Again i arrived at Shri Kali run down and tired from a hectic year. Now three weeks has passed and im getting my mojo back. Laying on that floor for yoga is one of my favourite places in the world. Wherever in the world its is! The new location in Rishikesh is great for me. More laid back and on natures doorstep. This visit has given me a fresh appreciation of the supporting practices taught here and added a new layer of understanding of where mantras fit into the system. As always now im packing to go i always miss shri kali. However long you are planning to visit for..double it :)
Even though it is already 5th of January I would like to say Happy New Year to everybody here in Shri Kali.I came here 10 years ago to learn yoga but at Shri Kali I learnt that yoga is not a complex science but a complete science. It taught me that everything is interlinked and not separated, any separation only leads to our own fragmentation of mind, body, emotions etc, which is the cause of psychosomatic problem called disease.I learned that to be total is important not only in my sphere of health and happiness but also in the experience of life in this planet, so through yoga Shri Kali thought me to actually connect to not only people and universe but within my body, my emotion my mind and it helped me to see outside the limited black and white goggles as a unified being, therefore for the past 10 years whenever possible, I come to Shri Kali and enjoy the benefits and hospitality given by Ma Kristina and Bhagavan. Shri Kali takes us from the simplest asana to the complete awareness of Tantra Yoga, life, love and Divine.Welcoming the New Year for Ma Kristina, Bhagavan and everyone. With Love Natalia from Shri Kali
I was looking for traditional understanding of philosophy, not for yoga diploma and I found Shri Kali Ashram – unique place with traditional teaching for inner transformation and growth as human being, place to discover love, joy, inner strength and Divine. If you want to loose weight you will choose a coach who looks great. Same with traditional tantra – if you really want to understand depth of philosophy behind – you will choose a Guru who lives the system, not one who just wearing malas and sitting in lotus posture. Bhagavan Shri Shanmukha Anantha Natha is one who is grow up in Traditional Tantra System and practised it whole life.Traditional systems encourage your independence and selfstudy. It is not just enough to believe in something. Bhagavan want us to really know and understand, therefor in ashram provided variety of lectures like sanskrit, traditional music, ayrveda, anatomy, rituals and philosophy. Lectures are pretty condense, take a good notes, you will not find this information anywhere. To go deeper Divine Initiation is a good book, its like an alphabet for understanding and appreciation any religion, basement for realising universal metaphysical principals. It may take few times reading it to understand it.We are used to think linear, therefor teaching at Shri Kali can challenge the way of thinking but it is the way of traditional teaching. Learning sanskrit is a good tool to get out of linearity of mind. Then I come for 3 years ago I had much back problems, to do asanas was very painful experience, but already after 1 month I could enjoy it and feel benefit. Tri Dosha Asana, pranayama and bandas what you learn in ashram do miracles for body, beside getting flexibility and strength they gently transform your whole self, your emotions, your whole being and allows to seeing yourself and the whole world from totally different perspective. It is whole organic system, all is interlaced and you cant take something or add something new. It is wholesome system, just relax and take as much as you can, read, study, enjoy. How much you give of yourself is how much you will receive back, no matter how long time you stay.I had many question and always got answer from senior students to read this book or that book. (It really help to read!) If you want something make an effort. With time all your question will be answered. Yoga is science of patience. Bhagavan always says what real Guru gives you what you need, not what you want. Now ashram moved to a new place. From sunny beach in Goa to beautiful Ganga in Rishikesh. External conditions changed but system is the same. System teach us to embrace the changes, it is part of the life, dont be afraid of it. You learn her to relax, to flow in asanas, to flow in life. To be openminded and curious like a child. To be happy. To be yourself. To love. This is Shri Kali Ashram. With endless gratitude and love to Bhagavan and Ma Kristina for creating a home for all of as and for all students making this place alive.
