I proposed to my wife in Rome. Afterwards, we stopped by this charming, neighborhood restaurant for lunch. We were treated like family. The food was great, the service was excellent. We fell in love with Il Ficos warmth and hospitality. We enjoyed Il Fico so much, that we stopped there for a fabulous meal, a delicious dessert, or just a marvelous glass of wine every day of our visit to Rome. With Gods grace, we will be able to visit them again. Enjoy Il Fico. You wont be disappointed.

Stumbled across this cute typical Italian restaurant by accident. The waiters were very friendly, the atmosphere was homely and the food was delicious. Would definitely go back!

This is a very good restaurant to go to while you are in Rome. We especially enjoyed their desserts. We had the Tiramisu and the Assoluto di cioccolato. The service was also very nice as well. Everyone was friendly and we received free limoncellos to end our meal. Highly recommend.

We arrived about 30 minutes before they actually opened and Armando (owner?) sat us at a table and gave us complimentary Prosecco while we waited. We sat outside in a super cute cobblestone alley and enjoyed our drink. We order pasta, calzone, and pizza. All of which was wonderful! The dessert was amazing some concoction of vanilla gelato and bourbon. It was sinfully delish! After we paid Armando brought about about the best limoncello out for us to enjoy. Definitely visit Il Fico if you are in Rome. The food is great, the staff friendly and attentive, and if you are like us who didn’t speak the best Italian (or Spanish) - their English bridges the communication gap.

If you want authentic florentina steak, this is a must! Delicious food, great service and good ambience. Dont forget to dip the biscuits with the sweet wine!!

Excellent food and service!

Great Tiramisu and attentive service. Discovered this very cute spot only after we had already dined elsewhere. We stopped in for late dessert and a glass of wine and were not disappointed.

The food and the service were exceptional and it is located in a very beautiful street away from the crowds.

Good enough but not amazing either

Came here on the seventh day in Italy. So far the best place our family has been to in Italy. Hidden gem. Service is friendly, food is amazing and ambience is great. We especially enjoyed the pasta here and ended up ordering extra pasta and pizza!

Absolutely lovely pasta and pizza, cozy atmosphere, friendly service. Very local, and the surroundings are hilarious, too!

My wife and I have been in Italy for 3 weeks and the meal we had last night was hands down the best meal we have had. The setting is on a quiet side street. The wait staff was excellent. The house wines were superb. It was however the food that was beyond compare. The house antipasto with zucchini flowers was great. I had the saltimbucca and wife had lamb - both were prepared to perfection. We both had a .5 liter of wine, and the tastiest desserts and all was under 80 euro.

Amazing friendly service with a welcome drink & attentive waiters. Usual pizzaria fare but done well, plus some excellent specials. We had a full sea bream with King prawns, shrimps & squid to share. The youths had pizza & pasta. All good quality.

Not worth the money. Very small portions (except the pizza) and the pasta was too salty and the waitress even admitted to it when we complained. The pizza was very good but everything else wasnt worth it. Do not order the Ravioli since you only get 6 of them (super small portion) and the peas that came with it was too hard. They also put the side bread and water on the note without mentioning to us beforehand it cost money, not ok if you ask me. We did get free drinks as compensation but I wouldnt go here again nor recommend anyone else to do so.

Very good food. On our trip we were glad we came across this place and we were glad we did. We had great service. What else do you need, Good service, great food, great staff, great atmosphere.

Fantastic first course!

Great place for families, nice environment. They have an outdoor area with covering for shade. The service is average but the staff are very polite. 6-year-old complained about chair quality however was ridiculed by the rest of their family for doing so. The food was very good, especially the pasta. The pizza wasnt lumpy like others however had a lot of tomato flavouring. Would recommend to anyone.

The cheese on the pizza was not real mozzarella, very nice service stuff, great location. Good prices but quite low quantity of products.

I just wanna say that I strongly recommend this restaurant! The crew was Rome best and food was really good as well! They made as feel like close friends and thats priceless. Dont hasitate go to Il fico and enjoy the stay!

Nice food and friendly staff. Due to thunderstorm we had to stay extra time and was offered free drinks.

We went here one night and because we had such a great experience we searched for like an hour until we found it again because we really wanted to come back. So we ate here the second night again and once again we had a great night. Tasty food and nice staff!

Awesome food! It was far enough from the crowds to provide a relaxed ambience, the staff was friendly and fantastic, and the food was excellent. The class calzone and the pizzas were delicious.

