A very religious and holy place for Hindu community in Rishikesh.

Rishikund Talaab (Pond) is Rishikesh towns one of the visitable places and attracts a huge number of Pilgrims throughout the year.It is said that this place has been here since ancient times and used to be an bathing place of Rishis and munis.

Also known as Laxman Kund. An ancient place. Folklore says that ganga comes out from this Kund.

Situated just near the Triveni Ghat, is a peaceful temple of Ram Sita and the ancient hot water springs.Outside the temple Shani Mandir is also situated along with the Shiv Mandir.

This is a historic temple full of spiritual energy and glory. But at always i review of place can 3 bases- First the temple really need a good maintenance.- second as usual for transportations you have to play a some extra amount to the drivers available there better if your shortage of money you can use public transport.-third on the basis of ability of hotels and restaurants you can easily get good quality of food and some good hotels also.

Not maintained.Lost all its glory with poor maintenance and corruption of maintaining this area.Cleanliness is a major issue.Restoration is much required.New literate management is required.

Rishikund is a sacred tank located near Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh. It is believed that the goddess of Yamuna river filled this pond with her water, pleased with the gentleness of Saint Kubj. Tourists can see the image of the ancient Raghunath Temple dedicated to Lord Rama and Sita in the water of the pond. Two famous temples, Lakshman Temple and Bharat Temple are also located near Rishikund.

It says theThe kund has aLink with ganga and in ancient the place was visited by Lord rama. But like other spiritual place in this place is also the beggars pickpocketer and lifeters of bag causing disturbance to the deity. The administration should notice the same. From here one can see the ganga arati a beautiful one.

Rishi kund is a small shallow pond. Thousands of years ago a Rishi invoked Yamuna river in this kund and it flowed to merge with Ganga in the Triveni sangam few metres away. You can see that the colour of the water of Rishi kund is blackish just like the colour of Yamuna river. One has to go 10-15 steps downstairs to touch the water of Rishi kund. There is a Shiv Mandir and Ram Mandir adjacent to it. It is a holy place but maintenance is not adequate.
