The name Panipat is reminiscent of the great battles that were fought here between might forces over many centuries. According to the legend, Panipat was one of the five villages (Prasthas) founded by the Pandavas during the time of “Mahabharata”; it´s historic name being “Panduprastha”. The first verse of the Bhagwat Geeta is possibly referencing Panipat as “Dharamkshetra”. The three historic battles of Panipat were fought here, which were the turning points in Indian history. Panipat has situated on the bank of the river Yamuna. This District is bordered by District Karnal, Sonepat, Jind, Kaithal, and the State of Uttar Pradesh. Panipat is situated on Grand Trunk road built by Sher Shah Suri and is just 96 Kms. North of National Capital, Delhi. The newly constructed flyover across the Grand Trunk road is one of the longest flyovers in India.Panipat is a city of textiles and carpets. That´s why it is also known as “City of Weavers” or “City of Handloom”. It is the biggest center of “Shoddy Yarn” in the world. The “Achar Pachranga” is a well known Indian pickle produced in Panipat since 1925. Panipat also has heavy Industries with a refinery of Indian Oil Corporation, a National Thermal Power Corporation plant, and a National Fertilizers plant. The Samalkha subdivision is also famous for the foundry of agricultural instruments. The main places of attraction in Panipat are the Panipat Museum, Tomb of Ibrahim Lodhi, Kabuli Bagh, Devi Mandir, Kala Amb, Salar Gunj Gate, and Tomb of Sufi Saint Bu Ali Shah Qalander.Panipat remained a part of Karnal District till 31st October 1989 and thereafter it was upgraded as a separate District.Hon’ble Sir Shadi Lal, who had adorned the seat of Chief Justice of High Court of Judicature at Lahore from 1920 to 1934 and Member of Judicial Committee, Privy Council, London from 1934 to 1938, hailed from this place. Sir Shadi Lal was born in 1872 in a family well known not only in Rewari but also in neighboring areas. He passed away on 27 March 1945.It cannot be said that Rewari had no contribution to the first struggle for independence in the year 1857. Rao Tula Ram and Krishan Gopal were the two warriors of this area who fought aggressively against the British rulers with the help of Samrat Bahadur Shah Zafar. The land of Rewari is also called Veer Bhumi because the people of Rewari feel pride in serving the Indian Army.Sessions Division at Rewari started functioning on 9th May 2005. Earlier to it, Rewari district was a part of the Narnaul Sessions Division. District and Sessions Courts of Rewari is in the complex of Mini Secretariat near Rajeev Chowk. The court complex is having all infrastructure and adequate spaces for offices but parking space is not adequate as nowadays vehicles have increased rapidly. This is known as Nyay Mandir for poor people who only have hope in our judiciary system.

District Court Campus, Rewari was shifted to this spacious multi-story modern building from Model Town near Bal Bhawan in 2001.This is a two storied building with spacious court rooms & public amenities like drinking water, toilets etc.The campus is quiet close to Mini Secretariat Rewari & thus makes it convenient for a person to complete all relevant tasks in nearby location in same day.The two compound share same canteen & shops.

Located near Rajeev chowk, it is easily visible from the main road. The District court has ample of parking space but it is difficult to get parking for four wheelers within the premises. Although four wheelers can be parked in a ground behind the district court. The premises also houses the district Secretariat which has office of Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police.

I think everyone in India afraid in the name of law not because of enforcement features but because how criminals and police trap simple peoples in it. Worst place. Too dirty, super over crowded. A big looting place in India. I think all courts should be termed in the same way.
