I celebrated my nomination yesterday in this great restaurant. happy to tell that we passed a fabulous evening and the restaurant was unquestionably one of the reasons for that happy event. The waiters cooperated in a sweet manner, the food was tasty and my buddies were extremely pleased. We shall definitely return for more events. thanks very much.

This place is no doubt one of the most pleasant place to eat in the area. Always when I visit this place I am exceedingly happy. They always keep their high level service and the topmost level of meals they offer. You no doubt will love this place. Warmly recommended.

Owners and workers are always friendly!!! Portion sizes are huge and they make sure you have everything you need before you leave. We always ask for less salt, no msg, and less oil and they make the accommodations. Cant wait to revisit when were in the area and allowed to (aka after lockdown and other restrictions are lifted). Theyve been around for decades for a reason!

The rice wasn’t good this time around, but the chilli chicken was great as always.

Came with a group of 20 after a hike that ended at Kennedy Station, and found this place nearby. We got in a little before 2:45 PM, and there were already a few tables occupied, but we managed to get everyone seated. There was only one person working out front, but she let us to move tables around to accommodate the group.Restaurant is clean and spacious. Washroom is clean. Decor includes large fans hanging on the wall along with some portraits.Forks and napkins are provided. Spoons, knives, and chopsticks can be requested, though they gave me a pair of disposable chopsticks rather than the re-usable ones.They have two jars of chili sauce available on the side. You should definitely try them.The menu is extensive, with a lot of different dishes to choose from.They also have lunch specials on weekdays from noon to 3 PM, as well as daily specials listed on the wall.Four of us decided to go with Dinner Combo for 4, which came withChoice of Spring Rolls or Hot & Sour SoupGarlic ShrimpBoneless Chili ChickenManchurian Mixed Chow MeinBeef with Snow PeasEgg Fried RiceIce CreamSpring rolls came up first. Usually when I get spring rolls, its usually a small cylindrical roll. However, this one was large and rectangular, with a thin crispy skin and lots of vegetables inside.The rest of the dishes start coming in shortly. They all came in fairly large plates/bowls, suitable for 4 people. We all had a chance to try a nice portion of each dish. Chili chicken was nice and tender, drenched in flavorful chili sauce. They add spices to each dish, so the flavors were definitely interesting.One issue is water refills. Because there was only one wait-staff, refills dont come unless you ask yourself. But this is not really a problem if you dont require waiters to check up on you every few minutes to see if youre doing alright.They dont offer ice cream on the menu, but the set combo comes with two scoops of vanilla ice cream, which is a nice way to finish the meal.Would recommend this place if youre around Kennedy station and looking for some indian-style hakka chinese food.

Food quantity is good. Quality not. If you are ordering any meat dishes there is whole bunch of veggies but meat ratio is very very less. The Chinese old guy who is usually there who wears glasses and is behind the counter is plain cold in attitude. Just your typical strip mall Chinese Hakka Halal restaurant on Eglinton Ave near Kennedy Subway Station.

Food is not good at all. Taste terrible and regarding the price it’s not worth it. Don’t recommend this restaurant.

Food here is excellent. You get a lot of food for the price you pay. The staff are efficient and very friendly. The room is comfortable. The area is also very clean. I come here often, and I enjoy dining here. I would recommend this to everyone.

The food is AWESOME! and for cheap... whaaaaat? This place is a steal. Good food, quality products, and also fast service. Did i mention good food? This is a must try! You need to eat here at least once to understand.

They mess up orders. I asked for chicken manchurian fried rice and a pop can. They dumped chilli sauce with regular chicken in my fried rice and missed pop can. They tied plastic bag and I didnt check it until I have reached home :(

Ive been coming here for more than 15 years. This place is a hidden gem. You cannot find anything like their chilli chicken anywhere. It is the perfect level of crispiness paired with an excellent gravy in a generous portion.

The place and staff didnt seem too welcoming. I always leave my final judgment to how the fried rice taste, and it wasnt that pleasant. Chung Moi restaurant across the street is far superior and better priced

I like this place. Compared to many other Hakka Chinese food places, this is a neat little restaurant and mostly of the food tastes very homely. By the way, Hakka Chinese is also called or Indian Chinese cuisine. This is the adaptation of Chinese seasoning and cooking techniques to Indian tastes through a larger offering of vegetarian dishes. The Desi Chinese cuisine is said to have been developed by the small Chinese community that has lived in Kolkata for over a century. Today, Chinese food is an integral part of the Indian culinary scene. It is also enjoyed by Indian and Chinese communities in North America.

