You know its a good coffee place, if theres a line outside at 3.30pm on a Wednesday eveningStopped here to get drip coffee, after hearing so many great things about this placeI live in the neighborhood and have tried, vif, cafe vita and fresh flours for coffee. Most of my friends recommended the placeThe coffee is definitely on the darker side, which I really liked. But two of three times Ive stopped to get drip coffee, either its stale or lukewarmA small is 2.50$ before taxes and a medium is about 3.03$ after taxes
This coffee is amazing! I go out of my way for it whenever possible. Right now, you cant go inside and there is typically a line, which can be kinda cold to wait in. If its sunny, theres a nice outdoor seating area. They could do a better job of asking what people want in line and getting it started before getting to the window to pay. Always friendly though.
High quality coffee beans are freshly roasted on location. I havent tried many roasts, but the espresso blend is a bit on the darker side.
The chocolaty dark roast here has spoiled the experience of coffee anywhere else. We buy our beans here and the coffee we can make at home is pretty good- but somehow when they pull the shots, its even better.Even though you can order beans online the place is worth a visit- they have a wonderful garden where you can enjoy the coffee. Someday when we can go back indoors, they always have an interesting art show to add to the convivial atmosphere.
Great latte. Like desert. Great roaster. My go-to for whole beans. Nice people too.
Cool little coffee roaster shop. The roasting is done right there and the staff will help you pick your beans. Very friendly and helpful staff and great coffee. They have a few accessories and souvenirs and plenty of counter space if you’re going to hang out and enjoy your brew. The smell is amazing!
I cannot describe to you how great Lighthouse is. Probably the best iced latte in Seattle…I’m not even exaggerating. Definitely give it a try if you’re in the area!
Unquestionably the BEST coffee... period! They roast their own beans on-site, have so many different authentic styles and flavors, where are ALL fantastic! I consider myself a bit of a coffee aficionado, I always search out the best roasters everywhere I go, and nothing compares to Lighthouse! All their roasts are EXTREMELY rich and flavorful, you wont find any weak coffee here - but the beauty is that its not just the strength but that it is FULL of awesome flavor, and each variety has its own distinct taste. The baristas knowledge of the different flavors of the beans is fantastic - you can tell them what theyre looking for and theyll guide you in the right direction, or even tell you which have turned out the best that day. If youre nearby come in for a drink and grab some beans to take home - but if youre not, their website sells LOTS of different varieties that they ship out ASAP after roasting. Its all SO fresh and flavorful - absolute BEST coffee beans Ive had anywhere!
My boyfriend and I come here very often for a tasty beverage. He buys beans from here all the time (never disappointed) and loves their cortados and lattes. I cant have espresso, but I enjoy their chai lattes hot or iced. Its the people working here who really make it a 5-star experience. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and chatty with the regulars. They have treats for dogs, which is great because I love seeing cute dogs while Im waiting in line. Outdoor seating is very peaceful. Lines can get long, but who doesnt need an excuse to get outside for a bit?
Quick service and solid coffee. My sister got a chai latte, and I got a drip.Weve also tried their beans. Also very good!
I travel frequently and always try to visit a neighborhood coffee shop when I do, chasing the ever elusive perfect cup of coffee. When I walked up to Lighthouse I was immediately intrigued by a line of more than 10 people waiting to order coffee at 1:00 pm on a Wednesday. Lines for coffee are a good sign. Lines for coffee in the middle of the day on a Wednesday are very very good sign.I typically go for a pour over or a cappuccino, but while waiting in line (it moved quickly) I overheard customer after customer ordering the Mocha. So, when in Rome......I ordered the Mocha and upon taking the first sip I was blown away. It was in fact a perfect latte. I’m always cautious about saying anything is the best I’ve ever had, but this Mocha was in fact the best Mocha I’ve ever had.So jealous of everyone with Lighthouse Roasters in their backyard. I can’t wait until I get the chance to come back and try more of the menu.
Fabulous! Love the place and have been going there since 2013.What makes it so great is that it has the bean roasting happening right on-site which perfumes the air of the shop with a wonderful coffee scent. There is adequate seating inside and service is quick. They make excellent roasts, the dark roasts are a favorite choice when I go. They make an excellent chai latte as well with the perfect amount of spice to it.One area that is less featured but nonetheless quite good are their baked goods. These are fresh and worth getting one while there. The carrot muffin is very good. They could do a better job of featuring the baked good display as it is not very prominent and if better displayed might sell more of.So great! Well worth a visit and ideally repeat visits.
Great neighborhood spot with good coffee and friendly faces
Local shipping is super fast. My coffee usually arrives within two days of ordering. I have never been to the store but I definitely will next time Im in the neighborhood! Highly recommend their beans.
