Weve had better Italian food at Central and East restaurants and definitely regretted dining at la nonna. This dining experience straight up sucked for us and obviously not worth the $180 bill.Also, how does this place feel like home? Just because its been in HV for a long time or the name suggests it? Our waitress (upstairs) was super unfriendly. We were there in the early evening with literally 2 other couples at other tables. She greeted us, took our orders in a flat tone. Okay, we arent the royal family right? but at least say your thank you(s) which we were not stingy with. Under her mask and body language, we could easily tell that she was very impatient because we took about 30 secs to decide between Mac & cheese or lagsana. Hmm okay 🤷🏻‍♀️Dont bother with this place. Easily one of my regrets

Would give 6 stars if this option was available. Lovely Italian restaurant in Holland Village that serves hearty Italian fare. There’s a real home-cooked feel to the food and everything was delicious. The pasta with crab sauce was really quite exquisite. Friendly service. Highly recommended.

Great food at an affordable price especially their 1 for 1 lunch.Tried their seafood aglio olio and smoked salmon pizza on this occasion which were delicious.Been here numerous times and have enjoyed each time I’ve been here. Be sure to make a reservation or come early to secure yourself a place !

The good:Pretty impressed with the pesto spinach pasta, which was bursting with umami flavours (esp. the olives). A must order imo. The La Nonna pizza was great too even though we had trouble finishing it among the three of us. They’re both great for sharing.The bad:The calamari was a disappointment. Batter was too hard and unseasoned. The arabbiata sauce was boring too. I’d skip that. Also, I like that the bread basket is warm but the olive oil dip really needs more work.They have a 1 for 1 lunch promo which looks good. Might try that the next time.

Definitely one of the best places at Holland Village - with some superb preps of Pasta and Pizza. I would go for the pasta any time. And you can always customize them to make them vegetarian. Just ask. We took chicken out from the Spinach Fettuccine and it tasted so good. And really good service by the people.

They’re suuuuper generous with the cheese they give so this is DEFINITELY for those cheese lovers 🥰 tomatoes tasted really fresh and overall, a nice experience. price wise $22 - i think it’s reasonable ! i was also given free bread (roughly 4 pcs)

Came here for lunch. If you are in need of some great Italian food, this is a place to visit. The food was very flavourful and portion was just nice. They served some warm rolls with olive oil & balsamic as starters. The ambience was also great.Will return again.

It’s signature pizza La Nonna was fabulous, the Carnaroli Risotto with Saffron served with King Scallops & caviar was equally delicious.

The 1-1 mains deal for mon-sat is awesome!Love the meat lovers pizza and the crust is good! The risotto tastes luscious. 😌Several tables ordered the calamari and we’ll be back for that too! 😝

La Nonna ranks high as one of our favourite dine-in spots in Holland Village. Theyre usually packed on weekends, reservations def recommended. The restaurants interior is cozy, casual. Ordered their: Meat lovers pizza, Oven-baked cod, Pan-seared lamb rack & Manzo before rounding up the meal with tiramisu. Decent drinking housepours at happy hour prices too. As always, their food does not disappoint.

Lovely restaurant with good food. The service staffs are very attentive. The food portion is good even we are using entertainer offer. And the waiter allow us to order happy hour drinks even we are few minutes late. Thumbs up for such hospitality.

This review is long overdue. I have been visiting La Nonna since 2015 and recently more often. I love love LOVE the food (especially the truffle pizza) and i order that everytime without fail. The service is also the best, Erica especially who I recognise everytime I dine there!! I bring everyone here and theyve all got nothing but good things to say about the food, drinks, and service :) (It tastes better than my pictures look)

We went there during weekend dinner and opted for La Nonna pizza ($24.90), crab pasta ($26), gnocchi in four cheeses ($25) and pesto pasta ($25). It was one for one on entertainers and the food was more than enough for all of us! Would recommend the pizza which pairs well with the truffle paste and the crab pasta. The other top dishes were not very palatable. They also has a free bread basket with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and happy hour from 5-8pm. Overall quick service, we had seats within 15 mins without reservation but would recommend getting it!

