Located nearly 60 km away from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, Deori Mandir is dedicated to Ma Solha Bhuji...Devi Durga with 16 hands. This very old and famous temple is unique as the main attraction is the stone structure of Devi Durga with 16 hands ( traditionally Devi has 8 hands) and original temple has no proper structure..only some large stones on top of each other. The temple complex is vast and a newer temple is founded covering the old one.

One of the most renowned religious Hindu place where you find Devi maa with 16hands .....u can also see the old temple which remains intact inside ....its believed that whenever they tried construction new temple or making changes in old there was a clamity in near by village like flood , earthquake etc

When I entered the temple area it feels so relaxing, soothing and local says about the fact that if you wish something, it will come true and the fact is true even Ms Dhoni came here for prayer before any cricket match.

Went there Early morning Reached at 07:00 Am It was not to Crowdy at that time. Took All essential things for the Pooja. But after 08:00 Am there are too many people Who comes here and gets too crowded especially on Sunday morning. You can come here early and you can Do your Pooja peaceful.

Huge crowd when I visited temple. Officials of the temple are so corrupt that they take money and allow other visitors from second entry. Others complain but they turn deaf ear to them.

My favorite place.. It feels like heaven..

A great religious temple situated almost 60 km from Ranchi.

No management atall, cramped place when crowded. Rude management people out there not open to suggestions. People stand in queue for hours and VIPs simply come, enter the place get darshan, take their own sweet time to click selfies inside the premise.

The beautification of the temple has been done nicely and infrastructure improved significantly in the recent past. However, work is still incomplete, especially inside the temple. Housekeeping and upkeep around the temple needs major improvement as well. During our last visit we couldnt go inside the temple and had to pray from the gate. Social distancing and crowd management also needs to be done to minimize COVID risk.

Temple is known for its glory. MS Dhoni former Indian captain always visit this temple when he is in Ranchi. Parking facility is available. Everything thing is well managed. Try to be early else you are going to spend lot of time in queue.

It is very old, no one knows who and when it is built. The inner old temple is separated from the new one.

I feel such activity should not take palce.The best thing about the temple is - it’s located on main highway, you don’t need to search more.If you going by road, you can stay for few minutes & can do darshan over here in brief time.Temple is still under construction, I am visiting there for last 10 years, there is some historical reasons behind non- completion of the construction as told by someone there by (I couldn’t verify the facts though)
