I have never visited a place where I want to be at even when I am half a thousand kilometres away. Yet, Tulsi is that place.AMBIENCEBeing an enviornment-friendly person, when I came to know that this is made of waste material, I was more than happy. Further, the climbers and the creepers and the shrubs make the place all more beautiful. Apart from the places vibe, there is something else you must know. Please do not forget to consider the mosquitoes in case theyre super attracted to you. I have always been troubled by them. An incense stick would work.FOODI lived in a yoga school for a month in Rishikesh and didnt know where I could suppress my cravings. One fine day, a mate told me about this place and since then, I cannot stop thinking about the breakfast shake, the afternoon Ragi Nutella pancake or boiled vegetables and pasta as dinner. I mean I didnt know anybody would ever be able to beat my moms taste but Amit ji (the places owner) has honestly done that. Also, the quantity is great as well so you need not worry if your tummy will be filled or not.BEVERAGESI believe that if youre not a person who lives in this area, you must try the lemon grass tea. They have their own plantation and the fragrance of the leaves simply might make you opt for it. I had Tulsi tea, masala tea, peanut butter and chocolate shake, the special breakfast shake, and a lot more and no drink could make me feel like I should have opted for another one. That good it was.AFFORDABILITYHonestly, at first, I thought that if I keep eating here, I might spend my entire months budget in a couple of days. However, that was totally not the case. Firstly, the prices are extremely affordable and secondly, I believe that the quantity makes it even better. I always had to order only one thing and never another. One would suffice well.SMOKINGIs there a place in Rishikesh that doesnt allow?P.S. If you have read this far and wish to have a meal here, you may. But Ive got a few warnings for you (apart from the mosquitoes).1. There is a very cute cat that resides here. You might like him more than you initially anticipate.2. Amit ji is such a great chef that you will miss the food made by him even when you cannot visit.3. The people here, including Kavita ji, Suraj ji, and others that you may meet if you stop by the kitchen, are so lovely that itll be difficult to say your goodbyes if ever.

A quaint little cafe with rustic vibes, lovely atmosphere, simple menu yet delicious home like food. I had the best time admiring the art with which the curator of this place has put together the entire place.

This restaurant is run by a family which has made it their motto to be eco friendly. The whole restaurant, which is set up on their terrace is made up of waste/ recyclable material.The restaurant is neat and airy. Plants, home-made crafts adorn the walls.We had nutella banana pancake , fried onion cheese pancake and sandwiches . They were awesome. I especially liked banana nutella pancake and sandwiches. Also they make pancakes with ragi and not maida. So its really healthy

Really nice place at the start of the forest. The view is tranquil and the owner is so sweet. The food is really good. Best omelet I’ve ever had; cheese and mushroom omelet. Also please try the homemade jam, yum, and the juices. So clean and fresh!

The best experience ever. Everything on the menu and beyond served with atmost perfection from the Banoffee pie to nutella banana pancake to the Indian food were all great. Fully recommended! The staff is super friendly and accommodating, while the setting is so relaxed and dreamy. My favourite foods there were the savoury pancakes and the mouth-watering banoffee pie (wow, even thinking about it now makes me a little nostalgic). The best thing about the food here is that it’s all home-made: they prepare their own peanut butter, chocolate spread, use raw coconuts to make coconut milk, etc.

This place is run by Family in tiny lane lead to this. The atmosphere, theme to use waste to design this Cafe is appreciated. The food is so simple but feel so good. I can spend hours sitting at this place. The best is fresh lemongrass tea and Banana Pie.. TM

Tulsi is a family owned, little oasis, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Rishikesh. Amit and his wife made everything in the garden out of recycled goods. Their food and drinks are creative and unique. They give everything a personal twist and are very open to new suggestions, you can really make anything out of their menu. It is located up on a hill on the edge of the forest. You might get a glimpse of their beautiful daughter, the butterflies and praying mantas in the garden.

I loved this place while in Rishikesh. The owner Amit has a big heart and is an amazing cook. The food quality is incredible. Strongly recommend visiting and ordering mango juice and pancakes...

