Love their drink - tried lemongrass drink, sour plum drink and their milk tea!! Try them all. Fish cake so so. 5 stars for the cashier who is full of smiles even when we came just for drinks (maybe it is why we drank so many cups 😆). The wanton Mee is nice, if you are trying to fill your stomach don’t order regular unless you are getting other stuff. The Thai pork sausage is quite interesting - a bit sour on the inside.
Would be a good snack/supper/light dinner place once Upper Thomson mrt is up as it is just beside. Noodle is really good even without the black sauce, springy and fresh and tasty and would recommend without sauce to enjoy it. meat could have been more, ordered the jumbo version at 6.50. the sausage i found a bit questionable as it didnt have much meat and seems to be more fat/paste (see pic). environment- tables are clean, maybe as not so busy at this time. aircon seems to be off, but its fine as there are fans, although it was 7pm so not so hot
Nice simple old school wanton noodles with lard. The noodles at the Upper Thomson Road branch is 50c more than the noodles at AMK Ave 5 branch. However, the Upper Thomson branch is a shop on its own with air con, more choices of food, and drinks like Thai milk tea and lemongrass drink, thus the slight premium.
Real taste of street food in Bangkok, wanton mee got the authentic taste of Bangkok , the Thai pig trotter rice with egg taste super good because of a very balance taste of five spice and the correct ratio of fat and lean meat. The Thai fish sausage is deep fry yet not oily, a snack that will pair well with beer. The Thai ice milk tea is silky and smooth yet with a very distinct tea flavor. 👍🙏
Love this Thai style wanton mee. I find the regular bowl too small. Hence I typically like to order the jumbo black sauce version that comes with the Thai sausage. The jumbo bowl is good for 2 person. Do try their chilli which is super spicy but I love it. I never get tired of eating this at least once a month after 1 year plus.
Love this type of wanton mee and have been going back a few times to their different branches. This branch has quite a lot of seats and although I came during hot afternoon, it still felt cool inside the building. The jumbo wanton mee is good for someone with big appetite like me. If you love sweet things, you may go with the black sauce. Otherwise, keep to original. Deep fried pork belly is crunchy and good as side dishes.Came here a few times and theres always no or only short queue which is good.
Generous amount of ingredients. The fish sausage was really tasty and crispy.
I like this place better than the noodles around. Theres more flavor. The typical noodle in Singapore is flat tasting. The additiok of sausages etc makes this taste so nice
We all love the Thai style wanton mee. Their curry mee too is great. Thai tea too.
Unplanned visit to this outlet after a hike at MacRitchie. The quality of their dishes doesn’t differ from outlet to outlet, and prices are relatively reasonable. There are definitely more variety here than some other outlets though.Huge crowds during lunch hours but there were certainly sufficient seats given the fast turnaround of customers.
「SG」Not being able to travel to Thailand? Fret not, here’s a place to satisfy that Thai Wanton Noodle cravings of yours!🇹🇭-[Original Thai Wanton Mee]: $4.50Closest you ever get to the authentic Soi 19 in Bangkok without having to travel! The taste isn’t as good as the one in bkk but definitely a good substitute. The noodles are flavourful and springy & served together with juicy char siew, fried wanton and fried lard. Pair it with their pig trotters and you’ll be having the oink oink of your life! 🍜😋👍🏻-[Sweet Intestine]: $6Definitely a must try if you’re a fan of innards!!
Decent Thai Wanton mee fix when you can’t fly to Thailand. Price is slightly expensive but hey, they pack it with ingredients. Fair enough.Staff were efficient and courteous.Minus 1 star for the wanton soup on the side being lukewarm and wanton seemed rather soggy like it’s been prepared for sometime, but overall I’d still be back for more...Room for improvement. Keep it up. 👍🏼
Great wantan noodles! Springy noodles, plus fragrant bits of sausages, char siew and pork lard added with crunchy caixin veggies and spring onions made the bowl of noodles very delicious indeed. 5 stars for the wantan mee! Also ordered the curry yong tau foo and crispy tofu. Those 2 dishee were okay. Would give them 3.5 to 4 stars. Not bad but nothing spectacular. All in all good dining experience. The drinks are too expensive though.
The food served is not very hot and the place is very warm too. The air con is like non existent. Service is bad too. The staffs there dont allocate seats to you and they just stand by the counter like an ornament. For a first timer at this place, I did not know what to do also. During peak period like weekend lunch, they should at least try to ask people to queue up and separate those who are going to takeaway. So messy. At least the Thai pork rice is good. But will never come back.