Great coffee. Wouldve been better if they had seating
I make a point to come here every time Im in town. Its my favorite coffee shop... maybe in the world.
Great tastes and smells
I got their drip coffee today and it tasted very stale/bland. Ive heard good things but the drip wasnt worth it to go out of my way.
My favorite coffee in Seattle, they are the beans I use at home and I love grabbing a cup of coffee every time I grab a bag of beans!
Lives up to the hype! Quick, friendly service and delicious coffee, roasted fresh! Definitely going to make regular stops here on the way home from work to get my beans.
One of the Best Roasters in Seattle, staffed with excellent Barristas...If you want an excellent coffee experience...put this on your list
Excellent coffee from a cute little vintage roaster in Fremont, they make a killer latte
I skip starbucks came here instead I was surprised hands down the best latte ☕👌
Love the roast at Lighthouse. I buy all my beans here
The coffee is perfect. I am very selective when it comes to coffee so the lighthouse roasters definitely meet my expectations.
I accomplished more in 45 minutes than I have in 6 months after drinking a latte from Lighthouse. I think thats all that needs to be said about how great their coffee is.
Really nice coffee spot! Baristas are super friendly, definitely will come back!
This great corner coffee shop is out of my way but I’m never sorry when I swing by. I appreciate the welcoming non-snobby atmosphere as much as the diverse and friendly staff. Their coffee is top notch, and if you are looking for a quality decaf, theirs is superior. Great art on the walls and tasty pastries are bonuses.
My favorite coffee in Seattle. We have been going out of our way to get here for almost two years because they consistently make the most delicious lattes with the best customer service.
I tried a cup of their holiday blend (which I believe was a blend of Ethiopian) brewed coffee. The blend was too dark and the coffee was burnt. My friend tried their decaf latte and she liked it a lot. I did like their outside sitting environment.
Picked up a couple pounds of beans on a whim, noticing it nearby and well reviewed. This coffee is delicious, it passes thru the mill without creating tons of static, and has a delightful aroma. Going back for sure!
I’m not from the area, but wanted some good coffee. Found this place and saw the reviews were good. This place definitely has good coffee. Their Vanilla Latte, Caramel Macchiato, and Cold Brew with Vanilla were fantastic.
Over roasted yirgicheffe coffee was sold to me. I am a first time online customer purchasing three of the ethiopian varieties. The yirgicheffe, the ethiopian blend and the mocca java. These are supposed to be a fruit forward coffee, more acidity, it should be a light roast. The yirgicheffe beans I actually received were over roasted, with that tell tale glossy oil sheen. They did not taste as a yirgicheffe should. I am very upset.Order number SNIP-17452
Really love this place. The people. The COFFEE! Really kept me going during quarantine this year. Thanks Lighthouse!
Lighthouse is fantastic as ever! Picked up 2 amazing Americanos and had a nice walk around the block to Fremont Peak Park for views over Ballard, Magnolia, the cut, and the Sound. Gorgeous coffee and views!
Discovered Lighthouse 20 years ago when my brother in-law was living in Fremont. Loved both the baked products and the spectacular dark roast coffee. Was disappointed though that they weren’t able or interested in shipping beans at that time. On a whim I revisited their website a couple years ago and was thrilled to see they do now ship!!! Been a loyal mail order fan here in Boston ever since.
One of the best places to grab coffee in the city. Many other shops use their beans. Great to get it right from the source.
Best coffee in Seattle, I was seriously impressed. I will be coming back when Im in the area. They have perfected Balance in making a cup of coffee.
Great coffee. I am exceedingly picky about my coffee, this is consistently good, freshly roasted, and only moderately expensive. You can pay elsewhere considerably more for coffee that isnt this amazingly good.
Excellent espresso, and I appreciate the barista skills with almond milk. Not an easy task, and they execute 100% every time!!! I’m always excited to come here!!
Lived right down the street from this coffee shop for three years. Best coffee and staff in town. Miss it so much!
Lighthouse Roasters exceeded my expectations. I had to go back and get a second macchiato! It was so good!
Real coffee! The baristas are very professional and always happy. Thank you so much lighthouse! I get the roasters choice ground fine for my pour overs! So much flavor!!
Freshly roasted coffee. Decent coffee. Was expecting much better
Efficient and friendly staff. They powered through the line and were able to get me my pound of Sumatra beans that I cant wait to brew in the morning.
Delicious coffee. Served safely for both customer and employees.
My only wish is that I could give Lighthouse more stars. Spoke to Craig on the phone about getting some beans shipped and he went way above and beyond for me. Excellent coffee. Ill be a returning customer.
Delicious coffee. I recommend taking a stroll over to nearby Fremont Peak Park to enjoy your beverage with a view.