Words cannot even describe how special Tulsi is. As soon as we arrived it felt like a second home. The food is INCREDIBLE - so fresh and healthy. It was a nice break from yoga teacher training and has lots of healthy drinks and food. The banoffee pie is a must as well as the raw vegan brownie. Everything is homemade and is made with so much love. I will definitely be coming back to Tulsi when Im next in Rishikesh. Thank you for making my stay in India so special💕

Beautifully handmade place

Tulsi Cafe is a beautiful little hideaway up in the trees of a small corner of Rishikesh. It has been a safe haven for stressed yoga students to find a quite place to study, hang out, or do nothing and just gaze at the mountains. Its impossible not to feel relaxed while youre here. The food is incredible and all vegetarian/vegan. Ami and his family are just the sweetest people and do so much for the community with their earnings from the cafe. Most of their furniture and decour is upcycled which only adds to the ambience. Plus, its the perfect place to go when its raining. :)

Tulsi is the best restaurant Ive been to in Tapovan, Rishikesh.They have an awesome ambiance, built from waste materials and totally handmade...People at Tulsi are so welcoming and this place feels like home to me..The food is so good, that you would want to go there everyday.Ive been visiting this place daily for 3 months, and have tried all their dishes...The best dishes, I would recommend are:-1. Rose chia seed shake2. Pineapple mint juice3. Acai bowl (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)4. Eggplant Mozzarella pancake

Tulsi had become my second home as I visited tapovan in Rishikesh for few months but after some time I get bored not having healthy and delicious meals as I almost tried many cafes and restaurants then some day I met with tulsi restaurant owner Amit that is amazing down to earth person and I tried Nutella banana pancake that was so delicious that I go daily 2km walk just to have same thing again and again and then I tried tofu sandwiches fruit juice shaksuka or most famous recipe that he prepare for special customers that is banofiie piee.The taste that I got here will not get anywhere and will miss you alwaysTulsi was the only reason to make me survive in devbhoomi.They serve food with love with positive energy and if anyone want to try delicious food with lots of love and not so expensive then once visit tulsi restaurant.Thanks Amit sir and sooraj for your efforts and taking care of my health and all the best 👍

Just perfect. I spent a lot of time at Tulsi during my YTT, it’s a unique and peaceful restaurant, which felt like home. Amit is a wonderful guy, as is the rest of the staff. The iced coffee with coconut milk is the best I ever had, not to forget the banoffee pie. Many great memories from this place, study breaks and lovely evenings at the campfire. Dhanyavad!

When I try to come up with the best way to review Tulsi, I cant seem to find the words to describe just how amazing this place is so I will just say that you will not find a better place to visit in Rishikesh. The owner (Amit) is such a kind person who ensures that everything that comes out of the kitchen is prepared perfectly. You must give it a try - I have no doubt youll keep coming back again and again.

Tulsi is a special place, I was in Rishikesh for 5 weeks and came here almost daily. Not only is their food delicious, but its owned by the most amazing people who truly care about their customers. If there’s something you’re craving that isn’t on the menu, just ask and they will do their best to make it for you.Must try: vegan banoffee pie, cheese & egg sandwich, mushroom pasta, and the FRIES! Oh and the apple samosas if they’re available...

Just a 10 minutes walk from central Rishikesh you find this authentic family owned restaurant. It felt really good to exchange the sounds from cars and a busy town to the sounds of nature. The perfect escape for a relaxing lunch or coffee break. Its already a amazing restaurant with all kinds of trees and plantations for organic options but they also have plans to expand it to build a area for yoga/meditation practices, more plantations for shadows etcetera. Go check it out!

I dont recommend it.There are no employees before it is delicious and unpleasant.It seems that he went to call me if he was a neighbor, but he didnt come.As for the scenery, I can only see the hotel under construction in front of me.There is no point in going far.

Delicious. Naturally. Purely. A beautiful place (on the border with the forest), located away from crowds of tourists. The restaurant is located at different levels up the side of the mountain. Being here you feel the nature around. I liked the mashed potatoes (mushed potatoes) - simple and tasty, a large portion.

It was a little hard to get there at night for the first time but it was definitely worth it!Eamed the kind and pleasant place in the picture sat with us and explained to us his desire to convey a message about the consumption of plastic and its damage and so does the place in the spirit of recycling whether in chairs and tables, and until these harmful tools are not used.Next to it and the stunning place the food he prepares is excellent and heartfelt! The place is intimate and non-commercial everything is done with real intent.There were other very satisfied customers.I ordered eggplant pancakes and mozzarella was excellent!Great experience and thought to give support to good people who do something about environmental protection!

Small haven of peace ... Far from the noise of the city center ... when we come we stay there for a while .. free to chat with the boss Amit or the customers, read, make music or even to practice meditation or yoga ..! It feels like home! On the menu side, Amit only cooks local and makes everything homemade. Exclusively vegetarian menu, with vegan and gluten-free options .. the prices are ridiculous for the quality involved. Passionate about cooking, he is open to proposals and recipes from all over the world .. sharing is the watchword of this little cocoon at the edge of the forest ... Go there with your eyes closed!

It is the corner of happiness in Rishikesh, where food is like an internal hug and the cook and owner is an external hug. Amit is an excellent person and with a gift for cooking, quality food.