Not the brand of the famous soi19 in BKK but taste is close enough
My go to place for thai wanton mee
Pretty great Thai wanton mee though a little too oily. Side dishes we ordered were also a little underwhelming :(
Great food! Must try for both original and black sauce versions!
Had the medium wanton mee for 5.50 (+30 cents for takeaway inc soup). The fish sausage was interesting and sweet. A good portion of noodles and meat. Reasonably priced for this portion.
It’s quite enjoyable if you have craving for wanton mee. Don’t expect to be blown away and it’s fine. Noodles cooked well, sides are decent and food come fast. I would really give it 3.5 stars tbh.
Food was not bad for the price. (no gst and svc charge) Nothing to complain on it for the price point. But would have appreciated more selection on the menu to include more thai options.
Food is nice. Highly recommended to try the wanton mee.
The noodles are springy and the fried pork lard was da bomb.
Very nice Thai WTM. V generous portion - Jumbo is really jumbo
Usually eat at Kovan branch but it was closed today so headed to the Thomson one.L size wanton mee with fish sausage, char siew, veg and wantons - consistent with other outlets.Curry rice which is exclusive to thomson outlet - so so, with A LOT of rice and average amount of toppings.Pork sausage - salty and vinegar-y taste, served with chicken rice chilli sauce which wasnt the best combination. Would give it a miss and go straight for the fish sausage or fried pork instead.Veg was the same as the veg given in the wanton mee. Mine was served with a short strand of hair but did not make a fuss about it because already eat half of it.
Noodles nice, but felt that its a little over priced for that small serving portion.. 2 wanton in soup 1 fried wanton- fair. Few small cuts of charsiew😱 and a few pieces of vegetables???!! Maybe this branch franchise out, standard different.
Wantan noodles taste good but very small portion. The lady cashier needs training in customer service.
The most lousiest place, food and service that i had spent my money here!! Like throw money down the drain is even better than use here! Thumb down!! 👎👎👎
Their braised pork knuckle with rice is fairly authentic! 80% as good as the ones I had in Bangkok. Their raw garlic, down to their chili flakes. Would be even better if they had more chili condiment varieties to experiment pairing the dish with. Thai chicken rice is interesting - chicken is a bit dry, but the yellow skin shows it is a different breed that roams wild? It tastes a bit gamier than farmed chickens for sure, and goes very well with the sauce too. The rice is plain white rice. Their thai wanton mee, on the other hand, is fairly pedestrian.
Tried their fried pineapple rice, Thai railroad fried rice, fried omelette and Thai milk tea for lunch. Food is so so only and no wok hei. Worse than those road side fried rice that we have tried in BKK. Milk tea so diluted. Looking forward to try their wanton noodles. Hopefully is gd.
Prompt service, very flavourful wanton noodles. Would come back again.
Curry cutlet rice, you got to love it
Consistently good with authentic Thai flavours and noodle texture! Certainly will pass any blind tasting test with flying colours.A big meal here will likely boost my cholesterol levels, but life is too short to miss this!
Taste wise is good. But the cashier never respect customers order. When I say never, it means never. Visited countless times there as we stay nearby, when we request every single time “no garlic, less noodle/rice, no pickles” , the cashier even double confirm our request, yet they still give exact same thing with garlic , same amount of noodle, pickles. It is quite irritating sometimes especially now we can only Tabao, come home with all the unwanted taste mixed inside the noodle. I would give a one star rating for customer service. When we could dine in previously , we would ask for a RE make of our order. It has become obvious to us that it is not a careless mistake, is they don’t even bother to inform kitchen, because When we ordered our food recently, it was not a busy period And we got our food really fast...:
Food: the noodle is not bad, the pork sausage is not good, and I like the filling of the wanton but this is like the only place where I feel like there is too much meat as compared to the skin.Service: self service, its ok.Price: its a fair price for a supper place I guessoverall Im rating it down as to me this will be something I dont mind eating if Im near and want wanton noodle, but I wont come here just to eat this.
The curry noodle is light, not too much of coconut! It taste like Malaysia style curry. The wantoon noodle was good too!
