Very good food. I ordered the special fried rice and the Special Jerk Chicken Chow mien. The service was courteous and prompt. It was busy and I waited 15 min for my order but that was ok. I usually order from Carribean wave for fried rice. I never had a problem with their food until today. My family decided to order mixed vegetables, shrimp fried rice, and two orders of vegetable friend rice. My brother in law went to go pick up the food and waited longer than usual for the food order. He brought the food home and to our surprise, there was medium length black straight hairs in our shrimp fried rice and mixed vegetables. My brother in law went to go return the order. The restaurant staff refused to refund the full order, stating that their manager/owner did not want to return it. They provided no valid reason to not refunding the food especially since the food was contaminated with hair and its during covid times. The refund was was processed in full after multiple contentious communications. The owner even used profanity towards my sister because he didnt want to return $20 food to long time customers. I suggest based on their behaviour today and refusal to refund contaminated food that no one should order food from them, there are many better options in Scarborough. Im still shocked by the lack of hospitality that we recieved today especially since we were long time customers.

I got the wave wings and pepper shrimp. Thought the wave wings would have some sauce but they were just plain which was disappointing. They said it was spicy but it wasnt. They were just plain no seasoning nothing. Pepper shrimp was okay for pepper shrimp but other places are far better if ur looking for pepper shrimp. Their portion size was decent though.

The food is always of high qualtity, the attitude towards the clients is helpful. I go often to this restaurant and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend this place.

We traveled all the way from Burlington for this grub and it was off the chain! Although we came in after the curries and roti were done for the day, we still had some great late-dinner eats in a family-friendly dining atmosphere.Fried rice was seasoned well and not too salty or oily. Jerk chicken + Chinese fusion dishes is such a great combination. Their Lo Mein was great texture (not too soft) and flavour.In addition to their fusion, they also had great chicken wings. Kids loved the honey garlic, and the adults thoroughly enjoyed the spicy Wave chicken wings.Lastly, very affordable price point.Will definitely return next time Im in the Meadowdale area.

We arrived late so we werent able to order any curry or ox tail (that part of the kitchen closes at 8pm).We got Carribean wave fried rice, jerk pork chow mein, wave wings, honey garlic wings, shrimp Chow Mein and sweet and sour chicken.Would definitely recommend the wings and the sweet and sour chicken. Theyre were saucy, flavourful, moist and yet still crispy.The jerk meat was flavourful, but the sauce on the chow mein was a bit on the saltier side. (I prefer less salt in my food so this may be a personal preference and not so much the restaurants flavour profile)We were 4 adults and 5 young kids coming in 1.5 hes before closing. They definitely werent expecting us to dine in, but they were absolutely wonderful and accommodating. There was a steady stream of pick up orders while we were there.Must try if youre in the area

Good food i love it but some time some food are not avilable

Ordered food from here about a week ago. Their portions are below expectation and one dish was just unacceptable. Ordered a szechuan beef and there were literally 5 tiny pieces of beef and an overload of onions and peppers. Called the restaurant and extended the manager/owner courtesy where they agreed and said it was unacceptable. Sent them the pictures and ave them q whole week to respond.. never heard back. Will not be going back here as there are other restaurants that offer the same menu and exceed expectations in taste, quality & quantity.

Omg so good!!! Had the goat curry with roti and oxtail with dhalpuri. Both were so freaking delicious! Highly recommend Caribbean Wave. The food is always good. Im Guyanese, and can tell you that the variety of dishes they serve is great. Definitely try the curry duck or the jerk chicken with chow mein! Also the atmosphere is very chill.

I mean. Im not going to sit and say they are the top of Caribbean meals. They do have dishes that your traditional Caribbean-Chinese may not have like phlourie/roti etc. But the food is just subpar. A little on the expensive side and far from my house so I dont order from them often.

I found hair in the food, I went to return the food and they refused to return the money. I finally got my money back after arguing the manager. Who is the most disrespectful man there is and doesnt know a thing about customer service.

I didnt want to go this far as posting a bad review & pic of my experience with this restaurant. I tried reasoning with the owner of the restaurant to no avail. I bought an order of food from this restaurant on April 25th 2021. I ordered 2 caribbean wave fried rice and 1 caribbean wave low mein and 2 large orders of curry chicken. This food was for a birthday dinner for my son. I picked up the food and brought it home and opened it. Right away the putrid smell of rotten cheese emanated from the curry but there was an over powering smell of masala mixed with it. I saw right away that the curry displayed a whitish foam on top. I thought maybe the food was just hot and thus that is where the foam came from. I fed the family the food, as the taste did not seem bad and of course the smell of masala I thought maybe they used a different type of curry. End result, the next day my whole family experienced vomiting and diarrhea for 2 days ( food poisoning). I contacted the restaurant the very next day and spoke with the owner Krish, who asked me to send a pic that I had taken of the food. I did so and his response to me was that he was sorry and that he would not have fed that food to a dog as he noticed that it looked rotten. He began to go on that he did acknowledge that the food did come from his restaurant but that he didnt know why it was spoiled ( because supposedly the curry came from a fresh pot) and served to his customers from someone in his kitchen. I asked for a refund which he tried to compensate me with fresh curry or whatever I wanted which I advised him that I was not interested in eating any food from his restaurant ever again. After bout 20 mins standing in his restaurant and listening to him trying to defend (and then denying) the reason of me receiving the rotten food, he tried to reason with me over the refund and ended up refunding me only for the cost of the rotten curry $25.00 + tax = &27.00 ( I paid $69.00 for all the food in total ). I sent him a text basically explaining that as a restaurant owner who is supposed to value his customers and provide FRESH & EDIBLE FOOD, he refused to respond. So I have no other choice but to write this review. I just want people to be aware of where you purchase food to consume as I clearly have learned my lesson. My next call is to the Health Dept.**UPDATE**So as I can see the manager / owner of the restaurant needs to lie to keep up his charade of serving DIRTY ROTTEN food. Yessss BOSS, continue to serve food that makes ppl sick. I made the mistake of NOT reading the reviews before purchasing and if I had read the reviews I would have realized how your establishment operates. Regardless I will not go back and forth with you. You served me food that made my whole family sick and you refuse to take responsibility, definitely shows who you are as a person. People, BEWARE OF WHO YOU BUY FOOD FROM !! This RESTAURANT is a prime example that you cannot eat from any and everywhere !!**ANOTHER UPDATE RESPONSE**You can stop with your BS about food being left out. Recently, my wife and I went to Caribbean Wave to order food and I got her to go in to make the order and pick it up. The food, which is usually good, was lacklustre and didn’t really have any flavour. So I went in to the restaurant to request some hot sauce packets. The owner gave me a hard time- first, he said I had gotten the hot sauce already (however, there was none in the bag, which is the reason why I went inside to ask for some); then he explained that they usually charge 5 cents for the hot sauce. I was willing to pay but he ended up giving it anyway. Being lectured for 5 cents’ worth of hot sauce- after spending over $30 on food that was lacking flavour- is completely unreasonable and also disappointing, especially in light of the fact that we made a decision to patronize this local business during the pandemic. Ironically enough, my wife had noted that the young woman who took our order had given her excellent service, only to be followed-up with the disappointing service I received when asking for hot sauce in an effort to improve the bland food. We will think twice about returning in the future.

This place has great food at a grear price, with good good variety. The wave wings is a must try. However i walked in with a group of 7 friends just after 11pm and was told we couldnt be seated and it was only take out only. This was very disappointing, as a owner i would want all the business possible, idk if this was a staff decision or an actual rule but we were very upset.
