Tagore hill is situated in between the heart to the city. Its the best place to get a 360 degree view of the Ranchi city. Come in the evening and enjoy sunset from here. There is no entry fee bit there is a parking fee of rs 20 for 4 wheelers and rs 10 for 2 wheelers. There is no bathroom facility, which is a huge drawback of this place. Need to climb up a descent number of steps to reach to the top.

Does not have many steps... and can be easily covered by people of all ages. The view from top point is unexplainable. It feels like a visit to another fairyland when you reach above. Has places for proper seating too. Also you can have view of whole city Ranchi from here. But be careful when taking your children as it has high risks of accident if not taken care of. Very beautiful place and a must go place in Ranchi. Everyone knows about Asias first Nobel Lauriate Rabindranath Tagore. But his elder brother, Jatirindranath Tagore, who was also a very genius and very knowledgeable person, a renowned business person is lesser known to the world. He influenced Rabindranath a lot from his childhood. But after the sad demise of his beloved wife Kadambini Devi he withdrew himself from every outside affairs. He chose to spent last fifteen years of his life in the calm and serene lap of Morabadi hill. Later this hill was named after him and called Tagore hill. One can have a birds eye view of Ranchi city from the top of this hill. Watching sunset from here is another great experience.

What was once Jyotindranath Tagores (Rabindranath Tagores elder brother) abode is now a tourist place, mostly frequented by love-stricken teenager couples. When it is time to shut shop, security guys have a hard time extricating the pairs from the nooks and corners of rocks and bushes. No amount of security whistling can budge these lovebirds from their romantic stupor.

It is around 300 feet high and 4 KM from Albert Ekka Chowk. The hilltop has a long associated history with the revered poet and Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore. Here Rabindranath Tagores elder brother Jyotirindranath Tagore settled in 1912 after the death of his wife, Kadambari Devi. He built a house named Shanti Dham and a monument named Brahma Sthal, he later died in 1925. The Centre of Divyayan and Agararian Vocational Institute along with the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram is also located in the premises of this hill.Its a place of attraction for Jharkhand tourism due to its connection with great poet Rabindranath Tagore‌s elder brother.

Tagore hill provides good panoramic view of Ranchi from its top. There are around 200-250 steps which are required to be climbed for reaching the top of the hill thus it makes it very uncomfortable for elderly people to reach at the top.On the way to the top you will also find a house which belongs to relatives of Sri Rabindranath Tagore Jee. Once you have reached the top you can enjoy a mild breeze of air flowing around and view of Ranchi city is mesmerising. Provision of parking is also provided in the vicinity.