I guess it’s true they say you can judge an Italian restaurant by the bread they serve - the ones here tasted kinda like those you get from chain store bakeries :/Food here were all generally okay, though they lacked depth in their flavour (sauce for the beef, tomato pasta sauce) - The kind of depth/richness you get from stewing something for a long time.Aracini was pleasant but tad underwhelming, didn’t taste like the ones I had in Rome. I liked the beef for being really tender.Plus side is that the service was awesome, makes you feel welcome and comfortable.

Not bad. Had the lamb rack which was great. But the mash potatoes were bland. Overall, with the amex discount, definitely worth a visit.

Delicious and tasty authentic Italian food. Thin crust truffle pizza is really flavourful. Crab pasta was filled with generous serving of crab meat. Ambience is relaxing and clean. Waitresses have good services. A little bit too much olive oil for my preference in the pizza though, if not everything is food. Price is a little exp but with the entertainer app it’s very worth it.

I’m a night owl that only falls asleep at 6amLa Nonna’s 1-for-1 offer starts from 11:30am to 2pm.The carbonara and garlic bread here are so good that I am willing to give up my sleep in order to devour it.When it’s 4am and I’m having cravings for carbonara, I try to astral project myself back to the the first bite I took at La Nonna then become sad as its not real life. Made a reservation on chope one week before dining in on a Friday night! Chill ambience & definitely a good place to have a catch up with friends! Would say that the food here is slightly pricey but it is definitely nice🤩Carbonara base (lobster ravioli) was rich & flavourful at the same time not too heavy. The ravioli itself was really delicious as well!For the crab linguine, we could taste the crab in the tomato base crab linguine which was a rly good complement and balance 👍🏻The pizza (la nonna signature) portion was huge too & would definitely be sufficient to be shared among 4 if you’re ordering other dishes as well.Really appreciated the fact that there was an option to switch the pasta to different bases available (tomato, ariabatta, carbonara, aglio olio) too!Would definitely come back again to try more food during their weekday lunch 1-1 in future!

Chanced upon La Nonnas lunch time 1 for 1 deal and did a take-out. The La Nonna pizza (truffle paste) is delicious and the deal needless to say is awesome value! Dont think its possible to find a proper thin crust at these prices. Staff who took my order was really friendly as well.Pizza a firm 4 stars, top marks for staff friendliness n lunch deal value.

Had a complementary bread bowl (one extremely hard while the other was soft and chewy) with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Bread was served warmRisotto with saffron and king scallops: a pleasant and lightly seasoned dish. Pity it was served colder than I would have liked. Scallops were very well seared. Would recommend this dish to be shared since it can be ‘jelak’.Arrabbiata lobster ravioli: tasted like chilli crab sauce, slightly sweet. The ravioli was disappointing because it felt like pawn paste instead. Perhaps I’ve not have enough ravioli, but I expected the lobster filling to be slightly flakey than like paste. My wife and I went there a couple of times for dinner and or lunch pre and during covid. We decided to try their weekday lunch set and it didnt disappoint.As usual they have their complimentary breadsticks with balsamic vinegar and olive oil which is good too.I enjoyed the set lunch but I would prefer their menu items specifically their signature pizza - the la nonna pizza.We typically go there for their lunch 1 for 1 special on the weekdays but we see it has been extended to the sat as well.Been there a handful of times before and will go there again.

Pizzas were kind of a let down; crust was undercooked, cheese was dry and generally the flavours didnt go well together. The burrata was not too bad. The cream and crab pasta was average at best. The pesto chicken pasta was the redeeming factor for the meal, made with fresh pasta, flavourful pesto and the sun-dried tomatoes gave it good kick.Service was good and prompt.

Great place to dine at for tasty meals. We tried the crab meat linguine, lobster ravioli in arrabiatia sauce, lemon and strawberry sorbetto... the food tasted just right. They also provided a serving of bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar once the food orders were placed.The amount of spiciness in the arrabiata was just right and the amount of sauce is just right such that by the time you finish the the ravioli, the bowl is also clean. The restaurant can get pretty crowded during peak hours, so best to make reservations if possible.There are a number of car parks within a short walking distance around and this place is easily accessible via the MRT (Holland Village Station).

