Doranda Head Post office is among the the most largest post office in the Ranchi, one is located near Firayalal Chowk and other is in doranda. The post is in front of the pollution control board or near Fish Park. It is on the main road. It has free parking facilities. There are xerox and photocopy shops nearby post office, they also have almost all the stationary required during posting something. The post office has 6 counters, each deals will their area of influence. The PO also has refreshment center. They also display local jharkhand artifacts and interested individuals can purchase. You can use the post office facility to :-1) sent letters to the entire globe.2) open saving account3) can use the facility of speed post and registry4) can open sukanya samridhi accounts5) can open jandhan accountsEtc....Overall its a well maintained government office.

The staffs are rude and helpful at the same time.

Indian post must immediately be privatized. This doranda office is OK, but their speed post service is not. Please never use speed post service for urgent stuff. I had a lettter for another state, destination was located just at the outskirts of a major city. They said it will take only 2-3 days. Today is the 8th day, and the consignment is still sitting in the destination district for many days. No use complaining to anyone. The rates are cheap, and the service is also very cheap.

Worst place . They just waste your time and pretend that link is fali. They show link fail for like 2 hrs and roam around the office doing nothing and enjoying there own.

The official working hours for all services is:Mon - Fri :- 9am - 4pm & Sat:- 9am - 3pm.Except Stationary & enquiry service which is open from:9am to 5pm on all working days.This post office is very clean & tidy, situated at prime location with multiple facilities.

Post office is good as it is a head post office. You can also buy the old postal stamp for your collections. And also small food and beverages counter inside of post office.

I have opened my account No. in Doranda post office 10 days back. I was informed that money can be withdrawn from any other post office.I have tried to withdraw money in Aurangabad (Bihar) on 19.12.2017 but denied because my signature has not been uploaded in the post office web server for checking purpose by other post office.This has shocked me and limited (compelled) my scope of operation.In view of the same, you are requested for urgent necessary action so that I could operate my account any where in India.

The behaviour of staff of counter no 13 of spped post department is worst.Otherwise all talk so politely but he is the worst person that i have ever met in my life.Due to him i lost my job .

All postal services are available. Savings account and other postal schemes like KVP , MIS available. The staff is very efficient. Generally this place isnt crowded. They also have a small store for gift items inside.

Examination was done on 10th, 4th, 2016. No result for postman mail guard of Jharkhand postal department has been given, no exception is taking place. We need information which is why the result of the candidate has been stopped. Is not the post department taking the steps? Sir coming......

Just for a passbook i had circled around 3 days each and every day they were like- aaj nhi sir kal aaye. Same situation happened when I needed a cheque book.