Best coffee in Seattle. Im always excited when I need to pick up beans and can get an Americano too.
If you are looking for a great coffee this is the best place.
The brew is some of the best I have had. And the ambiance is also spectacular.
Just down the road from my house. I love the coffee here so much! I have lived in this city my entire life, and was a barista for 8 years and i think lighthouse has the best coffee in the city. Everyone is nice and not pretentious and its just great all around.
Good cold brew
Their coffee is the best tasting in Seattle! This location roasts the beans on the floor, so seating is limited. Definitely worth going out of your way to get to, or a few places around town serve their beans (Cafe Solstice in the U District is one)
Great coffee Roasters choice or lighthouse blend are my favorite!
Long lines are worth it here. I love the coffee.
First of all, excellent coffee—the most important criterion. Second of all, unpretentious and efficient but friendly. Finally, great neighborhood hangout spot. Altogether, one of my favorite Seattle coffee shops. They roast and grind their own beans so they get to control their flavor profile and make it like they want it. Truly local, love this place!
Great coffee. We go every day. Lattes are well crafted and delicious.
Excellent coffee from a local neighborhood roaster. Also carry delicious baked goods. My mocha is always fantastic.
Favorite place to get beans in town. Primo!
Delicious coffee! They roast their own beans which you can smell as youre approaching their shop. Friendly staff, nice vibe. Buy some beans to take home and make your own. Would also be a great gift.
Meh, nothing special. Tastes like Mac cofee
Lighthouse Roasters is my favorite place for espresso in Seattle. I used to have my own espresso operation in Lake City from 91-94.Lighthouse staff if fast and friendly. The coffee is excellent. Its not chic - just an awesome place for great coffee. Consistently - my favorite shots in the Emerald City.I remember Lighthouse before they moved to 43rd St.Any time I go to Seattle, I take my friends there.Micro roaster awesomeness...
Greatness comes in many shapes and sizes, and this roaster is big on flavor. Lighthouse is my favorite of all coffee shops in Seattle. Come on in and join the family!
Best damn coffee in Seattle. We pick up a pound of coffee to take with us everywhere. (Took two bags on our trip to SE Asia). Baristas are all consistent in their coffee skills.
When friends come to Seattle and ask about coffee, we point them to Lighthouse. Hands down the best roasts weve ever encountered, over several decades of escalating expectations. :-)
Very good coffee and they did a good job of adjusting to covid
Glad theyre open for drinks again! Thanks you guys please stay safe
Best coffee house in Seattle
Came for a Nudge promo, fantastic flat white
I recommend this place if you want a nice cup of coffee and something to eat.Best coffee, best service. Great coffees, smoothies and delicious cakes and pastries.
This is the best latte you can get in town. A great atmosphere with the coffee roasting equipment on view, simple decor makes the space welcoming and comfortable for work, meetings, a quick stop in or a long stay watching through the windows and reading a book.
Best cafe in Seattle. Best macchiato in town perfect milk to espresso to foam ratio. Only $3 not a penny more including tax. Delicious flavor, fast service even with crowds and long lines, friendly baristas who remember hundreds of names and drinks and community members.
Amazing coffee and maybe the best latte Ive ever had! Pretty great almond croissant and scones too. Wonder if they make there own?! Would definitely go back if Im ever in the area.
Great variety of coffee and tea. This place gets pretty busyn and for good reason!
Besides the Metro Meth pipes coming through the neighborhood this place is fantastic. Never being a coffee person has helped me critique my taste buds to the flavor of that smell. Positive energy your way.
I actually have never paid for a cup of coffee here i deliver the beans and they tip us in free coffee. that being said the coffee is great. the atmosphere is lovely.its like a mom and pop starbucks. very cozy. i just wish i could enjoy the scenery
Any time we are in the Seattle area we have to stop here. They make the very best espresso Ive had in my life. Its a neat location too, with a decent amount of seating. Weve tried their baked goods on occasion and everything was top notch!
Superb coffee and conviviality!Perhaps the best coffee in Seattle; andthe staff are as good as the coffee.
I am confident that this is one of the best coffee shops in Seattle, their espresso is incredibly well balanced and expertly pulled. I also really like being in the same room as the coffee roaster, it opens the barrier hat normally exists between the bean roasting and the espresso machines which feels really nice and also fills the building with the fantastic smell of freshly roasted coffee
Ive been drinking Lighthouse coffee every since they opened and I always come back. Consistent delicious and love the vibe of their shop. So amazingly good to see that some things never change, excellence at Lighthouse. Keep up the wonderful.Bailey/Puako Hawaii
Neighborhood coffee roasters. Very good latte. Crowded on a Sunday morning. I had a good muffin too.
Outstanding espresso! ☕ Intimate, fun space. The smell of the beans roasting is so delicious!