We were just wandering about the HV streets and came across “La Nonna”. Who doesnt love a good Italian treat, and yes we were hungry. So we decided and knocked on their doors. We were seated downstairs and the restaurant had a cozy, nice vibe.Without wasting much time we ordered for Bruschetta (came in three varieties), Diavola, and Calzone (Folded Pizza). The food was really good, another good Italian place to look forward to. I would especially emphasize the pizza, as it was very fresh and easy on the mouth + stomach 😋 (I am seldom impressed by pizzas). Later we got some beer to quench our thirst and Tiramisu for desserts (what better way to end the day).Overall a great place and highly recommended 👍🏻. Next time need to get outdoor seating upstairs.

Neutral about this place.Came slightly before lunchtime and waiter told me he wants the table back within an hour. Quite abrupt I would say.. and didn’t feel welcoming of course, since the whole restaurant was empty at that time.Water was served promptly but didn’t appreciate the waiter’s fingers touching the mouth of the glass. Felt a bit unhygienic.Felt a bit funny because pasta was served in a deep ramen bowl. Taste wise it was average at best. Not a lot of crabmeat also but acceptable for price.The breads tasted stale and too hard. In a cheap and untasty way. Like some other reviewer said they felt like factory made ones instead of authentic Italian ones.Waitress indoors was prompt with service and very nimble. Minimised a lot of waiting time.Was a place that friends wanted to visit, but not sure how much would I be willing to return for a second visit. With 1 for 1 even, the food taste isn’t that memorable also. Waitress service made up for the experience there.Edited: pizza tasted quite cloying after awhile.

Burrata & Parma dish was so good! The wood oven baked thin crusted La Nonna’s signature pizza was perfect. Would love to be back to try their pastas.

Had a nice relaxing dinner in this Italian place. The crab linguine was one of the nicest I’ve had. Doesn’t make you feel it’s way too creamy or too heavy. Had truffle pizza as well which is their signature. Missed the chance to have their other signature pizza so I will be back. Check out their Instagram page for the dishes most people would order when here! Parking is at chin bee garden as the existing carpark was closed for upgrading. Definitely coming back!

Service staff are extremely friendly and accommodating! I was slightly late for their 1 for 1 promo pickup, and yet they were very nice about it. Love the La Nonna pizza, their risotto, the ribeye steak and the lasagne. You wont ever regret eating here!

Good ambience with delicious thin crust pizza. And they serve in good quantity. But compared to other Italian outlets, toppings were less for the price. The pizza felt little plain and bland. We had ordered mushroom spaghetti pasta which was creamy and rich. Overall we liked the taste, but there could have been more options given the expensive place.

Their 1 for 1 lunch deals are so good, Im almost reluctant to share this. We ordered 1 truffle pasta, 1 lobster ravioli, 1 crab meat pasta and 1 La Nonna pizza and it only came to $68. Great value for money!

Comfortable setting and nice ambience, just felt that the tables were placed too near each other. Fresh handmade pasta, however felt that the dough to filling ratio was rather imbalance as the flavour of filling was lacking. The mac & cheese was addictive with all the cheese and tomato! Regretted not getting their lasagna as it might have been a better choice compared to the ravioli.

The food is good with a wide range of appetisers and mains. The pasta and pizza are delicious. They have quite a number of pasta dishes. Service is very good. In particular, Roma and Atiqah are very friendly and helpful. This is our favourite Italian place. They also have good promos.

Very good value for money with the lunch one for one. We loved everything we ordered. The Nonna pizza was crispy thin and with a generous serving of truffle, salmon pizza was good too. Linguine and lasagna came in generous portions and were suitably creamy but not too overpowering. Would go back again, especially with the lunch one for one promotion.

La Nonna is a good value place to go especially for lunch when they offer 1-for-1 deal! Their main courses are rustic and hearty offering a good array of pastas and pizzas and would definitely please even the most demanding taste buds. I especially love their Squid ink pasta! Booked a table for lunch the day before given the 4.2 rating. First impression was rather disappointing as the decor looks old and dated. Was given a table next to a passage to upstairs so requested a change. Was brusquely told no chang is possible. So we changed to Cha Cha Cha next door….

The steak was nice but the lamb chops were too gamey and tough. Burrata cheese is always good in all Italian restaurants and no exception here.

The restaurant served generous portion such that we 5 ladies shared 2 pizza and 2 pasta and there was yet leftover.It wasn’t my first time here but I still enjoyed the same old goodies - crab meat pasta in tomato cream sauce and risotto allo zafferano.The truffle aroma from La Nonna signature pizza was satisfying.Adding on to our finale delights were the Tiramisu and Panna Cotta.With the 1-for-1 mains promotion available during our lunchtime visit, I could also put it in the “value-for-money” bucket. Without it, one is probably paying for the quality.

