Overall great service and great food.It’s an great restaurant to go, affordable and it’s bring your own wine.The place is clean and the food is delicious.The staff is courteous and ready to help when needed. Bathrooms are clean.I would recommend this restaurant anytime, either for lunch or supper.

Very nice decor, great service, bring your own wine WARM bread... Food however was aweful. Its nearly impossible to mess up a pizza, but the Americano pizza was one of the worst Ive tasted. The soup of the day (onion soup) tasted alright on the first bite but started getting worse with every other bite. The salmon tartar was tasteless. Maybe I got unlucky and just picked the wrong items, but my girlfriend also didnt like her food..

Ordered take out gluten free pizza so my son who is celiac can enjoy pizza along with us. Highly disappointed....pizza barely 6 in diameter costed 27$ !!!!! Rice flour is not that expensive. Prefer oggi gf pizza at 9.99 over this...And fries were cold and soggy. ...sick and tired of companies taking advantage of people with celiac. Its not a choice..

I’d rather go eat in Ethiopia, you will need blood pressure pills for the amount of salt in the food. Terrible service , endlessly waiting for food and was disgusting and served cold. The dishes do not make sense. Over priced garbage with rude staff. If you don’t wanna be spoken to or be seen try a different profession if you don’t wanna be in the restaurant business. There isn’t a single meal out of all the food we have ordered that was worth it for the price and quality. Save ur money go to McDonald’s with the coupons. You’ll be happy with Ronald McDonald.

Such good food. Dont go if youre on a tight budget but if youre looking for delicious food, I highly recommend this place! Staff is always in great mood, plus its a bring your own wine place. Perfect!

Menu wasnt as extensive as I would have liked it to be. Waitress was very nice but the service overall was VERY slow. Food was good.

Its pretty good for what it is... One sure-fire way by which I judge a restaurant that uses the word Italian in describing its operations is ordering a simple pasta and tomato sauce meal the first couple of times. I look for the telltale taste of citric acid used as a preservative in food and drink, which tells me that the sauce as a whole came out of a can (and, at times, even which company’s can). It is easy to hide things in a more complicated meal, but when it comes down to your basics – your sauce and your pasta, you can’t hide. Most such restaurants don’t pass muster. Ottavio did, and in a big way. I ordered one such plate and was surprised against my expectations. My son’s lasagna plate was an even better experience. The selection is not huge but that is a GOOD thing. Add a modern environment and real genuine efforts by staff to keep up with a pace that can at times be hectic and you have a genuine go-to place for the area which, in my experience, is rare for a banner operation. Kudos; keep it up.

I like the decor and the sitting is good also. You dont feel cramped in terms of atmosphere. I had pasta and it was really good + it is a bring your own wine. On weekend, better make a reservation. Overall, a good dining. I wish they could have a little more choices like risotto but I think it comes and goes in terms of the season or month.

Service was very friendly and knowledgeable. Perfect timing on the services, and wine serving. The food was great. Cooked to a perfection. Not expensive at all. Well worth the visit. Dying to return.

We had a very good time at Ottavio! I got the duck and bacon pizza and it was AWSOME. I think good pizza goes down to 2 things: good crispy crust and pizza sauce. Both were excellent. The service was also very good. Well be back!

Ive been there twice on my trip to Montreal recently. First time I had mussels with mushroom sauce (just awesome!) and seafood pasta (very good), so Ive decided to come there again to try something else. It worked just fine as well. Mussels with a different sauce were also great, and duck confit was also delicious. Ill definitely go to that restaurant if I happen to be in Montreal again.

Got great accomodations for allergies. They took the time to explain how they proceed when there are such special requests. We were all happily surprised. Food was delicious with many options to customize. Good job to all the staff!

Kind of overpriced. Not remarquable at all. I was not blown away. My plate was too sweet and my moms too salty so we exchanged meals halfway lol. The place is clean and pretty. Wont be coming back but its good for birthdays. Staff is friendly tho!

The food here always surprises by its quality. I say surprises because you dont often find this type of inventiveness and creativity in a chain restaurant. The menu also changes regularly. Service has always been excellent. If I had to nitpick, its that this place can gey quite loud.

Good food, large portions, good service. Busy but not excessively noisy. Overall a great place to eat. They asked if anyone has food allergies (I do) only odd point is that they charged me 2$ to bring me my own glass of water and silverware so it would not be crossed contaminated with allergens...no big deal but I just couldnt say no...they also have gluten free options.

As a very sensitive celiac, I felt VERY well taken care of there. They get it. The service was fantastic. It is such a treat to eat delicious food with good service and feel safe. I wish there was one in the greater Toronto are! Worth the trip to Montreal!

I’m genuinely confused - why do people like this? I was expecting the pizza to at least be alright but it’s not even that. The crust is like a pita bread and there is far too much sauce on the Margherita. Also the salad was ten bucks and I think there were a dozen pieces of spinach in all. In reading the reviews, people seem to like the food but I just do not get it.

Great place fast service, cheap prices! Italian style but not true Italian restaurent. Lunch specials that you cannot go wrong with. For under $20 including tip one can have a good lunch and be out within 45-minutes!

We had a dinner at Ottavio on July 15th. Food was delicious, Irish-style mussels were the best Ive ever tried. Nice atmosphere, caring waiter, owner himself took a minute to greet us. Awesome experience, highly recommended!

Went there the other night and got sick to my stomach! Had the mussels and some pasta and was up all night. This is the second time this has happened to me while eating at this location. Ive heard of other people with a similar experience at the laval location. Oh and your food is NOT better than my grandmothers....far from it!!! #YourRadioAdSucks

One of the only place you can securely eat gluten free. They really take cross contamination seriously. My son is Celiac so its great to be able go eat out without having to worry.

For the love of god, please turn down that AC! Both time we went, my wife and I caught a cold. We left early because of that, and so did our friends...but like a few said, maybe thats the goal. Still, really unpleasent experience, will never return.

Not too crazy about the pizza I find it too salty but the pasta is great. I think there should be more choices on the menu and the desserts are not that great, however I like that you can bring you own alcohol. Great italian food restaurant. Family birthday party 12+ people last Friday night. Great selection of pasta with pears and Sicilian pizza made right. Service was great and fast, our waiter Chris was friendly and professional. Food tasted great, nice gluten free menu and well priced for the quality of items on our dishes. BYOW was great in a nice clean and modern setting. Only negative comment would be ZERO table dhote during the evening service...pretty strange...owners should look into that as option would be great. The food is good but the service is better. all the waiters and staff are so attentioned to detail and make sure everything is perfect. I usually take the moules, which are so good. But so is the pizza and pasta. dont forget the beignets for dessert! I recommend not taking an entré just so you can have the beignets for dessert ;)