Plain noodles with pork lard with base of very faint sauce seasoning so the noodles is mainly on the side of sauceless and for light tastebud. Regular is a small bowl suitable for light eating. Soup is good, feels like a lot ikan bilis with pork in it. Milk tea is good for people who doesnt like the authentic high sugar Thai milk tea. No aircon but well ventilated with fans. Price is $4.50 per regular bowl.
Fantastic wonton noodle and fried pork!
The last time I went, staff were quarrelling. One of the staff has attitude problem. Wasnt a pleasant time.
They recently have this decent yong tau fu. Which is good
There is a sign stating very spicy in the chilli flakes, I took cautious and put a spoon worth using the spoon provided. Out of curiosity I put another spoonful. Little did I known that the innocent looking chilli actually packs a one punch man punch. Soon I was sweating and order 3 cups of the thai milk tea. Later in the day, I am feeling a little burn on my rear
Ordered SGD 28.20 worth of take away food. Asked for 3 more packet of chilli flakes for take away food. Was rejected by them. Can someone enlighten me ? Why?
Pretty decent, dapaoed the wanton mee n still nice after 20min
Reasonable price, food was not bad. Tried the curry rice which was big in portion and taste was rather good. Generous serving of Thai fish sausage. My bf tried the wanton noodles which were delicious, must try their black sauce option. Overall value for money.
Food is great and the staffs are polite. Place is clean and tidy.
The Wanton mee taste great
Came here for lunch. Ordered 2x wantan Mee, fish cakes, fried chicken wings, and a plate of vegetables. All these dishes are their recommded dishes. But all dishes are very salty. Yes, all!Very disappointed. We had tried the 2 stops away wantan need and their side dishes. So much better instead.
Their Thai wanton mee is really soft and tender. Great food and a must try if youre nearby.
Delicious and very affordable. We tried the original large noodle. Its enough for two person. All that I ordered is yummy!
Food is ok but the service is getting slower n slower. See less staff working
Order Wanton Noodles (original) + pork sausage + lettuce + ice milk tea. Both sides were indicated as recommended on tthe menu but the taste was average. The seasoning on wanton noodles (original) is just nice, not too much. One can add the very spicy chilli flakes to give it more punch which has the spiciness level slightly below chilli padi.
Really tasty Thai style wanton noodles, although some say is similar to penang style wanton noodles. Nonetheless, its still very flavourful. The size variations means u get more ingredients and not necessarily more noodles which is perfect if you are afraid the portion might be too big for you. Go for the most expensive one, the ingredients include slices of fried Chinese sausage, fried wantons, amongst a variety of other bits which makes the bowl so enjoyable. The deep fried lard bits add fragrance to the whole bowl and dont forget to sprinkle some green chilli in to complete the picture and give the bowl an extra zing.
I ordered 2 food from this store I was served and thought it was piping hot. So I waited awhile when I had the 1st bite it was cold rice was cold curry was cold potato was also cold. Disappointed.
Not a very welcoming approach from the staff right at the entrance. Food was average, side dish was overly oily, only taste of oil rather than taste of food
The first time I had it wasnt so good. Gave it a try the second time and its pretty good! I prefer the black version.
Food was normalservice is bad
Why bother to eat here if your staff make no effort in preparing hot food for people. I was served COLD pig trotters and asked the staff if it is meant served cold and she just walk away without any reply. So rude! She came back to me saying she will prepare a NEW SET FOR ME but ended up she ONLY heat up the same set of food. So, I clarified again if this dish is meant to be served cold, she replied should be served warm. WOW!I doesnt recommend this place to anyone. Staff with attitude and you can get better Wanton Mee elsewhere.
I like it without chilli which is I fact its Thai style wanton noodle. The fired chicken wing also good
The taste now has gotten worse since I last visited. You guys really need to maintain the standard across the branches man.
Tasty and value for money Thai wanton mee! remember to try out the fried pork!
Really pretty decent wanton noodles especially for supper. Have a variety of iother items too other than just wanton noodles. Can recommend.
Love their Thai wanton mee... Best fixed whenever I missed Bangkok food
My comfort food at all times! One of the best wanton mee stores (in my opinion) in Singapore. The taste of the noodles is on point, the condiments (chili flakes and green chili), as well as the ‘liao’ - charsiew, sausage and lard. Soi19 has many stalls and shops so please feel free to try it out with an open mind! Taking one star away only because the person at the cashier was kind of ranting while she communicated with the kitchen crew.
Nice anf unique noodle
Food portion was so small for the price. Taste is not great. No need to go