Good pizzas, tho a tad thicker than what I normally expect of Italian pizzas. I like that they serve free bread before your meals and their pizzas are big (12) so youre bound to leave this place with a full belly.

A bit disappointed about the experience.Service was ok, ambiance was ok, food was not ok. Ordered their signature pizza and a Quattro Formaggi gnocchi- everything tasted like their truffle paste, I could not taste anything else. The very oily Pizza had a raw egg in the middle, which was not highlighted when ordering. Gnocchi only tasted like truffle, I could not even taste 2 cheeses.Shame, as the place has potential. At least it was cheap.

We ordered 2 pizzas, 1 calzone & 1 appetiser.All four of us were totally disappointed. Wanted to give 1 star. Gave another star for the not bad ambience and friendly staffs.As a pizza lover, I find Pizzahut and Dominos as “no choice but quick fix” pizza.And La Nonna pizza is quite near that. Great pizzas! The La Nonna pizza is so delicious! We also had the crabmeat linguine in tomato cream sauce, which was ok... Pretty tasty but the sauce is a little too watery. Good place to visit in a group (huge savings if you use the Entertainer App!!) or for a date. They have both indoors and outdoors seating.

Ordered the truffle pizza and crab meat linguine. both were amazing and i really enjoyed the dishes! they were a bit pricey but there was a 1-for-1 lunch deal, which was great for my wallet. will definitely recommend dining at this place.

Ordered the signature la nonna pizza and the saffron risotto. We went during the 1 for 1 period, so it was very affordable. The pizza was big and tastes good. The risotto had big scallops and a decent amount of caviar. There was a hard later on top of the risotto, which seemed like it had been made earlier and then reheated. Will come again, but probably order something else.

Midscale Italian eatery in Holland Village that serves a wide variety of Italian dishes. The focus tends to be on ingredient play but the food comes across as heavy and uninspired frequently, especially for the $20+ price you pay for each plate. Service is decent but they could use a better system to ensure diners are not left unwatched

The quality of food is average, orders the burrata cheese, lamb ribs and spaghetti with cream sauce. The burrata cheese a little too hard by standard, asked for medium cooked lamb chops but come too raw like a medium ray.. so have to bring back to cook. First ever eat the spaghetti with cream sauce like a soup noodle as it is too watery! Ordered to wine but waiter forgot to serve till I asked, the food we ordered was taken down wrongly too... waiter not so attentive but the price to pay for serve a 3 Stars. Else it would only 2 stars as the service and food are not that good .

We had the squid ink pizza. Really appreciate the special order without cheese due to allergies. The papardelle was fantastic. While the food was good the pasta presentation could be improved. Ordered a bottle of barolo which was a nice complement to the meal. Bread was served before the start of the meal.

We absolutely loved the ambiance, complimentary bread, and traditional wood fire oven pizza. Their pizzas are just so so sooooo yummmmm! However, the lobster ravioli just wasnt up to the mark, and hence it reflects in the overall rating.

Ordered the parmigiana and a spaghetti carbonara for take away. Had to wait 15min even tho I ordered in advance. Taste wise was ok, but carbonara was lumpy and swimming in oil?? Not at all rich or creamy. Parmigiana was acceptable. Aubergines were uneven thickness, some were crunchy some were soft. But worst of all we discovered a fully burnt, completely black and bitter layer at the bottom. Multiple pieces of aubergine had completely blackened skin. What a disaster.

Free bread before a meal? In SINGAPORE? Unheard of. Great pizza and pasta at a reasonable price for the quality. Would recommend to anyone in the Holland Village area. The rocket/parma ham pizza is great.

Came here for their weekday lunch 1-for-1 main course promo. Though food was served fast, they werent piping hot. We recommend the lemon tart as we found it to be rather well done - served warm and moist, and not overly sourly. Note that dining at la nonna midday in the alfresco section may become a little unpleasant, especially on warm days.

The linguine al granchio pasta was really yummy and had lots of crabmeat bits :) the la nonna pizza had an overwhelming smell of truffle so if you love truffle, I believe you would enjoy this. Left me feeling a lil nauseous unfortunately but its really personal preference. Friends really enjoyed the pizza!
