place 0-1 star.I would recommend getting the seafood pancake. We also had a seafood spicy dish (In sorry I cannot recall the name.) It all was so yummy !However, the service is terrible.Seriously awful.Be warned that the waitresses are extremely rude.Only the food is good.
Food was delicious, food was brought fast and fresh, would recommend coming here for some good Korean food.
Great selection of traditional Korean food. Also it is all delicious! We will be back for more soon.
Doesnt look like much from the outside--in fact, I wasnt sure if it was open--but the food more than makes up for the building. The Bul Go Ki Chicken was amazing, if milder than I expected. They warned be twice that it was spicy, so I suspect the chef held back a little. The Kim Chi was relatively mild as well, so if you dont like things too hot, then this is the place to try Korean cuisine. Friendly, attentive service and lighting-fast food.
I loved this hole in a wall restaurant BUT...Came here with my wife and a 9 year old. Ordered buckwheat noodle, porkneck bone soup, bimbimpbap and galbi. I thought the $23 galbi was little stiff and unfortunately its one of few dish that my child will eat that is Korean. We asked about maybe a smaller portions for her or even a lunch bento box but geez, this place has rules and they dont bend at all.So ordered 4 items for 3 people. Into our meal, I asked about getting 3 more side dishes but they only would offer 2 for free but would charge for the third. I travel to many I mean many Korean restaurants but I have never heard of this! All of our food was good and service was great too but I probably wont return to this one because of this few things.I spent $68 before tip for 2 adults and a child to eat dinner and I dont need to be told they will charge me for additional side dishes when I already ordered for 4 people already.