The food is magnificent; fresh, better than your grandmothers best secret recipe. Each time we are treated like royalty. Service starts with a glass of Prosecco. Flexible to your changes. Extremely accommodating and affordable. A must come to; preferably more than once. Armando and Marco are the best!!!

Food was so incredible we went back twice, ask for Valerio he’ll treat you nice. House wine is great, and the calzone the best in Italy!Haven’t beaten it yet!

Good food at a price that wont break the bank

Don’t confuse this with the other “Bar Fico” around the corner. Food was ok - however the pizza oven was not working the night we were there. To top it off, staff reminded us that service was not included on the bill and we were expected to tip.

Great food, everything is fresh and freshly prepared. Pizza is absolutely authentic Italian, if you like it a bit spicy go with the Pizza Picante, youll enjoy it a lot. The dessert was marvelous, try out the ricotta cream or the tiramisu or whatever else they recommend to you. Its worth a visit and a great experience. Service is quick, informative very friendly.

We just loved it there. Very nice service, very good food Average prices for Rome but not a tourist trap at all. It is not overly crowded but not because its not good, probably just because it is not that well known and a bit away from the tourist sights. It is worth the walk!

This restaurant is great. We were looking for a nice place on a Saturday night but many restaurants were crowded. Luckily we found this one. The staff was very friendly and speaks English. The food was delicious. We had Spaghetti Carbonara and some anti-pasti. Both were very good. Also the house wine was not bad at all. Atmosphere is cosy. Prices are moderate.

One of the more traditional Italian restaurants. We were greeted with a small glass of prosecco, then they brought out warm bread (which was delicious) and to finish off the meal they gave us lemoncello, this was all free of charge. The attentiveness of the waiters was great and both the pizza and pasta were delicious. Would highly recommend.

Solid family-friendly restaurant, decent food and some creative options, house wine was good for €10. Arrived early evening with tired kids and food hit the spot for whole family. Trippa alla romana was a surprise for those who like it. Saltimbocca was disappointing — but the accompanying roasted potatoes were a winner. Reasonable prices. Would go back.

Had a great meal here last night, we are staying in HiSuites directly opposite had were greated by really friendly staff and served us brilliantly and the food was superb and very reasonably priced thanks so much

Very friendly service and amazing food. Really enjoyed mushroom porcini with freshly delivered ingredients. The amount of space you have compared to places closer to Pizza Novona was noticeable and appreciated.

Amazing authentic Italian food, wine and great service!

Nice atmosphere and was crowded, so seemingly popular. But the ravioli was clearly not fresh or made on premise...it was somewhat tough to the fork. Tasty but disappointing. And the pizza prioscoutto just had the ham thrown on..and not much of it. Disappointing :(

This is a tourist trap! The waiter was rude and dishonest. I ordered a glass of Prosecco and the waiter gave me a glass of white wine and kept on telling me what I got was Prosecco. He thought I didnt know what Prosecco tastes like. What a jerk! The pasta was just ok not that good. Dont waste your money here.

Great pasta, pizza, and service. They even put our babys formula in the refrigerator.

Would not recommend. The appetizers were fine and the bread really got our hopes up but the pizza and pasta were horrible. I got the carbanara, it looked and tasted like movie theatre nacho cheese thrown on pasta, did not at all resemble the fabulous carbanaras Ive had elsewhere in Rome. My friend got a pizza, the cheese was rubbery and tasteless. By far the worst meal Ive had in italy. Went home hungry and disappointed.

Nice handmade pasta and excellent pizza. Caprese is made with buffalo mozzarella.There were many italian people, that meens its not a tourism crap!The prices are fair. Caprese, pizza, pasta, tiramisu, a bottle of water, glas whine an espresso for 45€ ... Thumb Up

Really bad restaurant, my lamb was overcooked ,my dads pasta were too greasy and the toilets were way too small. I am not going there again.

The pasta was only tasting salt. After the secondo we were totally forgotten.

Simply the best food Ive ever tried in my life. I spent a few days in Rome eating nothing but pasta and pizza in places suggested by the locals and Il Fico was by far the best. The twins, Rudi and Armando made us feel welcome and were friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very cheap for the quality it offers, youll find abysmal fast food restaurants in Rome with higher prices. If you go there, do yourself a favor and ask for the white truffle amatriciana and the tortino di cioccolato. Youll think youve died and gone to heaven.
