During covid time very tight security is there. RPF are everywhere and give instructions to wear mask and check other security measures.Ranchi junction comes under South eastern railway zone and Ranchi is itself a division of south eastern railway. Total 6 platform. Station code is RNC. Hatia Station is only 6km far away from Ranchi Junction.

Major station in jharkhand with separate railway division here.Trains to all over india is available from here. Rajdhani shatabdih premier trains are connecting Delhi and howrah. Daily intercity trains to dhanbad, howrah tatanagar, rourkela. Hatia station is 6 km way from here.parking is also available.

The station was clean and had necessary precautions for travellers. Antigen and RTPCR test was being done too.

Station should be developed as it gets lots of commuters. (One restroom for women which can be troublesome if it gets damaged/during maintenance or repair.)

I visited ranchi junction after 2-3 years and I was amazed to see the changes ,it has completely transformed,the station has been rennovated ,the platform length has also been increased,the station looks very clean than what it used to be,there are baggage scanning machines ,chairs to sit ,it is great to see the infrastructure improve.

It is one of the cleanest railway stations of Jharkhand state. Around is clean hygienic , and you can get ecstatic view. Entry and exit process is really very good. There is fortification going on and fortification has already been done that makes this situation attractive and a kind of selfie zone for selfie lovers.

Home State Capital has a wonderful, decorative and clean railway station. Foods and water available inside the station but little expensive than market. Its a large junction in Jharkhand and for ticket online and offline are available. To get ticket of 2.30 scheduled train, come before 2.15 and line up for 10 min to get your ticket. If not then you left your train. If you do that means you are smart.

Ranchi junction has quite few platforms in comparision to other major railway junctions of india. Many trains initiated from ranchi junction. One can travel from ranchi to other cities by mail, express, jansatabdi, rajdhani etc. Platforms of this railway station usually remains clean. Irctc food plaza is annexed to the main gate of junction. Passengers and others can have lunch, dinner, fruit juice and other edables including deserts.

The capital primary railway station with maximum crowd inflow and managed accordingly. Few observations:-No underpass between platforms for easy running-Narrow entrance for vehiclesThe place has a Tatkal counter and multiple booking counters too.

First time I visited Ranchi. The thing I loved about Ranchi is that it is quite developed city and the most important thing that make Ranchi more special for me is that our Captain Cool belongs to this city. The first impression of the railway station was quite good. Neat and clean platforms. Well decorated and beautiful station. But their should be lifts in every platforms. Overall it was awesome experience. The scenery in the whole journey was awesome. The hills, beauty of the forest, weather all was awesome. Love this city. Hope will visit soon.

This is the capital of Jharkhand, so may expect the excellent facilities over here. And truly you will get more or less everything which are needed for a passenger. They Ramp, Lift, Waiting room, Food Court, Retiring room and a lot of other facilities. The platforms are also clean but it has to be more. They have display board in every platform with continuous announcement over the speaker. Overall, it is a class 1 station.The station doesnt have a specific and organized Cab booking counter. Though you can have the Taxi (cab) and Auto (Three wheel vehicle) stand just beside the station from where you can have a ride for city tour or you may go to your destination. But I will suggest you to book an Ola or Rapido in case of urgency. Cause the local taxi and auto drivers are not professional and will charge you randomly. They may ask you ₹300 for 10-12km where Ola or Rapido may charge for only ₹60-₹70. So it is better to avoid such local taxis and auto drivers.

This place have a great infrastructure and an equally clear environment. It also has a big parking lot for car and bikes and an auto stand on the footstep. This place also provides a railware WiFi which is quite fast. The only thing which this place lacks is crowd management whenever a train arrives people could barely walk on the platform.

Very good Railway station with most of the facilities are in working condition. Trains are available for most of the parts of India. Cleanliness is good and waiting rooms are also good.

Very comfortable station 4 passenger. Ranchi Station outside beauty is fantastic especially in night. All things you need as a passenger available on the platform.

Police are checking tickets then allowing to enter inside the railway station. Chairs were there to sit individually. Helpline team numbers were giving to the females traveling alone by female police. No tickets booking in station. Water ATM is available with price of 5rupees for one litre. Cleanliness is maintained. Only few peoples were not wearing masks.

This is an A1 category station in the system of Indian Railways. The cleanliness is pretty much on point. This is the main railway station serving the capital of Jharkhand, mostly for the North bound trains with 5 platforms for Express trains while platform 1A serves the suburban EMU trains. The only thing is the lack of direct trains for different states.
