Great place shop for grocery always clean! They gave alot of fresh produce & meats! Deli has fresh beautiful meat ready to slice to your hearts desire! Great place!

I went in on a Saturday and Roxanne was timely, kind and caring. I even forgot a bag and it she was able to find me as I was exiting. I have always shopped here and will continue to do so after today. Thank you Roxanne!

Clean. Produce and meat is exceptional. Meat dept customer service is amazing. Only complaint the cashier needs to know what she is doing. If you give her extra change to make eg. $5 she refuses to do it. Cashiers need to know how to give change not just from the cash register. Need to know how to hire Cashier please.Sad the store does not match store flyers.

Very clean, organized and tidy store. They do have a wide selection of products you may not find at no frills or the superstore. The staff is friendly for the most part. I enjoy their hot soup and the lunch products. However the metro stores are all very over priced. I only go here when something is on sale or if I need a quick dinner.

This store usually runs like a well oiled machine but ever since covid, they havent figured it out it seems. Nice looking store after the renovations. I go here for sale items as regular price is so steep here. But ever since covid, the lineups have been brutal. Last time I was there for instance, one cashier open. Shopped for 10 minutes, waited in line for 20. They have someone counting people at the front door, which isnt needed if they relocated here to the cash register, then there wouldnt be many in the store. Or hire more people. Two easy solutions. Ill go elsewhere next time until they figure it out.2/5.

This location seems to get better with time. Definitely investing capital in improvements over the recent years. Produce the star but you get what you pay for. Deals to be had via their app with Airmiles combined to help save by preloading coupons etc. Very clean as well and friendly staff a plenty.

Fully stocked deli and meat counter. Great in store bakery. A++++

Love shopping here. There is always a great variety of fresh produce and great cuts of meat. The staff are always so helpful and friendly. It make the shopping experience pleasant. I would highly recommend shopping there even if u just need to run in and grab a quick something.

Recently the meat has been very bad. dont buy anything on sale. porkchops made my family sick. Oranges also went moldy within 3 days from the inside out? Very strange

Management needs to review Covid protocol for the Deli department. I think they also need at 2 staff members at all times at least in this department.While waiting for the busy young man at the deli to finish up with the customer before me they started calling on the speakers for deli to a phone call, this happened a few times. When he finished with the lady he took the phone call but unfortunately he didn’t remove his gloves, he then had to get a pen to take an order and still same old gloves. When he was ready to help me he didn’t change his gloves and I had to ASK him to do it!!! He wasn’t happy about it and didn’t ask if I wanted anything else.Please review your glove use policy ASAP! Gloves don’t mean your hands are clean, it’s the opposite.

Metro is the best has the best food and everything else there.

Its not such a nightmare now that they have to self checkouts.Normally I wouldnt use them because we all know we are being replaced by machines, but if they werent there the one covid cashier is close to being overwhelmed

Metro is a great store for all of your grocery needs, everything is placed in easy to find isles, and compared to other stores it just makes sense, they also have a great bakery if that’s what you’re into.

I shop at metro frequently, its a good store with decent prices, friendly staff and they always have what i need and its semi-close to home for me

Their isles are not as organized, so searching for something could take a while, their prices are expensive.

I was in the store for 3 times as I am not from Sarnia. Each time picked up only a few snacks. I couldnt believe the line up waiting to be checked out. All the way around the store. Someone in front of me asked for the manager to find out why so slow. She and other employee then stood in front of checkouts to direct traffic. To pick my items it took 2 min. to check out 14 min.

Selection was good with the exception of a couple of sale items that were sold out. Fruit and vegetable displays were well stocked and meat selection was pretty good. Check out was quick and cashier very friendly.Will shop here again.

Such a clean grocery store. One of my favourite places to shop. The ready made food is amazing and the daily specials are always a steal. A bit more expensive than some other grocery stores but is worth the price in my experience.

Better than a fast food place! Meal options at the deli are plentiful and delicious. (Try the loaded potato cupcake) meat station has stuffed peppers and portabellos, and meat roll ups buy groceries and a meal that done in 20 or less. Also Conveniently located, with lots of great selections! More expensive than basics- greater and fresher selections IMHO

Good selection for the size of store but definately a bit on the pricey side for most lower volume items.

I like this store. Location is central city.Store is clean and staff are typically friendly and courteous. Good spot for fresh produce and meat. Prepared meals are tasty for lunch or even for dinner.Not five stars as prices are pretty high here, some prices for same products at other stores are grossly overpriced. Their sales are usually pretty good and worth checking out.I buy fresh products here and typically other stuff elsewhere.

Normally Im not the sort to rave over a corp store but this Metro has the nicest people working there! I make a point to go there. The bakery goods are delicious and the staff in the meat department have been truly helpful on many occasions. Its also a place without self checkouts and I really appreciate that.

Great grocery store one of my favorites in town not only because its central location but because of its wonderful quality of meat and produce. Also there Irresistible line of food is GREAT 🤗 well as far as the couple things that I have tried ! No Butcher in store tho in case your wondering

There deli is fresh and that is a plus , but to do your grocery shopping here , is silly . Their prices are outrageous . I am very routine with my diet and for some reason every time I go shopping there , my bill in the end is always $30 to $50 more expensive then Food Basics , Walmart, or Superstore. I recommend , if you do go to this metro check Giant Tiger next door , they have a good selection of food at a much more reasonable price .

The store and staff are great. The security dude has no idea what going on, about people leaving and people going in. The lineup was alot longer because of him.

I do find Metro to be better that Superstore. Less business .. better cuts of meat. And the most extensive selection of Organic Chicken. The staff are nicer too .. but the cashiers can be slow

Although some pricing is higher than average, I was quite surprised to find certain products to be less costly than anywhere else in Sarnia. Further, they carry a very decent gluten free and vegetarian selection, some items are not even carried elsewhere, also surprising to me.Being new to the area and very close to this Metro, I stopped in more out of curiosity but continued to shop at other, less costly places. However, once discovering not only unique selection but also the lower pricing, it definitely offsets overall shopping. Along with being a smaller, more convenient store and good customer service, I do now stop in here regularly for specific products.I gave 4 stars though because still too many items are way, way too overpriced, even if on sale. A nice store in general.

When I walk in the door, the first thing I do is look to see if Smiley /Angie is working in the deli. Every shop should have an employee this good. And I love their sausage rolls. Their friging huge and cheap!

Metro is like Krogers in the States. Neat place to shop at. We had to take a break from the States go Canada to remember may younger years growing up in Park Hill Ontario. Felt good to go back in Canada..

On the coldest day of the winter so far the store was staffed and the shelves were stocked. Most importantly it was clean! No soggy mess at the entrance to content with.

Well laid out just did not have what I was looking for and given I was there late there was little staff to help

Today I was shopping at Metro, seen a couple browsing at the meat section with a small shizsu dog in the gentlemans arms. Reported to a metro worker. I believe in service dogs but not holding the dog over meat & picking and choosing the perfect pack. The worker said he cant do anything because it was a service dog. If you wish to have dog hair on your meat keep shopping at Metro they seem not to care for the other customers. Service dogs should be on the floor & not over the meat section.