Been coming here since i was a child. honestly there is NOTHING like their crispy beef. their chicken hakka chow mein is also delicioso. and as many others have said, the serving sizes are HUGE. def my fave hakka joint in the GTA!

Kinda average but cheap place to eat if you are on a budget.Have tried the chili chicken, shrimp fried rice & Good Luck Special Fried Rice.A little bit out of our normal path, this resto is located near Kennedy and Eglinton. 2432 Eglinton Ave East.Their value of portioning to price paid is good.Service is friendly enough.Would likely make return visits if we happen to be in the area.

Not that popular but 5 star quality, try mixing shrimp fried rice with chili beef, so good! 😊

I have visited it first time. Their Singaporean noodles are sooo crazily delicious. And they give you huge amount in reasonable prices.

Great service and food, has been mine and my girlfriends favourite restaurant for at least 5 years. Tonight there was a mixup with the order but the server/manager rectified it happily! First mistake ever in the last 5 years weve been coming here. Something to think about.

Food isnt the best... there are other places better... Ive been a regular customer at this place for years... ever since a few years ago the service is horrible.. even though i mostly do take out I cant help but point out how angry the guy at the counter always... hes got bad attitude any day and at any time... u think being a regular there for over 7 years theyd know what I like by now.The angry grump basically gave me a dirty look when I asked for their chilli sauce. He basically took my carry out bag out of my hands took out a different sauce he put it there and dumped my bag on the counter.... absolutely disgusting...This place was much better wit the previous management....

Horrible service！When I went into the restaurant, the servicer(looks like 40＋ years old) saw me, but meant to ignore me and walked leisurely to another table. Even I asked him can I order now, he walked into kitchen slowly in front of me without any words！I wont come here any more and will tell my friends not to waste money here

I used to be a regular at this restaurant years ago and when I decided to go back I was shocked to see that they had moved the restaurant over to a bigger place and not a single person was inside the restaurant. I guess that was a big hint to not dine there. Huge turn off and bad impression. We left even though this place is far from home.

This is my go to spot when Im in the area. Ive been going for years. I order the same thing every time I go and the works know my face now and they are always nice and helpful. Love, love, love the food.

One of the best Hakka restaurant in Scarborough. Chilli chicken and corn soup are highly recommended. Especially for the lunch special you will be getting both with a pop for under $7.

I dont understand why anyone goes to mediocre Federicks for Hakka food when this place exists. Their Hakka food is WAY better than the other popular Hakka places in Scarborough and Markham. I have been coming here for over 20 years and it is still one of my favourite secret hole-in-the-wall places to eat in the GTA.

Their choice of name for the restaurant may spark quite alot of sarcastic remarks BUT the proof is in their cooking.We ordered takeout and asked for extra spicy.Upon arrival at home, we unpacked the food and began our meal.Firstly, their takeout portions are huge !!!! They literally pack the takeout containers till they are bulging at the sides !!! And, they actually made the food extra hot as requested. We ordered chilli beef dry, chicken pakora, veg fried rice, singapore rice noodles, and hot and sour soup. Everything is great !!!They are our new go to hakka restaurant.

Ive been coming to this restaurant for years... ever since they were in the old unit. It was an amazing place with great savoury flavours. Now... this is my 4th time in there new location and quite frankly the quality of food is gone down the capper.

Been going here for over 8 years, when they were a couple doors down. The food is in my opinion one of the best Chinese food restaurants in Toronto; and easily the best hakka Chinese food. My signature go-to is the mixed Hakka chow mein (mixed meaning it has chicken, beef and shrimp), mixed fried rice and the chilli chicken. I literally order all 3 of these because hey, leftovers. The portions are huge so you may very likely have leftovers. Now if anyone working there is reading this please bring in any delivery service; JustEat, UberEATS, skip the dishes, and/or foodora to name a few.

We live very close to this restaurant and have been going since 10 years. We do mostly take out. Food is good, we like mostly chicken chilli, pakoras, cantonese chowmein and manchurian items.

Wow. Ive been coming here for ten years. There is an incredibly rude server there, an older man (Eli?).

Very average food, pretty medicore service. Only advantage is the price (about $2-3 cheaper than similar Hakka restaurants in Scarborough).

Once you eat the chicken pakora your life will change forever.
